The service is good for the size of the place. It is a very small very casual cheap ambiance place that was surprisingly economic for the placement. They seem to really specialize in American Chinese food and we noticed that very little appears to be prepared fresh. The congee was of a consistency that it is likely from a mix rather than fresh. The preserved eggs were of an odd flavor and texture that did not seem to be authentic and the broth was not as flavorful as I have had for congee. The dumplings were all frozen and just steamed. Overall a great place for the money, but not as flavorful or authentic in our experience. I gave only 3 stars as the quality matched the price too closely.

Kung Fu Dim Sum is a no-frills, affordable dim sum establishment located in Fremont. It's inside a small strip mall that has plenty of parking, even on weekends. There is a QR code at every table that you can use to order, with photos and English names available for every dish. No dim sum carts but this ordering method makes trying different dim sum easy for any newbies. For seasoned dim sum consumers, there are all the classics available (dumplings, rice wrapped in lotus leaves, har gow, radish cake) and small dishes such as congee, rice, and noodles as well. When you're ready to check out, they will bring the check to you with the tax and tip already included (nice to not have to think about it). Best to enjoy in small or big groups if you would like to try more things but can also be enjoyed individually as well. I will say the space isn't that large so plan accordingly! Many people also order to go. Service is friendly and fast. I plan to bring friends here the next time I'm craving dim sum!

Woke up not feeling well, so went on doordash to find if there is any places open that has wonton soup. Found this place and was surprised to see that they were open already at 8am! Seen their hours that they open at 7am. I know this area well, and always seen this place but never tried it. Inside is really small and there is a kiosk to order on, but since I ordered on doordash I just came to pick up. I let the guy behind the kiosk know i was there for pick up, and my order was already ready. I ordered the pork won ton soup and it was delicious. I thought maybe they were little bit skimpy with the broth but when i poured it all together it was a good portion. I like that they put buk choy in the soup. The broth was light, could use more flavor. The pork wontons are very good! Looved the texture and flavor! Has a good ginger flavor, and I kept biting something crunchy in it, and realized it was sesame seeds in the filling. They have a huge menu, I need to come back to try their other items. Overall I really enjoyed the soup, and they have good pricing!

Dimsum at 7 am! Today my wife had the crazy idea to get dimsum for breakfast and she told me found a place that was open at 7. I thought the hours were wrong but I went anyway and they were open! 5 stars for having a full Chinese meal menu at 7 am and for their insane schedule. They are open 7am to 9pm every day of the week except for Tuesday. They are closed from 2:30-430. You order via a kiosk so it's nice and organized, the food did take maybe 20 minutes to make but they steam everything to order and I had a diverse mix of stuff so I wasn't worried on the timing. The dimsum was decent quality, my wife likes it better than taipan. It was so good to mix up our breakfast and find a place open early with dimsum! My favorites were the traditional dimsum, cheung fan, har gow, and shumai. They had some interesting spicy and different meat offerings in dimsum I haven't seen before, I'll try them next time. Note that the normal entrance you turn in is under construction and blocked off but you can go around the back or turn in from the entrance/exit on Thornton.

A hole in the wall kind of spot! The front lady/server was really nice and made sure our waters were full the whole time. The menu was extensive for a small place and all the items we've tried so far were delicious. My favorites included porridge, shrimp noodle rolls, lotus leaf wrap, and XLB. I have tried a handful of amount of other dishes and have yet to not like any. Chicken feet is also yummy here if that's something you enjoy!

Affordable and decent variety of menu items but the food was a little on the salty side

We call this heaven. Beef wrapped like a burrito or crepe so delicious and we ate 2 pieces already on the photo lol

Clean delicious and you need to experience the joy of enjoying proper Chinese dim sum at its finest. Portions are delicious and perfect serving. Prices are affordable and we were not expecting to experience a delivery food presented with care and class. We definitely recommend you try it. Thank you Kung Fu dim sum ! Take out was fast and food arrived still hot. Containers used was prepared so clean appealing.

Ordered DoorDash for dinner and it was decent. The order was quick. Didn't love the chicken dumplings. The chicken tasted reheated. Liked the beef siu mai. Loved the shrimp noodle roll. Super chewy. The beef short ribs were good but had barely any meat on it.

