I love Java Loco's other locations so even though I actually entered the parking lot for Starbucks, I redirected and I'm glad that I did. The interior is super cute, with wicker furniture and hanging plants. I love that it's a coffee shop that offers Boba. Their coffee itself is 4/5, but I sort of feel that about Starbucks too. The woman behind the counter was super nice.

Worst ever burnt coffee ( that too early in the morning). The Avocado toast had no avocado on it - a very thin layer of green paste which wasn't tast avocado. They refused the coffee refill/ even after we had bought the refill.

Java Loco seemed very laidback and quiet when I dropped by around 1700 on a Tuesday afternoon. There weren't too many customers so it was fairly quiet. They have several tables and barstools/table inside with optional outside seating as well. It was a really hot afternoon, so the lack of many customers was much wanted! I ordered the Golden Dream fruit tea with light ice (unfortunately, the sweetness couldn't be customized!). I also had a chocolate cigar Danish. I asked if they made their pasties in-house. They informed me they were not, but they are local. I didn't get the name of the bakery though. I quite liked the chocolate Danish. The drink was pretty good, but was just a tad bit too sweet for my taste. I really like the ambiance in there and would not hesitate to go back and try some of their other offerings.

The service was great, Vietnamese coffee was so tasty. Air conditioned, and they had outlets for you to charge your mobile devices which is becoming a luxury because more and more coffee shops in the DMV are not having the electric outlets accessible for people to charge their devices. I usually go to another location, 1st visit here and the service and atmosphere is great just like the other one. Kudos to the owner that owns this shop.

Came here for an after work treat. Ordered the brown sugar milky way with boba. The flavor was great. This location has trendy decor and is clean. Employees were nice. The medium so about 12oz was $7 which I found to be quite high. Otherwise no complaints! Their menu of coffee and boba tea is vast.

First time at this coffee shop we just randomly stopped in. We ordered an Iced mocha, Vietnamese iced coffee and a coffee smoothy. All three were great! It was super cute inside this coffee shop. It would we a great place to hangout with friends or work. They also have a few games you can play. Service was nice and friendly.

Java Loco is a great little café in a very convenient shopping center! They have coffee as well as hot sandwiches and pastries. I tried the hot Vietnamese coffee as well as a the iced version with sea salt foam, both were very good but very sweet. I think I preferred the cold version, especially with the salty foam. The sticky roll/cinnamon bun was great and very sticky, the coffee cake topping was sweet but not overpowering or too dry. The café is cozy with lots of natural light!

I recently came here for the first time and I already love this coffee shop! They have a very diverse selection of drinks from Vietnamese iced coffee to horchata latte to Irish cream latte and much more... and of course, bubble tea! The atmosphere is just so cute and cozy and modern and clean. Very good place to read a book, work, play with your phone or laptop, meet a friend, etc. Only downside is that the drinks are a bit expensive and I did not see a recycling bin inside (just a trash bin), but other than that, all else was great...

Not impress with my bobba drink and the honey bobba was soggy honey bubble tea tasted like a melon.

I got the savory pie that was stuffed with an unctuous gumbo filling made with creole spices, the holy trinity (onions, peppers, and celery), and a generous portion of chicken. The pie pastry had a perfect flaky crumb that held the filling together. A friend had their breakfast sandwich, which had a rustic and delightful tang from the inclusion of sourdough in the biscuit batter that paired well with the thick slab of egg and crispy bacon. Incredibly savory items. I'm always gravitated towards how well a cafe can do a savory menu and this exceed my expectations. Friends I came in with who got their coffee said that it was very delicious, and the baristas can make a beautiful frothy and rich matcha latte. Its both parts technical skills to pull coffee or whisk matcha and sourcing of high-quality ingredients. Drinks make up a large part of any cafe, so to do it well here in this neighborhood cafe is exceptional. The baristas are running that place like a tight ship! Tip well!

It has become the definitive home base for several of my local groups, and for good reason. The "No Agenda - Just Coffee" Crowd Since October 2025, this has been the quarterly meeting point for a group I help organize (2 entire meetings so far!). We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. It's a low-key break from the grind, and the staff handles the morning rush with impressive efficiency. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group. We split up--ruckers head one way, runners another--and we all converge back at the shop by 7:30am. There is nothing quite like hitting the patio after a solid session for coffee, tea, and a high-quality breakfast. The Menu and My Personal "Hack" I've been significantly more health-conscious this year, so I generally keep the order lean. My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.

The bear claw was large and tasty with an enjoyable cinnamon flavor and the lemon meringue croissant was unique and enjoyable as I'd never had a croissant with lemon meringue filing. They weren't cheap but they were tasty and enjoyable. I really wanted to love this place…read more My family and I chose to come here for Easter because it's dog-friendly -- which felt like the perfect combination for us. They even have a dog menu, and the patio setup is honestly beautiful. The ambiance is warm, inviting, and aesthetically on point. The staff greets you right away, and first impressions were genuinely great. We chose to sit outside on the balcony so my puppy could join us, and that space alone is worth noting -- fire pits going, cozy atmosphere, just really well done. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We ordered food for all of us, including my daughter and my puppy. My food and my puppy's food came out fairly quickly, but my daughter's meal never arrived. After waiting quite a while, I had to flag down the waiter, only to be told -- after the fact -- that they didn't even have what she ordered. At no point before that did anyone communicate this. So now she has to reorder, and we're waiting all over again while the rest of us are already eating. When her food finally arrives, there's no silverware. Just... dropped off with no thought to the fact that she actually needed utensils to eat. We also ordered lemonade, which was great -- but when the waiter offered to bring more after the issues, it never came. To try and make up for things, they brought out a dessert that looked beautiful, but when we asked what was in it (due to food sensitivities), the waiter had no idea. He eventually came back with an allergy sheet, which felt like an afterthought rather than informed service. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager. Instead, the waiter told me, "I just got out of trouble -- what can I do to make this right?" That response alone was incredibly off-putting and unprofessional. We ultimately just had my daughter's meal removed from the bill and decided to move on. Even my puppy's waffles -- which was one of the things we were most excited about -- came out slightly burnt. Overall, the lack of communication, poor follow-through, and disorganized service completely overshadowed what could have been a great experience. It's disappointing because the space and concept have so much potential. Unfortunately, I can't overlook the service issues.

But the server was very friendly and was happy to provide input on the menu. But since I wanted to peruse the menu a bit more, I figured the kiosk was the best way to check out other items on the menu besides the sandwich that I knew I wanted. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade and the bulgogi egg sandwich to go. The sandwich was flavorful, the eggs were fluffy, the bread was soft and the sauce brought everything together. I could see why it was one of their best selling items. The hibiscus lemonade was delicious as well, though I'm interested in trying other drinks on the menu such as their smoothies. All in all I would definitely return and probably end up getting the same sandwich.
