Mochi donuts
Nancy R.

It is always fun to wander around Edens in search of new places to try. This day, after lunch, we went in search of dessert and found a great selection of mochi donuts and cold drinks at Gong Cha. Some of the ones we tried included the black sesame, mango, coffee, matcha, Oreo and chocolate - not all at once For drinks we chose the passion fruit smoothie which had a lot of flavor once it melted a bit and the danger of mega brain freeze had passed and the milk foam Vietnamese iced coffee. I would have liked a little stronger of a coffee taste but it was still good. The staff was very patient as we gazed at the posters depicting their most popular offerings and tried to choose. I thought their wall art which made little people out of light bulbs was whimsical. Even though the center gets very crowded, we didn't have trouble finding parking out front.

Nice bubble tea chain establishment with a selection of bubble teas, milk tea, smoothies, a few coffees, and more. I had a regular hot coffee with creme brulee foam as a topping, as well as a matcha donut to complement my drink. Both the coffee and tea met my expectations! Would you believe that the first location I ever went to was in the Northbridge neighborhood of Perth on a trip to Australia in 2017? So coming here brought back some nostalgia and memories from the past, but on the other side of the world!

It was definitely an interesting place, and it was very nicely decorated and very clean. The donuts were interesting. I didn't really like them, but that's because of my taste buds. They were well cooked and they were fresh and they were warm and they were really nice. I just didn't like the way they taste. The service was good. We ordered from the kiosk and the food was out and about 5 to 10 minutes and they had just made it in front of us.

Great boba, can't go wrong with gong cha. There's a service kiosk you can order from or someone can help you at the cash register too. Everything is clean and drink came out fast. They have a LINE partnership where you can buy/get cute keychain accessories if you order a minimum of $24!

Love this place for boba, waffles and mochi donuts. Located conveniently in Eden Center.

Gong Cha - The Perfect Saturday Morning Pick-Me-Up! Saturday mornings are for errands, but before we dive into the hustle, our ritual always starts with a stop at Gong Cha. This time, I went for a Vietnamese coffee with 50% sugar -- just the right amount of sweetness to kickstart the day. Jasmine tried the Earl Grey Milk Tea, a smooth, fragrant choice that had her grinning from the first sip. And then there's my nephew, our little Saturday sidekick. The scoop of ice cream from Gong Cha? Absolute genius. It keeps him entertained and happy, which means we can get through the market and all our errands with smiles all around. Watching him savor each spoonful while we sip on our drinks has become part of the routine, and honestly, it's one of the highlights of our weekend. If you're looking for a spot to add a little joy to your Saturday routine, Gong Cha is where it's at. Great drinks, fun treats for the kids, and the best way to start a busy day with family.

Even thought this is a chain, it's still my favorite place to get boba inside of Eden center. The milk tea had a very strong tea flavor, which I like. They have two very large screens that you can order your drinks. You can even add your phone number to get rewards points.

Vibes!!!!

They do get busy at times, but their drinks are always consistent and the service is pretty fast. I also recently noticed that they use organic milk for their drinks, which made me even more impressed. It's great to see a shop that cares about the quality of ingredients they use. Jay, the owner, always stands behind the quality of his drinks and the service. I've been here multiple times, both to grab drinks to go and to sit and work for a while. It's always a pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend!

This spot was a few doors down from where we had lunch, so I decided to check them out. I saw they had matcha, but no options without milk. So I asked the cashier if I could get an iced matcha made with water instead of milk. I will pay for a version with milk, but I only wanted matcha, water, and the toppings. No milk, no dairy subs, no sweetness. She said she could do this in slush form. I asked what that meant and she said it's just like a slushie made with ice. That's sounded fine so I said go ahead. I got he receipt above, so I made sure to confirm there is no milk, no sugar. Just the matcha, water, and toppings, right? She said yes, so I went over to the seating area to wait. I figured the 10% sweetness and whole milk was something they had to enter into the system for that drink and they made notes to correct it to what I wanted. When I got the drink, it was a milky green, so I was super confused. I asked again, this has no milk and added sweetness, and they said yes. At that point I felt annoying, so I just left with the drink. Unfortunately it did taste milky / creamy so I didn't finish it. The toppings were good tho. It was unfortunately since I really wanted a matcha. I just don't like milk or cream in my teas or coffees. For the milk teas and drinks like that, I'm sure this spot is probably great. I know my request is rather odd for a boba tea spot, so maybe they misunderstood that I just wanted a matcha tea with toppings. I did tip them a dollar on top since they were really nice. But I just wish I got what I ordered. REVIEW #3885

It's become a favorite spot for my daughter and me, and we've even hosted several hangouts for her friends there. It's the perfect low-key environment for a small group. The interior has a great vibe; kids (and likely plenty of adults) love making the origami cranes that decorate the room. My daughter and her friends always head straight for the traditional seating area with the pillows on the floor, though there are plenty of regular tables if you prefer the standard setup. On the menu, the Beef Banh Mi is a standout. It's easily the best you'll find in this part of town without making the trek out to the Eden Center. The meat is juicy, the roll is excellent, and they offer it with or without an egg. The secret stars of the menu, however, are the basil fries. They are excellent and come with a fantastic house-made dipping sauce that pulls it all together. While my daughter is the boba fan of the duo, I stick to the coffee and smoothies. Just be cautious with the Vietnamese coffee--if you aren't a seasoned veteran, that caffeine kick will have your heart racing for hours. The staff is consistently fast, friendly, and efficient. It's a local neighborhood staple that we'll keep coming back to. My only complaint is that they are not a coffee shop for early AM!

It was delightful -- not too sweet, with notes of honey and an almost floral-like flavor. At $7 a cup, it was definitely pricey, but pretty reasonable for the area as I've also seen plenty of cafes and boba shops charge similar prices for lower quality drinks. The staff was super friendly, and I love that they had one of their juicing machines right next to the register. It was really fun to watch them work, and the machine spit out all the extra sugar cane skins / peelings into a giant wooden bucket that you could take from. I once had a durian smoothie here that was nice (they said they use fresh durian). Unfortunately service sucks. You use context clues to get in a line at the end of the store, order with an employee after they're done and look at you, have your order number flashed at you (which you're obligated to memorize as you do not get a receipt or physical number), and then you hover around the front of the store until you're called via your number. My biggest gripe is that they hire non-Viet speaking workers to take your order and expect you to understand them when they butcher the name of the foods. I ordered some cha ca (fish patty since I saw it in the glass container by the front on the counter and pointed it at) and the lady kept saying chacachinchacasong quickly 2-3x. I asked her what do you mean? She repeated it. I said I don't understand what you're saying. She looks to her non-viet speaking coworker, shakes her head, and says "chino" with an attitude. Eventually I come to realize after some pondering that she said "cha cá sóng (raw fish patty)" "cha cá chín (cooked fish patty)". I'd recommend management to remind the ladies to say things slowly if the customer does not understand or say "raw" or "cooked" if they cannot adequately pronounce Vietnamese to their large Vietnamese customer population. I'd also recommend not to insult the target customer in front of them.
