This was $100 with the sashimi plate being $60. Not worth it given the quality and amount of food.

Fried Soft Shell Crab

I came here on a chilly day for brunch with my boyfriend and it was great. The inside of the restaurant has quite a bit of seating, but my boyfriend and I sat at the bar. Service was polite and quick. We ordered the tempura udon, fried soft shell crab, a variety of nigiri, and a salmon skin handroll. The tempura udon was good. The udon was light and noodles were delicious, but the tempura was a bit underwhelming and not as crispy as I would normally like it. The fried soft shell crab was also pretty good and the sauce complimented it well. Overall, for the variety of nigiri we ordered, they were not bad. You could tell the cuts of the sashimi weren't from a trained sushi chef, but that's a really minor thing when it comes to taste (the cuts were in the thinner side, and uneven). The quality of the fish itself was also pretty average. And, the last thing we ordered was the salmon skin handroll (which was a special item listed on their wall), and it was also pretty good. Overall, the spot has a good variety, for a good price and the quality is pretty standard for a casual sushi spot.

These types of sushi places are very popular in suburban areas: bright colors, sauce heavy, and creative names and concoctions. Probably not a favorite of Japanese purists, but I'm not one. After a very looooong wait (with only one other customer in the dining area), there was some payoff. First, the plum wine was delicious, but the pour very small. The Tempura Udon was very good, decent value, but only one piece of shrimp. The Denver roll was satisfyingly ample. The Sashimi Market bowl was an ice and radish show. Service was friendly. They offer 10% when paying cash, in others words, a 10% surcharge for plastic. It felt a little "nickel and dime", I can see why some reviewers felt cheated. I'd go back, but not when it's busy.

Hate to say it but this place was a let down. I had called ahead of time to make a reservation but was informed that they don't take them on the weekends. So we arrived around 6 pm on a Friday night and it somewhat busy. My friend actually got there a few minutes before us and managed to snag a table. We ordered several rolls - they were very mediocre and small like the size of conveyer belt sushi. Not only that but it took over an hour for our order to come out and it was never acknowledged how long we've been waiting. Our waitress did not bother checking up on us at all or refilling our waters. Service was definitely lacking. We also only got 6 out of the 7 rolls that we ordered and was charged for an extra beer on our bill. Be aware that they apply an automatic 18% gratuity for groups of 4 or more. Not impressed.

This spot never fails to delight. Their sake selection is excellent, but their specials really shine if you're a sushi aficionado. From Kobe beef to Japanese uni, Hokkaido scallops to Ora King Salmon, Bluefin to perfectly prepared Otoro... Fresh and delicious ingredients treated with respect are the hallmark of this izakaya-style restaurant. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Parking can be challenging, so be aware if you're having trouble finding it!

Best sushi anywhere we've been. We come every time we're in town. Love every order we ever get. Not usually a fan of spicy tuna but Nori's is amazing and not too spicy, just great flavor. Friendly staff, nice & clean restaurant (bathroom clean too) and food is good anytime we order takeout also.

love the rice here, nice and warm atmosphere, good sushi's . I would recommend the Yummy sushi, they also cater sushi for party too

Every time we come here it is amazing! It is the only sushi place that we go to in. Happy Valley! The chef is truly an artist and the food is fresh and delicious.

No outdoor seating, limited indoor or take out only. They did have quiet a bit of options but more expensive than most places I've been too. Tasted fresh- got calamari and wasn't impressed with the portion size or the style it was prepared

Rainbow Roll

Great service right away. I debated using online services for this but decided to just drive up, get inside and order. I was a bit puzzled that I had to use the sushi order paper when what I wanted wasn't on there, but we worked it out. Ordered rainbow roll and gyoza to go. Pleased with the food! They offered to take it out to my car when ready, and I accepted that.

Fish quality was not great. Also, not great customer service, it was fine, but not worth the $100. I was expecting more. Sorry

Love the Vegas roll. My wife and I don't eat a lot of sushi, but when we do this is where we go.

