They don't have a lot of varieties of food like Mizumi does. Some of the dishes are really good and some are so so. They do have lots of soup choices. They got some Chinese herbal soup, hot and sour, egg flower and seafood soup (it's really good). They also have 2 Chinese dessert soup (taro with tapioca and white fungus with goji berries). Food wise, my favorite is the frog legs( it's slightly spicy), chicken wings and bacon linguini. The linguini is surprisingly good and even better than some pasta restaurants. They also have about 6 dim sum there but most of them are some kind of buns. There's a noodle station that they can make a bowl of soup noodles for you. Sushi on the other hand they have lots of choices. But I'm so full I couldn't eat any. They also got sashimi. But they cut them so thin and small that affected the texture a bit. Definitely will go back for the linguini.

I seem to remember this being a janky buffet In the 90's but no longer. It's a really nice Asian buffet with an incredible array of food choices like Sushi, variety of soups, dim sum items, hot foods, salad bar, dessert items, etc. i was very impressed with the quality. While the price is steep for lunch, it ended up being my breakfast and lunch! This is not your crappy buffet with wilting unappetizing items. Don't freak out by the signs. They don't like food waste and will charge you for it. Good for them! And, don't stay all day either. Two hour time limit. Move on!

Ask the Community - Kumi Buffet

Do they have lobster or they gone cheap and serve the nasty salty crab legs?

How much is the seafood night now?

    About 20.00 a person

What days are the frog legs out?

I have asked about them since they had them in time past. They do not have them any days and are apparently very hard to find in quantity.

Do they have any birthday specials here?

I don't think so but you can always ask and they might be you a 10% discount. Never hurt to ask !

Do they offer any birthday discounts?

    No.

Is there lobster everyday during dinner? What other seafood is serve on the weekends?

No there is not. There are special seafood nights that feature the complete seafood spread. Otherwise they always have crab legs, crawfish... I can't remember if they were seafood stuff clams or oysters but those are always there, too. So call ahead…

Do kids over 2 pay full price (have a 6yr old)?

    A 2 yo pays $4.25 on the weekend, 5 yo $8.25, 7 yo $11.75 and 11 yo pays $16.25. Seems steep!

I saw this Chinese buffet called Super King Buffet. I've been to other "King Buffets", but this I think I like a common name, so I don't think they're connected. With a buffet everybody gets what they want and keep them all happy, so I'm happy. Plenty of parking here and it wasn't too had to find. We get seated fine and drinks orders taken. This look like a little bigger buffet than some we've been to. Lot of different seafood options for dinner. They even have crawdads. Too much work for too little meat in my opinion, but that's just me. Inside is decently clean and the buffet lines are not all messed up by rude customers like I've seen other places. We all got our fill and were in and out in less than an hour. Price was around $25 per person including a soft drink and a little tip.

The staff provided them with a smile.) Wonderful staffs. We left a good tip for their services. On the other hand, the food was very poor. Yes, there was a great selection, but the quality was generally bad. We were seated at around 11:50 AM on a Friday. They were open for less than an hour, yet the tuna sashimi was dried, turning brown on the edges; the avocado in the roll was mushy; the fried chicken was smelly, as if they were reheated old chicken; the sesame balls were dry and leathery; too many issues with other food as well. The only reason I gave two stars is the great staff.

It was $33 for 6 pieces of ribs, which is average price for à la carte but meat quality should be better than ayce selections. The pork belly was just normal but the tangsooyuk was not good at all. The bulgogi (regular and spicy) and garlic pork belly are my favorite meats to order. The ambiance is great. The wait to get seated can often be long, but it's worth it. Service has always been friendly, although on a few occasions it's been quite slow. They typically have K-pop playing with music videos on the tv which is fun. It's a bit pricey, but with it being all-you-can-eat it makes it worth it. Just make sure you come hungry! It is possible to order al a carte though so you don't have to get the all-you-can-eat option. I recommend!

I love the ambiance of the raised booth section -- the lighting is perfect for relaxed dining. We arrived at the end of the lunch rush, so it did take a bit to get our orders placed (understandably); but our server was on point the rest of the meal. She even comp'ed my delicious apple crisp dessert, since we were there celebrating my birthday. :-) For this visit, we started with the Spicy Blackened Ahi tuna appetizer, which was excellent. The peppery exterior of the tuna was seared quickly, leaving a bright red, velvety, interior -- it was like butter! The spicy aioli was also a nice accompaniment, as were the lightly pickled cucumbers, carrots, etc. Highly recommended! For my entree, I ordered off the lunch menu, and went with the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries; which was exactly what I wanted. The buttermilk batter was crispy and nicely seasoned, and the brioche bun was up to the task of holding it all together. The fries were great, as well; lightly crisp on the outside, and fluffy on the inside -- and you could actually taste the potatoes! Thank you, Stanford's; for NOT following the trend of using the vastly inferior "battered" fries that so many restaurants use now! One special mention -- I didn't order the Steelhead Chowder with my meal, but my wife let me have a few spoonfuls of hers, and it was absolutely amazing! It was thick and creamy, yet not at all pasty; with nice chunks of steelhead. I loved the layers of flavor, too; the flavor of the steelhead was up front, and then it finished with this wonderful buttery note that made you want to come back for more. Yum! The aforementioned Apple Crisp was also wonderful, but I could only eat half of it. The apples were cooked just enough, but still had a little crunch, which I loved. It was served in a small cast iron skillet, with caramel sauce and lots of yummy crispy bits. So good. This is my "go to" restaurant in the Clackamas area if I want a dining experience that is a bit of a cut above. My wife and I have even stopped in for appetizers and drinks when we had time to kill, just because the atmosphere is so inviting.

The restaurant became busy a few minutes after we came in, but he handled the rush perfectly. The food didn't take long and my only complaint is honestly, I wish the cornbread was served warm.
