Oregon Sushi Roll

The service is family owned, and this is a local's hidden gem. The fish is so fresh, melts in my mouth like butter. The ambience is classy yet casual. This is the best sushi spot I've found in town so far!

Came here thinking it was Motto Motto - Revolving Sushi Bar but decided to sit down and try this place anyways. Service was polite and the restaurant was fairly tidy and inviting. The tempura appetizer was pretty good except for the sweet potato. It was a bit undercooked and crunchy. For the price and amount, I thought it was not worth the value. The nigiris had thin yet long cuts of fish. Decent fish freshness and quality but also quite pricey for the nigiri. The house special roll was also decent but the nori they used to make the roll was a little tough and chewy. All the food came at a slow pace even though there was only one group of 2 people at the restaurant when we arrived. More groups started coming in after we ordered but still felt like there was a delay in getting the orders out.

For conveyor belt sushi this is pretty good. A little bit more on the pricier side but good quality sushi. There's many options to choose from the conveyer belt or you can order what you want from their menu. Once you make an order a little train delivers the order directly to you. I got a bunch of things but I really enjoyed their takoyaki, it was piping hot. The unagi and seared salmon was good as well as other rolls they had. Overall good experience here and will be back when I was done sushi

I hate to give bad reviews during Covid.. people are trying to make a living and I want you to give it a try.. Here's what I see Hard rice, tastes like sushi I would get from Safeway/Kroger just to get by Fish not super fresh.. more like conveyor belt quality Rolls were dull and boring Crab mix inside the California roll base not super creamy Service decent Just had water only Restroom was at least clean 2 stars Not for me, but may be for somebody else.. go try for yourself

Large sashimi plate

Friendly staff and very clean. Appreciate a sit down establishment with a sushi bar and not "conveyer belt" sushi, which seems to frequent Portland. My favorite was the agedashi tofu, which I try at every Jap restaurant as a staple and they make it right here. These are the pluses for me here. The downsides: it's way too quiet inside and the commercial space echoes all the noises. Suggest they play music? My biggest complaint is the fish. We ordered the large sashimi plate and most of the fish had the previously frozen taste. It also wasn't cut correctly. There's an art to cutting fish and even on a separate tataki plate we ordered, the slices appeared ripped not cut. Really didn't like the siracha on the tataki fish plate.

Really friendly staff that accommodated my keto diet. I was able to substitute miso soup for sugary salad. They were great!

Good sushi, miso soup and service. Enjoy the friendly staff. We had a large take out sushi order for a party. Ordering and pickup was easy.

According to the sign in the door, the restaurant is short of staff. The hours are limited, but when you get in, you are in for a treat

Went here last week and was disappointed. We specifically chose this restaurant because of the…read morehighlights about hand pulled noodles. Anyone looking for hand-pulled noodles: as of May 2025, you will not find them here. They apparently stopped serving them. May return for: Beef In Chili Sauce (cold) - I love this dish and have had it at many other places. Chili oil was delicious; onions and cilantro went well with the thin slices of beef. Would not return for: anything else. Taiwan Beef Brisket Tomato Noodle soup - it was bland broth, unfortunately. Uncooked spinach and tomatoes added on top, very little flavor. Brisket was not very soft. Mongolian Beef Chow Mein - there was a puddle of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, which I would not expect for chow mein. Definitely not cooked in a wok (or done very poorly). Handmade spicy pork wontons - also not flavorful. If they used the chili oil on the Beef in Chili dish, this might taste better. But the filling would something to be desired.

We came to this place for lunch based on Yelp's recommendations. The restaurant was easy to find…read moreat the entrance of a strip mall. It was busy on Friday for lunch. We were greeted right away by the staffs. We ordered spicy wonton, pork belly noodles, tomato brisket noodles and Lanzhou noodles. The portions were generous. The pork belly was marinated with great flavor however the soup was bland. The Lanzhou noodle was spicy and had stronger flavor broth. One of my boys liked the tomato beef noodle and finished the bowl with lightning speed. This is a good spot for a quick noodle meal.

Five stars, and this one's an honorable mention that somehow turned into a regular habit…read more I'm talking about K-Pop at the Happy Valley food carts, and yeah, there's a reason we keep circling back like it owes us money. You ever go somewhere thinking you'll just grab a quick bite, and next thing you know you're planning your return before you've even finished chewing? That's this place. What I like is they don't box themselves in. You've got Korean, Hawaiian, and a little mix of everything going on. I lean Hawaiian most days, something about it just hits right, especially when you're not trying to go all in. Sometimes you're just grabbing food, maybe bringing something back for later, pacing yourself like a responsible adult. This is that kind of spot. It works with you, not against you. And here's the thing, I used to write those safe reviews. "It's cute. Nice service." That tells nobody anything. That's background noise. This place deserves better than that. This is a spot you actually remember. Friendly people, solid food, and a consistency that turns a casual stop into a routine. Happy Valley's already a great area, so you're starting off on the right foot just being there. But if you're walking into that food cart pod and wondering where to go, I'm telling you straight up, this is one of the top choices. No overthinking it. Take my word for it, or don't. Either way, you'll end up here eventually.

This has become my favorite cart in the Happy Valley pod. The menu is an interesting mix of Korean,…read moreJapanese, and Hawaiian, which is nice to be able to mix it up each visit. My go-tos are the Shoyu or Teriyaki chicken plates, the Kalua Pork Plate, or the Bibimbap. My only do-betters are that the teriyaki chicken can sometimes be dry, and I wish both the chicken dishes came with a sauce. They do have sriracha packets if you ask. The plates come with rice, a small lettuce salad and dressing (could use a little more of that sometimes), and a mac salad with pretty simple black pepper seasoning. It's a good amount of food for the price. I also really appreciate, and choose to visit K-Bop, because they use the compostable clamshell containers, and not the wasteful single-use plastic like so many others. Recommended if you're stopping by his cart pod.
