I got the coconut bubble tea, it was average compared to other bubble tea spots in NYC. You barley tasted the coconut milk flavor which is the main flavor I want. The tapioca is above average honestly. Place has great potential.

I live in the neighborhood and always stop by Kung fu tea for a drink. It's usually very busy but they do a great job of preparing the drinks quickly. My favorites are the Kung fu tea, taro, and the new addition of Thai tea. If you don't like very sweet drinks, makes sure to tell them to add less sugar as they typically add a lot. Make sure to download their app for rewards !

Room temperature ice means regular ice for this drink.

If I can give them no stars for their customer service I would. They are the worst. Literally. I ordered on the app for the first time because it's 95 degrees out and no one wants to stand on line for that long. On the app I ordered two drinks with the option to choose -ice option. One passionfruit green tea and Milk Green tea both with room temp ice. Of course I wanted an iced cold drink with regular ice so here I thought their app option for ice says "room temperature" meaning regular ice. There was only 4 choices- no ice, less ice, room temp and more ice. HOW DID I GET A HOT DRINk?!?! I went to ask if I can change it to cold they said no and that it was my fault for choosing the ice option. ?????!!. Seriously. They even wanted me to pay for the cup of ice but they gave it to me because they didn't want to remake me another drink.. how much is it to remake another drink KFT? Ridiculous. 95 degrees out and heavy traffic area. Never coming back. And Oh, they were talking smack in chinese and they didn't think I understood it because I spoke English to them.

Pudding milk tea

I visited this place often when I was younger. I stopped by today and they had redone the layout. There's more space for customers to stand while waiting for a drink. I got the pudding milk tea with half sugar and half ice. My total was $3.81 since the pudding is a $.50 up charge. While waiting for the drink I noticed the front area hadn't been cleaned in a while. The drink was okay. The milk tasted different than what I was used to. There was a really big portion of pudding which I cannot complain about. I probably won't come back for another drink though. Feels like the recipe has changed.

Meh $4 for a wow bubble milk tea. Literally taste like drinking plain milk with bubbles. Gross. No flavor no nothing. Waste of money.

Busy but fairly…read moreclean, lots of foot traffic, people come and go, but otherwise a great spot to grab a drink or a bite with friends. There's a lot of bubble tea competition in the area so it's nice to see them thriving. My usual rotation is: Wonder Grape - light and refreshing, my most ordered drink Hojicha Latte - my caffeine pick when I want that roasted flavor Coco Mango - more of a dessert drink, reminds me of mango sai mai lo Mochi O Sesame - dessert like, creamy and satisfying Pomegranate Burst - my no caffeine antioxidant pink drink during that time Persimmon series - my actual favorite but it only shows up during the fall season They also have snacks like popcorn chicken, crispy chicken burgers, and eggy waffles. One thing though, this location doesn't seem to carry the cauliflower that I've had and liked from other Jooy spots. I still think their older signature drinks are the most reliable. Some of the newer series feel a little rushed. I tried the pear series and the pear tasted unripe while the pomelo was a lot which made the drink come out pretty bitter. The guava series was also too light when I tried it, almost like guava tinted tea.

Tried the recommended guava matcha cream, really delicious and not too sweet. I did ask for less ice but it still seemed a lot to me and the cream was good however next time I'll try without. It is pricey but a nice treat once in a while.

My sister has the app, so she was able to order for pick-up. The order took 20 minutes, so we went to pick up some groceries in the area before heading to pick up the drinks. When you first walk in, you are hit with the lovely and fragrant smell of tea leaves, and freshly brewed tea. I went with one of the more popular drinks - Coconut Mango Blue. I don't normally love coconut flavor but you couldn't taste it too much here. You taste more of the mango flavor, which was refreshing. I had never had blue spirulina before and it didn't really taste like anything. Again, you just taste more of the mango. Hubby had the Green Grape Boom, which was a little melty by the time he drank it so it would have tasted much better if it was still slushy. I think next time, I would try just a plain Jasmine tea, so that I could really taste the flavor of the tea.

My favorite from HeyTea is still the Triple Supreme Matcha Latte and the Mango Grapefruit Boom. I also love how their app timing is almost accurate and even when they're extremely busy they still maintain a clean environment. Would highly recommend.

Almost all other tea shops in this neighborhood close pretty early so that definitely sets this establishment apart. The milk tea was made well, just the appropriate amount of sweetness. I will say the Boba was slightly over cooked and on the gummier, softer side. The tea flavor selection is a little bit limited I feel, but not entirely a dealbreaker. They offer some savory snacks as well which I would be curious to try next time. Overall, solid spot for some authentic milk tea.

My sister and I have passed by this place multiple times in the past, though we never stopped by to try any of their drinks. This past Saturday, my sister wanted to try someplace new, so we decided to go to Upwind. When we walked in, there were only two staff: a tea-rista/cashier and a tea-rista in training. Both were very patient as we looked through the menu. My sister ended up ordering the kumquat lemon green tea with no sugar, and I really liked how the tea-rista/cashier advised that she get it with 30% sugar as it may be too sour for her taste. My sister reassured her that she wanted it with no sugar, and then the tea-rista in training proceeded to make her drink. The kumquat lemon green tea was tart like my sister preferred, the service was quick, and the staff were very nice. Overall, pleasant experience.
