Wow great spot. Clean and cute inside. Service is very friendly. Have been twice now and both were phenomenal. Got the chicken and beef combo, it's quick but not too quick, you can tell it's fresh! The beef is sticky, sweet, and not dry. Need to come back more often! read more

Truly one of most adorable spots in the area you've passed by a hundred times. Located near the Clackamas Target, with a nice view of the sunset and the walkway that connects the Promenade's front and back lot. Has lots of seating and there are lots of potted plants, succulents and terrariums to have a staring contest with and an interactive horticultural retail display front and center. The service was very considerate, not the fastest, but certainly memorable. I was only picking up food for a friend so I can't comment on it but the whole place smelled sooo yummy while several orders were being grilled. The Gatorade from the cooler was a 10/10 though and I will return someday soon for lunch or dinner I hope! read more

This place was a wonderful surprise, my first time visiting. Absolutely delicious! I placed an order to go for two Teriyaki Chicken meals. It came with 2 scoops of rice, tempura prawns, egg roll, spring roll, salad, and miso soup. It was a lot of food; we probably could have split a meal. Teriyaki chicken was flavorful with a decent amount of sauce and extra sauce included. Staff was friendly and helpful. The place was nice and clean inside. It's located in Clackamas Promenade close to Target. read more

This popped up in my search and TBH, teriyaki is not my go to thing when I travel but it sounded good. I was not disappointed. Tuesday night was slow so I ordered right away and the food came out pretty quick. Not quick like it was sitting there, more like they made it right when I ordered. The overall vibe is interesting. Lots of indoor plants. 7/7 - would definitely recommend read more

Usually get the chicken & rice bowl for ~$11 which is enough to satisfy me. Went out of my comfort and got the Katsu Chicken. What an absolute rip off for $16. Half my to-go box was rice and vegetables. You get less than half the amount of chicken than when ordering a chicken bowl. Mac Salad was not too great either. Shouldnt be able to see "dry" pasta in a mac salad. I do NOT recommend the Katsu Chicken. read more

Yummy!!! I ordered stir fry veggies with chicken. Large portion, lots of good veggies, not just cabbage.

Menu has plenty of selection to choose from all at reasonably priced options. The quantity and quality of food is great and the staff there is super friendly. While you wait for your order you can browse the different plants they have in the restaurant that are for sale. Their Thai Tea is chefs kiss!! read more

Food was great... we had shrimp and steak , chicken and steak, and the steak plates. Great flavors. The only thing I could not pick at was the side salad dressing had too much pepper. Other than that the food was great!!!! Definitely going back. read more

I wanted yakisoba, he wanted teriyaki. That's how we came across this place. The menu looked good, the prices right, and it wasn't far for delivery, plus they had a deal on gyoza. When it arrived the portions were big and it all tasted so good. He didn't realize when he ordered that he got a little salad with his and it made him very happy (especially since he wasn't getting veggies like I was). The mac salad is a little different. Was like someone adding a bit of coleslaw to the mac, which gave it a different flavor than I've had before. Personally I liked it, but it was a little sweeter than say Hawaiian style. We enjoyed it very much. read more

Service is wonderful but the food is even better. So tasty and a great value. I have known about this restaurant for about 6 weeks and have eaten there 4 times. Absolutely delicious. Don't be afraid of asking for extra sauces, they are not stingy with their sauce. If you try this restaurant you will not be sorry. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find out they're serving poke bowls now! The selection isn't huge but it's just what I needed! We also ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box and it was so much food we were able to feed the whole family with this meal. The restaurant also sells lots of beautiful plants which will greet you as soon as you walk in. The service is fast and friendly, definitely my go to for lunch now! read more

Today was my first visit to this location. I ordered a dish I usually order from the Joy Teriyaki in Happy Valley (Tofu/veggie bowl). World of different. The Happy Valley location dish is so much better. The veggies at the Clackamas location were mushy, the tofu had little flavor, and I was so disappointed. Choose the Happy Valley location. I'm sorry to say this - really - but I believe the cook at Happy Valley just has more experience or perhaps s/he is a professionally trained cook. read more

We have ordered the same dinner weekly, for nearly a year now; Shrimp fried rice and orange chicken with brown rice and pot-stickers. The last two times, prior to this evening, the chicken was super dry and almost the same texture as beef jerky. Not good! Not good at all! So, we decided to give it one last chance as it has been a go-to for sometime now. By far the worst meal yet! The shrimp was so dried out it was nearly as tough as the chicken, which was horrendously disgusting and inedible. The entire meal was thrown out and this will be our last order, for sure! Beyond disappointed! If you are going to eat at this restaurant, I would absolutely advise against ordering take out as to allow for an exchange of items. Literally the worst "teriyaki" meal I have ever had, by far! read more

