The bottom line: 4.5 stars--it's boba+ and we like it, especially taro milk tea with boba or some of the specialty drinks. The weekend service is pretty quick, it's in the fun industrial section of Ballston mall, and it's a the same price as other boba (always a tad pricey unless you're in Taiwan). Once in a while they're out of traditional boba, but no big deal. We will keep coming back for our chewy, sugary tea treat. read more

This is a chain location and they have consistent quality I'd say! Very easy to order usually only one person or two behind the bar but orders always come out within 5 to 8 minutes! You have the kiosk, the menu up above and you can also ask the worker for help which I did and she was very friendly and helpful! My drink was good. I think I will stick to my Thai iced tea or Matcha milk tea because I just tried the rosehip and it wasn't too sweet, but it didn't taste like rose. I'm not a huge fan of kung fu tea but I wanted boba and it was there at the downstairs food court of Ballston quarters where i had an appointment. Why am I not a fan of kung fu tea? Their teas are too mild and watery. They taste like sugar water. Not authentic. This location is no different. I never reviewed this kung fu tea because I don't like giving bad reviews as the service is lackluster; however, kung fu tea is my second favorite Boba tea place. However, I'm giving a review because one of the employees really changed the game with regards to service. Her name is Luna. I'm not sure when she works, but I came on a Sunday evening. She was super responsive and was not asleep at the wheel. Tips 1) ordering online is faster; sometimes they have a line. 2) if you have a problem, ask for Luna specifically 3) it's inside of the Boston market so you won't see it on the street 4) if you ask for less ice, you will need to tell them to make it cold, unless Luna takes your order! read more

So happy they opened in Ballston Quarter! They have many options across espresso, slush/frozen drinks, milk teas, and tons of new flavors. There are so many to choose from so it's a bit overwhelming, but you can't go wrong with any of the milk teas. My favorites are the Thai, oolong, oolong with honey and winter melon milk tea. The boba are fresh, sweet and not frozen like some other places! We will for sure be back. read more

I cannot believe I did not write a review for this place. A few years ago, before trying this place, as someone who does not like tea, I didn't even dare to try bubble tea once in my life. It wasn't nice till I came to this place where not only it was known to be pretty trendy and popular but they had something called "Wow Milk", which was basically Boba without tea. I got the Oreo Wow Milk and let me tell you, it really "Wow'd me!" Not only was the Oreo, sweetness amazing (sweet enough without being overbearing), but the temperature and consistency of the drink was also very balanced. I was so afraid that the ice would make the milk super diluted, but instead, it made the milk less heavy. and the fact that it was Lactaid they were using helps with my lactose tolerance. Still to this day, this is my number 1 favorite place to get bubble tea all thanks to the Oreo Wow (I do get other flavors as well, which are equally as good). read more

Honestly I came here because of the prophylactic need for a milky sugary drink to go with my flipping hot hot Lola chicken sandwich. I am not the biggest fan of this bubble tea chain whatsoever but there was nothing else with a sweet dessert vibe in this complex so here I was. I got the mocha with bubbles and NATA jelly. Don't ask me what nata jelly is because I still have no clue and I haven't had a chance to Google it. The drink itself is just okay but that's not the major reason I'm downgrading this venue. There is no one to actually take the order You're ordering at a kiosk. If I'm doing all that work to save a business for the cost of labor then I should get a discount. On the Converse, the kiosk actually has the audacity to ask me if I want to leave a tip. What in the actual forge. Anyway after I bypass that the other major issue I have with this are the straws. Everyone knows that when you get bubble tea you need the extra diameter to suck up the bubbles but they pretty much give you regular straws so all of the bubbles get stuck and wedged at the tip or Midway in the straw making it impossible to use. This is not a genius at work sort of operation so I would think that this would be a pretty easy thing to not have an oversight on but whatever. I think for the size of the drink it is definitely overpriced. This cost over $5 for the small size which I think is ridiculous. Usually I just make my own bubble tea and I think I will stick to that. If I do go out for bubble tea I prefer to go to Eden center where they have so many better options my personal favorite is Saigon deli. Oh and if you do come here be sure to use the Yelp check-in for the free add-in. I wish I had done that before but oh well I don't plan on coming back. read more

Came here on a Tuesday night a month after opening. They gave me a free topping for downloading the app, and next time I'll have to check out the Yelp coupon! Anyway, ambiance was great considering its in a food court that has a variety of high quality food. Service was also fast as you'd expect! Drink wise - not as much of a fan of their boba texture and their fresh milk tea wasn't too fresh tasting. However, I'm coming with a biased perspective considering how many boba places I've tried. They also did not let me know it was ready for pickup at the designated time which led to it melting and them acting as if it was my fault.