Randomly found this spot because we were looking for dim sum and they were open at 7am.... not that we ordered that early, more like 9am but most places around here don't open until 10:30 or later. We put in an online order for take out and was bringing the food to the guests at my parents. Prices are great here in terms of dim sum, it's hard to find similar prices anywhere else you're going to eat a weekend breakfast. We may have over ordered, but it was great, everything was fresh hot and tasty. I may have been a little late from when it said it was ready for pickup. When I got there the owner was concerned and said oh good he was about to call me to make sure I was getting the food (he wasn't concerned about a cancelled order since I already paid, just didn't want my food to go bad or forgotten). We ordered everything from chicken feet to their fancy black/gold lava buns. It is rather small inside so wouldn't opt to bring a large party to dine in, but if you're needing to bring dimsum to a gathering I would definitely come here.

I'm torn, but giving this place 3.5 stars... here's why: Love supporting small mom and pop businesses, and this place brings me back to my childhood. It's your little hole in the wall, no frills, nothing fancy, Oakland China Town vibes (but cleaner) that offers dim sum, rice dishes and noodles. We wanted our dim sum fix and decided to give Kung Fu Dim Sum a try. We were excited to see that they offered most of the items we typically tend to order; har gow, siu mai, fung zao, char sui bao, tripe, etc. Looks like they've moved to a new up to date ordering system; scan the qr code to place your order or visit the digital screen at the front. The lady behind the counter was super sweet and was happy to see us dining inside. We were handed plastic and paper cups for tea and water, mexican music playing in the kitchen, and then we see one of the cooks (husband?) come out to one of the 3 fridges/freezers and grab packs of what it appeared to be frozen dumplings and made his way back to the kitchen. Food came out quick, everything tasted ok... not amazing and I highly doubt they're making things from scratch in the back, but definitely fulfilled my cravings. When I went to pay, I noticed there was an automatic $7 charge on their ordering system. I decided to go in person and pay and she told me the tip was included in the cost. I don't think it was but I think she was making up for this $7 charge. Regardless, it was more affordable than the other dim sum restaurants in the area. Going to come back again soon to try their noodle dishes.

A large selection of dim sum ordered a la carte via their online ordering system and brought to your table for shared consumption with your party. Reasonable prices for a wide variety of items, surely to satisfy your craving without the noise and crowd levels from typical dim sum dining halls. It might make you sing! Everybody was kung fu eating! Placing orders as fast as lightning. In fact, my waistband was tightening As we ordered another set of dumplings. In this inconspicuous strip mall hosting a few shops I've rarely visited or looked for, Kung Fu Dim Sum shines bright in the Yelp searches as a niche dim sum shop serving the tri-city. With dine in and take out options, local patrons frequent this place to share an affordable, filling, and delicious meal fit for any taste preferences. The place isn't too big but small to medium sized parties should have no trouble getting a spot as it isn't too packed with dine in service. When you are seated, they serve you tea and provide a large placard of a menu for you to peruse. Orders can be made online via the QR code available at the table but you may also be able to order directly with the staff. The menu is quite extensive as it includes all the major favorites from dumplings to buns and noodle/rice dishes. We ordered some of our favorites and many of them were great with only a couple missing the mark slightly. Siu Mai - these were delicious and meaty; a favorite of the table! Shrimp noodle rolls - these rolls are loaded with big shrimp and are filling! Glutinous rice in banana leaf - a good mix of protein and rice all encased to keep things piping hot. Tripe - a bit of a kick but texture was a bit lacking for me BBQ pork buns - delicious but I like a fluffier exterior for my pork buns Egg tarts - flaky crust but custard center was a bit cold It's very likely some of the items are pre-made, frozen beforehand, and reheated to fulfill the orders but at the price point, amount/variety of food you get, and speed at which your order is fulfilled, it's a fair trade. Overall, if you're looking for a quick dim sum fix at a decent price and aren't looking to get jammed up with the crowds at other restaurants, this lowkey shop will have you kicking and fist bumping for joy with their wide selection of items. Kung Fu Dim Sum is definitely a hole in a wall due to its location but not for the locals in the know as it's a frequented spot during lunch.

