Chicken teriyaki

Located in the Flipside food carts. The service was great. If you've ever been in The Flipside it is a nice place to enjoy your food out of the weather. On to the food. I got the grilled chicken bahn mi and it was delicious! The bread was perfect, the meat was flavorful and the veggies were fresh! It was definitely in my top rankings for bahn mi if not the best I've ever had! 9.8 out of 10. I had some egg rolls too and they were the best in the top rankings for me as well for egg rolls. 9.8 out of 10. I tried a bite of the pork bahn mi and it was amazing. You must try this cart! Happy eats!

I cannot think of a single thing that would have improved my luncheon experience…read more I was greeted immediately and invited to sit anywhere I ordered a $15 lunch special: Sichuan Crispy Fish that came with a mound of steamed rice and an exquisite spring roll -- crispy and packed with flavor My best decision was to upgrade for $2 for a cup of the best hot and sour soup EVER Please overlook the neighborhood and take a shot at some genuine Sichuan food Note --the crispy fish was really spicy, so don't ask for more spice The portion was so generous that I would have hade the leftover boxed, but I was staying at a hotel, so sadly had to say goodbye to at least a third if not a half of what they served me Also there were only two other tables occupied when I got there at opening time (11:00am) but it was clear they also do a brisk take out business If you want the real deal in great Chinese food, don't pass this one up if you are in downtown!

Highly recommend! The Twice Cooked Pork is a must-order! Tender slices of pork, plenty of leek, and a subtle fermented soybean flavor. The Chili Oil Pork Wontons were another favorite. The bright vinegar and chili oil sauce is flavorful and not spicy, and the pork filling is tender and well-seasoned. The Dan Dan Noodles had that classic Sichuan flavor with a light sauce that coated the noodles well. The noodles were a little softer than I prefer, and I wish there were a few more toppings, but I'd still order them again.

I've had Xin Ding Dumpling House bookmarked for over a year, so I was excited to finally cross it…read moreoff my list while visiting family. Since we had our dog with us, we ordered everything to go and enjoyed it back at our hotel just down the street. Just a heads up if you're planning the same, there wasn't any outdoor dining available. Being from the SF Bay Area, one of the first things we looked for was Har Gow and Siu Mai, but they weren't labeled the way we're used to. After asking, we found out the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings are their Har Gow, and the Shrimp Siu Mai contains pork, which was exactly what we were looking for. We ordered two of each. We also ordered two Beef Chow Fun, Combination Fried Rice, Eggplant with Minced Pork, Sweet & Sour Spare Ribs, and three pear sodas. The dim sum absolutely hit the spot. The Har Gow and Siu Mai were well seasoned, nicely prepared, and exactly what we had been craving. The Beef Chow Fun was another winner. We were glad we ordered two because we found ourselves reaching for it more than the fried rice. The Eggplant with Minced Pork was also delicious. The eggplant was cooked perfectly -- tender without becoming mushy -- and the seasoning was right on point. I'm also glad we changed our order from the House Special Spare Ribs to the Sweet & Sour Spare Ribs. Unlike many versions, these weren't battered and fried, so the pork maintained a great texture while still being coated in a flavorful sweet and sour sauce. One unexpected favorite was the pear soda. It's made with Asian pear, so the flavor is much lighter and more refreshing than the sweeter pear sodas we're used to. The only hiccup? They're bottled with a traditional cap, and since we were staying in a hotel, we quickly realized we didn't have a bottle opener. Let's just say we got a little creative. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed our large takeout order and packed it thoughtfully. They included six extra takeout containers, plenty of forks, chopsticks, and napkins, which ended up being incredibly helpful since we were eating in a hotel room with no paper plates or utensils. It's a small gesture, but one that definitely didn't go unnoticed. Overall, we were really happy with our meal. This place lived up to being on my bookmark list for over a year, and I'd happily come back the next time we're staying in downtown Portland.

Cocktails were ok--both the hubby and I did not finish our drinks. The soup dumplings were good. The chow mein and chicken general tso was the best dish we had. We stopped by Northern Flavors to satisfy a serious craving for some comforting, flavorful dishes,…read moreand they delivered on some great flavors! The service was good and the staff was attentive during our visit. Here is a breakdown of what we ordered: Hand-Ripped Youpoo Noodle: The absolute star of the meal. The wide, hand-ripped noodles had the perfect chewy texture you look for. They were tossed in a deeply savory, slightly spicy chili oil sauce and topped with a generous amount of perfectly seasoned minced beef and fresh bok choy. It was incredibly satisfying and a must-order. Popcorn Chicken: This was a bit of a letdown. While it looked golden brown and came with a sweet chili dipping sauce, it was not special at all and lacked any unique flavor or punch compared to the other dishes. Spicy Chili Oil Wontons: These were packed with flavor! The wonton wrappers were delicate, and the filling was juicy. They were swimming in a robust, aromatic chili oil that had a nice kick and a touch of vinegar sharpness. Why 4 stars instead of 5? While the noodles and wontons were excellent and the service was good, the atmosphere was a bit uncomfortable. The restaurant was completely empty when we went, but it was super cold inside because the window was wide open. Between the chilly draft and the fairly generic popcorn chicken, it misses out on a full 5 stars.

We ordered the sesame chicken, zhajiang noodle homemade hand pulled wide noodles, chicken fried rice and xiao long bao. The food was ready and delivered on time. The sesame chicken was still crispy with a sticky sweet sauce. Good flavor and a good amount of chicken. The zhajiang with homemade noodles was really the highlight and huge. The noodles were amazing and the sauce had great flavor. The chicken fried rice was good with a large amount of chicken. The bao were good and pretty standard. We'd definitely return.