I was in town for the weekend and staying in a nearby hotel. Teriyaki sounded good and I was not disappointed - it was hot, came with a side of extra sauce and was plenty of food to fill me up. My order was ready when I arrived and this location had the added benefit of a boba shop nearby (I always enjoy the 2 together). read more

Always a warm welcome from staff members and delicious food! I normally get the chicken breast plate and it's a large amount :)

The cutest little teriyaki shop! The man at the counter gave a warm welcome and was very kind to everyone that came in, especially kids. It was very sweet. The teriyaki chicken breast was delicious, probably the best I have ever had and was a very large portion. I would say you could split between two and still feel full. So good! read more

Wanted some teriyaki chicken for lunch and this spot was right there. Wife came and had beef yakisoba, The chicken was by far superior in taste. Something about the yakisoba was off and it tasted weird. Service was pretty quick and the food was hot and fresh so that's a bonus. The interior was cluttered and seemed unorganized, The fountain drink machine was not working which was lame AF since I wanted some soda. While it wasn't horrible I'll look elsewhere next time, seemed like it was overpriced as well. $33 for lunch. Good day read more

It's a different vibe when you enter the place, it's a plant shop/restaurant. The food honestly was pretty good, the Katsu chicken curry was almost a 2 meals in one, the chicken was moist and tasty but it lacks side items, it came only with rice. They don't have a Mac salad or other sides to elevate the dish. It's a good to go place to order for sure. read more

Quick, good quality, no overly sweet, over all quite good. It was good but not great.

I was working in the area for a month, and I decided to try this place out on my lunch break. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! The portion is big and the price is cheap! Everything was made fresh to order too. On top of it all, the owner was so friendly and nice. He remembered me after going there one time. I kept going back throughout my time there and told him that I'll definitely come back in the future if I'm in the area. I've tried their bulgogi, curry chicken katsu, bulgulgi veggie bowl, and bulgulgi fries. They're all so goood!!! Hands on 10/10 recommend!!! Stop reading now and go already! read more

Joy always has good food. I ordered the chicken with vegetables. It's a great value. One meal can feed two. Would recommend to everyone.

For the low price of only twelve bucks, you can enjoy enough chicken teriyaki with rice and vegetables to last you two meals. It's delicious, and insanely economical. A nice, friendly family run business that recently started to double as a plant store. Big on taste and also smiles here! The mom, the dad and the son all work here. I bought a very unique indoor cactus for $14. Also try the Katsu here or the yakisoba. I am very partial to the yakisoba!! The plants add a lot to the unique ambiance- and they are all so healthy! read more

I love this shop! The plants are so cute, the food is good and the vibe is chill. Our favorites are the teriyaki beef and Katsu chicken! The only thing that could make it better is maybe Mac salad or another side instead of just rice, but it doesn't make a big difference! read more

Joy Teriyaki is always dependable for a good meal. I've eaten at several other Joy Teriyaki locations but this was the first time I had gone to the one at Clackamas Promenade. I ordered Chicken Breast Teriyaki and I didn't have to wait very long for my food to be ready. They are so efficient there...the place runs like a well-oiled machine. The chicken was nicely charred with "serious grill marks" just the way I like it. The teriyaki sauce had a good consistency...it was thick enough to stay on the meat (meaning it wasn't thin and watery). The accompanying salad was just iceberg lettuce...but at least it was chilled and crisp (meaning it wasn't warm and limp with brown spots). Anyway, I was pleased with my meal. Joy Teriyaki never disappoints. read more

I ordered fried rice with no veggies, I got fried rice with veggies but not just any veggies really nasty rubbery vegetables like they've been frozen and reheated multiple times... nothing in the fried rice really looks fried especially not the rice. I walked in and was greeted fairly rudely after an already long day at work. I'm not going to be going back anytime soon. The rice isn't even fully cooked. And the pork is cold. I'm very not happy about this. read more

The atmosphere is very pleasant, but the chicken katsu tasted like Dino chicken nuggets from the freezer section, the Mac salad was the worst I've ever had, the teriyaki sauce had the consistency of water and it was all overpriced. This place is excellent. The chicken teriyaki and also the mongolian chicken are both great. The plants in the restaurant make it very relaxing to dine in for lunch.