Solid dim sum spot in Fremont! I was craving some dim sum and wanted to try something new and quick. Kung Fu Dim Sum is located in a small plaza and parking was no problem. Inside, there's a handful of tables if you prefer to dine in. When we visited on a weekend late morning, there were a few families having brunch. If you're just doing take out, you can order from their kiosk inside. You can probably order on door dash or online if you prefer not to wait, but there is a small up charge for those online sites. We ordered at the kiosk and waited prob 20 min for our order. I got the Kung fu shrimp dumpling (har gow) and fried shrimp balls. Both were really good. The fried shrimp balls had a stronger shrimp flavor than I've had at other dim sum spots but I liked it still! If I were more local to this area, I could see myself being a regular here.

My daughter came home for vacation and she wanted to have dimsum at our favorite place Saigon Harbor Seafood in Newark, but it's closed indefinitely. We wanted to try a new place and we found this one on Yelp. It's in the place of a Korean restaurant years ago when the kids were little. It's a very small restaurant, the parking is limited in a small shopping center, but on SAT it wasn't crowded so we found a parking spot. It's small, clean, but not airy as the big restaurant. My daughter using the iPhone App and the food came out quite quickly. This is a family owned restaurant so the mom serves for everyone, quite effective. We ordered the usual, xiu mai, beef rice crepe, chicken feet, beancurd wrapped, soup dumplings, fried gyoza, some tripes that my daughter likes. There's no meatballs that my son likes. The chicken feet are up to par with others, very tasty and cooked perfectly. The beef rice crepes are good and soft, the beancurd wrapped has too much cornstarch, sauce is too thick although the taste is there, didn't look good. The soup dumplings are bland, not very delicious as other restaurants. The tripes are good. My son ate all the fried Gyoza and he said it's OK. The xiu mai wasn't full flavored and not fresh. I'm not sure if this is a cantonese restaurant or mandarin. It seems like a mixed one. To me the Cantonese restaurant has the best dim sum. Mandarin or chinese mainland has the best soup dumplings. Anyhow, it's OK for me, but the kids didn't like it much. The prices are very reasonable.

Not sure how this is considered a full order of pork spare ribs

We went on a Friday afternoon and the place was almost full at 12pm, they seem to be short staffed so it took a few minutes to place our order but the food came out really quickly. We ordered a variety of Dim Sum as well as chicken fried rice. The Dim Sum was hot and tasty, you could tell how fresh it was because the individual items were sticking to the wrapper they came in. The buns were flavorful and the skin was not too thick, in fact it was a good as the filing. The presentation is beautiful as well. The rice is a bit expensive at $18:95 but they serve a very large plate of it. They serve tea as well which is $1/person, it's hot and steaming and pairs just right with the food. They also have a variety of packaged items for sale - oranges, dried meat etc. The place is located in large outdoor mall area with plenty of parking but I can see how parking will get difficult during the weekend, especially since it is next to a Japanese grocery store. We were seated at a large round table and others were seated with us as well. You just have to share the space. Its loud and noisy but not obnoxious. Lots of families and locals. We had been waiting for an hour and they were not calling anyone for party of 6. So ridiculous. After waiting for 1.5 hours, we were finally seated and guess what? The table that we were seated at has 7 seats -- I looked at the other tables that were empty and they also had 7 seats -- meaning that at any point when a table for 6 or 7 was available, we, party of 6, could have been seated but she chose not to seat us and have us wait. Once we were seated, everything moved rather quickly. We were given a menu to order -- we ordered and within 10-15 minutes, everything was brought out to us. No wait time for the food, it was very fast. The food was decent but nothing memorable. Overpriced dim sum, overpriced food. As much I love Chinese food, I don't see myself coming back to this location because the wait times are crazy even if you come early. And second, the two women at the front counter are very rude, provided very poor customer service. Very annoyed and disappointing experience, wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Not sure why…read moremy mom picked this place, probably because its really close to her house, but our dining experience was a let down. They only had two people working and there were about 5 tables of diners. These two servers were running around non-stop and you had to flag them down every time. They didn't have time to refill our tea pot so they just left a big jug of hot water at our table to refill it ourselves. The restaurant is large, but feels very old and dated. Some chairs were taller than others, carpet needs to be replaced, its in desperate need of a deep cleaning, refresh and remodel. The food was just OK. Some stuff was overcooked and our fish dish and some of the crab was a little under cooked, while some dishes were swimming in oil. Between 8 adults and 2 kids, we had about 9-10 dishes with lots of leftovers (noodles) to take home. Since my mom picked one of the preset menu options, our bill was over $500 for mediocre Chinese food!!! Let's just say, I have no intention of ever coming back.