"Let me know if you have any questions!". We had questions about her menu items, and she answered them nicely and thoroughly, in detail. Okay, so we order two things: the S3 and the Spicy Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen, and here's what U think about each: Tonkotsu Ramen: -The Meat doesn't have a huge initial, impactful taste, but the flavor settles in a couple seconds after you bite it and it's a very soft, warming feeling. -The Broth is where the spice is, and it's not like "oh my mouth is on fire" it's the type of spice that hits you in the back of the throat, so it's bearable but I couldn't chug it personally, I had to take sips which is nice for someone who devours their food like there's no tomorrow (like me). -The Noodles are.. just your typical Ramen noodles, nothing special to add there but nothing bad to say at all! -The Egg, although not marinated in soy sauce like some places do, was cooked well. The inside was soft and gooey, but the white was fully cooked. I have no complaints! -The Mushrooms added a nice texture to the noodles and the overall dish, and worked to make it even more satisfactory. The S3: -I don't have much to say because my cousin ordered it and I only had a few bites, but the veggies were cooked nicely... -The big boom about it was the noodles. If I had to describe it, I would say it's like.. an Orange Chicken type of Tater Tot, it was really unique and fun to eat. Next time I go, it'll be hard to decide what to order.. Okay, don't just take my word for it, go see for yourself! いただきます!

The broth had the perfect kick without overpowering the depth of the ramen, and everything came out hot and fresh. Parking was easy, food cart was easy to find! First off, this place is kind of unassuming, but what I've found is that unassuming places usually have the best food at the best prices. It's in a strip mall/shopping complex, with parking out front and a bunch of different restaurants in the complex. The restaurant is narrow, but really deep. You actually sit at booths that line the kitchen, and you can hear the chefs cooking. I'll admit, I was a bit nervous about the recipe that they were going to use for the dipping noodles. I've never heard of "bonito dashi" and had to look it up. (And yeah, I know that trip to Japan really served my Japanese skills well.) I'll admit I'm not a super big fan of seafood or fish, so I told the server if it was possible to avoid the bonito in my order. The server was beyond polite and accommodating, and after a quick conversation, we decided I'd probably like the broth from the black garlic tonkatsu. She went the extra mile and served the black garlic sauce on the side as a just in case. After a quick taste test, I dumped all that black garlic into my broth! And the noodles were unbelievable - it definitely wasn't the same dish that I had in Japan, where the noodles were served cold and with a tiny dish of dipping sauce. This was a full-sized bowl of noodles with a full-sized bowl of broth. You took noodles from one bowl, dipped them fully in the broth, and ate them. My friend got the Umami bowl. The chicken karaage in it looked delicious! Hands down, I will be coming here again when I'm next in the area!

I am in complete shock right now. Where do I begin?…read moreI came in on Monday for the first time. I was super excited to try somewhere new that we might be able to frequent regularly. We ordered chicken wings, potstickers, chicken lo mein, and shrimp fried rice. We picked up the food and when we got home we noticed that the food was very bland, as well as no accompanying sauces. We went back out to the store and got soy sauce & sriracha. We came home to cold food, but nonetheless we ate. My partner wanted to give a bad review but I asked him to delete it, to give the benefit of the doubt. Welp that's when the trouble began! Starting around 11p until the next day all our stomachs were torn up badly. We did not sleep well at all due to this. When the restaurant opened I called to speak with someone about it. The google phone number was incorrect so I had to do some digging to find a working number. After 3 tries, a gentleman picked up but said he could not help and someone would call me back later that day (Tuesday). No one did. Bowie, the store manager just called me 2 days later. She refused to give me a refund because I was the first call she has had about a bad experience. She said if I was really sick, then I should've gone to the hospital. When I asked for a refund, she laughed at me and said I can call my bank and stop payment. I am horrified by this experience. Patrons Beware
