Baby it's cold outside. With winter near, warm yourself with a bowl of ramen from Suki Ramen. This food cart is located in Cartlandia which has ample parking. The ramen is heartwarming and flavorful. You have several options for additional toppings. Feel free to go all out and add enoki mushrooms, an extra egg, kimchi, pork, or corn. They also have rice bowls if you want to change it up. The owner/chef is friendly and greeted me with a smile. Shop local and support this small business!

I ordered shoyu base with medium spicy, noodle was cooked perfectly , we got a lot of noodle, boil egg was cooked perfectly with running yolk inside, three thick of pieces of pork and tender. The lady was very friendly and good service. It was good for cold day.

I could not believe the level of quality ramen that Tao is serving out his food cart. I stumbled across Cartlandia cause I was down the street at Best Buy. Decided to grab some lunch and out of all the carts. I choose Miss. Ordered the classic Miso with some mushrooms. After a few minutes, I got my food. First I was surprised of how big the bowl was. This was a huge bowl of ramen. The pork and broth quality of this ramen definitely compares and even surpasses quality some restaurants have. Overall: This place is worth a try for sure.

Good ramen spot around SE Portland. Quick friendly service located at cartlandia. The noodles were average. The broth was pretty good, great amount of saltiness to it. The meat was a little too chewy for me. The egg could have more soy flavor to it. Overall it was a big portion size for only 10$. It wasn't bad and would be a spot if I needed ramen in the area.

Was in the area and it was cold so I decided to get some ramen. It doesn't disappoint but I should have gotten it spicier to really give me a kick. Loved the food and I will be back just for the ramen. I would recommend this place for sure yum yum!!!

Prepped by owner. Spicy miso ramen with corn added. $1 extra.

This is my go to spot for ramen. I literally had it twice this week. The way it is made by owner vs employee is very different. I meant that in a sincere way that the owner cares how his customer wants their food cooked. I asked for extra seaweed and he topped it off and I asked for his opinion about adding braised pork $2 extra. He gave me honest opinion that the broth is creamier today so if I added braised pork it would be too "heavy". I liked that he was honest and I appreciate the chefs opinion anytime. The price is reasonable and good portion size for lunch and wait time is not long at all (2-5 mins). Many options to choose from for add ons and while some places charge for the half soft broiled egg, this comes with it. I've had many ramen shops and restaurants and honestly this food cart place is pretty authentic. Though the cha siu (sliced pork) isn't charred/flame grilled like some places offers: the texture and taste of broth, the noodle, the temperature of broth was hot and that is very important when having soup based noodle dishes for me (yes, even in summer time!). The arrangement of the garnishment and the cut of cha siu very tender and perfect. Would dine here again anytime! Only con for one star minus is parking, it is part of Cantlandia where all the food carts are located in a crammed and small lot so parking is not great.

Two friends and I were visiting Portland in October 2019 for a few days, and decided to spend most of our Thursday eating. We had been to the Portland Mercado right before coming here, and in an effort to drum up our appetite, walked the 2 miles from there to Cartlandia. My friends and I were in the mood for something warm and comforting; the weather was nice enough, but given the time of year it was pretty chilly. Cartlandia was pretty empty when we arrived around 2:30 PM, although many food carts were around and operating. We did a quick tour and Mizu Ramen looked super appealing, both based on the menu and a quick internet search. My friends and I ordered 1 bowl of miso ramen (plus half an egg, extra charge) to split. The ramen came out in a reasonable amount of time and was nicely presented, with a generous amount of meat and toppings. After settling at a nearby table and snapping pictures, we split the ramen. The broth was so, so flavorful and absolutely delicious, while the meat was very tender. None of us were super hungry given we'd already spent most of the day eating, but this ramen was so delicious that we finished it off pretty quickly. I can only imagine how amazing it would've been if I'd come on an empty stomach. I would definitely return if I'm ever back in the area; I'd love to come back hungry and get my own bowl and be able to customize my own toppings (the menu had bamboo shoots, which I love, but I couldn't convince my friends to add them). I appreciated the bowls weren't plastic; you bus them when you're done. This cart only accepts cash, so come prepared!

