This location's rice is more plump and it soaked the teriyaki sauce well--very underrated aspect of their teriyaki chicken. Salad and Gyoza were solid too. Overall, pretty good quality meal with great value for the amount of food. Food comes out mad quick and service was great. I did notice regulars were on a first-name basis with FOH so it's a good sign folks frequent this joint. Ever since Roxy's Grill opened up in Happy Valley I've been going there once every few weeks for the past few years. For as much as i love Roxy's food, I couldn't handle the constant mistakes, and the waits. I swore to never return to the HV Roxy's again when I informed them that my order was incorrect and they blamed me for not checking the cash register to ensure order accuracy and was not receptive to fixing that problem for me. I'm glad I made that decision not to return to Roxy's as it forced me to discover Soy Grill as it's replacement. I love the food here and I love how fast the food is here despite being made to order. The absolute best teriyaki joint I've ever been to. I used to live nearby and after moving 3 hours away, I still think of it. It has become a must that I stop there anytime I pass through of visit the area. If they gave out Michelin stars for teriyaki lunch joints, this place would have one. They are amazingly consistent, which is one of the most difficult things to do with food service. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The sauce that they put on the spicy chicken is so good, that we buy quart squeeze bottles of it when we visit so that we can replicate the flavor at home. As a bonus, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly and service is always fast. If every teriyaki place was as good as this one, I'd eat teriyaki more than I should. Love this place! read more