Really surprised to find a ramen truck in the plethora of 82nd food carts but huzzah! Now having been to Japan and eaten Japan's many amassed variety of ramen, I'll be honest, I didn't set my expectations high. I got the regular $9 miso ramen with medium spice. Pros: Wait time is short. Broth was rich and flavorful, not too salty and you could taste the time spent into it. Wasn't swimming in grease either so the cook did a great job skimming the fat! I like. There is a handful of large servings of thick cut pork that has been slow cooked. (Thank you for this, I'm tired of one measly thin slice of meat at standard ramen places.) A good amount of toppings, bowl came with half boiled egg which was ok. I liked the added sprinkle of spinach it made me feel healthier, the bountiful amounts of bamboo shoots (Which were cooked perfectly) and lots of chopped green onion and nori. You get a lot for $9.00 Cons: Everything about this bowl of ramen was on point except for one thing; the noodles. They are your basic egg base squiggly Chinese noodles (with a small amount of alkaline) but are too thick and do not soak up the broth (meaning they don't carry the broths flavor on them, you can't taste the broth when you eat the noodles) and lack elasticity. To be frank, they were stiff. Just to clarify, yes they were cooked and heated all the way through but being honest, that type of noodle belongs more in a stir fry. It makes this bowl of ramen lack a OMG factor. I feel for Miso Ramen or any heavier broth based ramen if just the noodle aspect is changed this bowl of ramen will be S status. People who have never had real ramen won't notice this but for people who have or want a true experience it's the best thing when everything is in harmony! I'm looking forward to trying this place again if the noodles are changed to something with more elasticity and thinner consistency (width). Until then I'll stick with other ramen places like Marukin and Ryoma Ramen.

Got the spicy miso ramen Taste: not as spicy as what it should be, so if you like SPICE, then ask for extra on the side. It was a bit more oily which made me not want to finish it. Broth didn't have that depth of flavor I was looking forward to. However the portions were large with lots of toppings on it. The egg was the best part, it was runny and cooked to perfection. Price: $10 WITH the egg. I appreciated that they don't charge you for the egg, some places charge you $1-2 just to add it on.

My new obsession with Ramen had to include this glorious cart. My love affair with Ryoma Ramen in Beaverton is still running hot and I'm not sure I'll ever find a love to outbid it. However, Mizu was awesome. A solid contender for me. They build their bowl a bit differently, and it was beautiful (really the most beautifully put together Ramen I've seen, stunning even). The pork was tender but still meaty, not quite melt in your mouth. I liked the Miso broth but it lacked the deep flavor Ryoma serves up. You can choose mild, medium or hot off of the basic Ramen menu. Nothing complicated. The eggs are very soft and cream up the broth well. They offer spinach which was good even though I prefer nori. Prices start at $9.00. Being a food cart among many makes the experience pretty cool. You don't want to leave without grabbing something from Voodoo Donuts at least. The environment is super casual and perfectly Portland. Definitely try Mizu to add to your Ramen list. That perfect bowl is waiting for you somewhere and it could very well be here.

The soup was good and the pork slices were soft. But the noodles were hard and had a strong egg smell.

While a few things stood out, the meal as a whole didn't quite hit the high marks I was hoping for. Here is how it broke down: The Starters (The Highlight): Karaage (Fried Chicken): This was easily the best part of the meal. The pieces were large, juicy, and had a great, ultra-crispy crunch on the outside. Takoyaki: Decent texture and well-presented on a long plate with plenty of bonito flakes, making it a solid appetizer to share. The Mains (A Bit Average): Spicy Ramen: The noodles had a good chew, but the broth lacked the deep, rich complexity you expect from a really stellar ramen. Even with the spicy paste mixed in, the flavor profile felt a bit flat. Chashu Don (Rice Bowl): While it was a generous portion packed with chopped chashu and minced meat, it ended up tasting a bit monotone after a few bites and could have used more balance or a punchier sauce. Overall, it's a fine spot if you want a quick, filling meal, but the flavors didn't quite wow me enough to make it a standout. Solid, but nothing mind-blowing.
