First of all, I had amazing service. Our server, Alex, was very warm, funny, and helpful. He was also quick and accommodating. The restaurant became busy a few minutes after we came in, but he handled the rush perfectly. The food didn't take long and my only complaint is honestly, I wish the cornbread was served warm. The mac bites were so cheesy and the breading was the right amount of crispy. The ribs themselves were not fatty and the selection of BBQ sauces was perfect--I loved the yellow bottle. The mashed potatoes were perfect as well. I just added a bit of salt and pepper and thought they were delish, they were just chunky enough. I definitely recommend coming here for BBQ that doesn't break the bank. read more

This is probably the worst BBQ joint I've ever been to. There were so many issues here I'll just list the top 4: 1) The service was slow even though there were only 4 people in the whole place. 2) The food was almost certainly at or very near room temperature (unsafe) when they handed me my take-out order. 3) They failed to give me even one correct item from my order but I only discovered this when I got home. I attempted to untie the bag at the restaurant and check the order but the cashier hurried me out of the store instead. 4) I attempted 3 times to contact the management by phone and email and was completely ignored. They dont answer their phone or emails and the voicemail is always full. This place deserves "negative" stars, but since 1 is the lowest option that's what I'm giving them. In summary, avoid this place at all costs unless you are literally starving to death. Even then I recommend you go to McDonald's instead. At least its cheap and consistent. Screw you, Hog Wild! read more

They used to substitute items when you ordered things like the 3 entree meal but last time they just cancelled. You're out of chicken, just sub like always, instead there is an ENTIRE MEAL MISSING. That's terrible business. Honestly, they always seem to be out of something no matter the day or time. The brisket sandwich was disgusting. It was a weird, maybe fatty texture that I just couldn't handle, had to spit it out actually (something I like never do) but I literally couldn't swallow it down without becoming sick. The sliders are ridiculously small for the price. They just aren't what they used to be. read more

Only thing that looked like the photo are the beans. Everything was bland, very basic. No seasoning. Rice and beans looked like they just picked it up from the dish drain. No taste either. Idk if I'll come back. And expensive too. Service was good. Place looked clean. Meat was too dry for me. Robes came off the bone easy but no flavor. 1st and last. read more

Hog Wild BBQ, this place speaks in smoke, in fire, in flavors that rise like peaks. Their meats come out honest, slow-crafted, bold, the kind of bites that linger, steady and controlled. The sides play softer, standing in the wings, not trying to steal the spotlight from the kings. The room stays clean, the staff stays warm, a quiet calm wrapped in a busy world's storm. And the portions massive, generous by design. A banquet set before you, line after line. Truth be told, even with hunger at its height, some of that bounty will escape the appetite. So here's my nod, in a present-day rhyme: a solid spot, worth your money and your time. read more

First of all, our server Kat was awesome! Super sweet & helpful! Hope others can experience that level of customer service themselves! Secondly, while some of the items weren't available because we came in closer to closing, the other options were DELICIOUS! The brisket & burnt ends were flavorful & tender & the bbq sauce was perfect for what my tummy was craving! Wish we lived in Oregon because we'd be back often if so read more

Wanted BBQ so decided to give Hog Wild Barbeque a try. It's in the same building as Bajio Mexican Grill. We dropped in on a Friday evening (8:00pm). Only two other tables were occupied. - Apple cider mimosa ($3.50 USD) - can't beat the price. A whole cinnamon stick was thrown in - Brisket chili ($11.00 USD bowl) - hearty, nicely seasoned and meat was tender - Barn buster ($29.99 USD) - opted for beef brisket, pulled pork, babyback pork ribs ($1.50 USD extra), green beans with bacon and sweet potato fries. Ribs and pulled pork were a touch dry. Brisket was better. Green beans were awful (over boiled, no texture). Sweet potatoes were decent. Never received a slice of cornbread but given burnt ends to try (slightly tough) Props for plenty of meat. 3.5 stars. read more

Stopped by this BBQ spot on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. When we walked in, the place smelled incredible . Ordered the 2 meat plate with burnt ends and brisket everything was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The variety of bbq sauces range from smoky to tangy. Sides were so impressive. The mash was creamy and the gravy was so rich I loved dipping the meat with the gravy . Even the cheese curds had that smoky comfort flavor. Portions were generous, so come hungry ! There are small upcharges for certain sides but definitely worth checking them out cause there's tons of options. Service is fast and all friendly, this place clearly takes pride in their food. If you're craving authentic done-right BBQ, this place is absolutely worth it. Can't wait to come back soon and try more items !! read more

I was looking for a quick bite and BBQ sounded worth a try. BBQ can be hit or miss in the area, but gave it a shot. The brisket absolutely melted in my mouth and while it didn't need sauce, the sauces available complimented it perfectly. The corn bread was perfectly buttery without the extra, and the sides delivered. But what really stood out was the high quality service. My server gave me great recommendations when I asked, and he was the epitome of genuinely friendly. I live in Tigard but I'll drive here again for this. 10/25/25 11:30a read more

The restaurant is nice and clean. Decorated sparsely but cute. The food is some of the best we have had in the entire Portland area. The price is decent. And the staff is friendly. We love the place!! read more

I know barbecue can be fatty. You're always prepared for that but not to this degree I spent $24 on 1 pound of Bert ends and not half of it was even edible, it was just pure fat. But it was lathered in BBQ sauce so it was hard to tell so I separated all the fat so they can see how much there was. What a waste of money read more

The food is so good and the employees are super nice I am a picky eater so they helped me find some food I loved

To start, the brisket is super fatty, the cooks, if you could even call them that do not properly plate food or seem to know how to properly cut the brisket. it should not be 98% fat. The service is shoddy unless you get the older waitress. The two young girls have extremely bad attitudes. The upholstery is in serious need of replacement and has a smell. The tables are not cleaned or bussed in a timely fashion. I have noticed that the owner here offers free food to pay off people for good positive google reviews. I suggest doing your research and trusting anything below a four star here. read more

This place used to be very good pre covid, but i've tried it like 4 times since and the meat is so... so incredibly dry. Only like 25% of it ends up salvageable read more

After driving pass this place for a couple of years, we decided to give it a try. It's a casual place with a couple of TVs. There are some pictures of actors and local decor. The staff is very nice and can assist when you don't quite know what to order. Get there early because they do tend to be out of a menu item. Collard greens seem to go fast quite often. But the green beans and bacon are a good runner up. The meat is really good. Flavorful and tender. The cornbread is nice and moist. And they have mild, medium and hot BBQ sauces at each table. read more

I'm always a little skeptical when I visit a restaurant in a strip mall, but this didn't didn't disappoint. They're located in the parking lot of Home Depot, but they have their own parking area. When we went, there was a sign that said to sit at any table with a menu on it. We were greeted upon entry by a super friendly employee who ended up being our server. The service was amazing. Like more than 5 stars amazing. Alex was our server, and if I could request him every time I would. The food was really good. I had the ribs and the bacon cheddar sausage with mac and cheese and potato salad. The ribs didn't exactly fall off the bone, but they were really tender, and the sausage was heaven. I was concerned that the mac and cheese was going to be dry and unflavored based on how it looked, but it was surprisingly very good. The inside of the restaurant itself is pretty neat looking. Lots of different decor and plenty of tables but not a lot of booths. I'm definitely going back to try other menu items. read more

Spare ribs perfect. Cranberry coleslaw exceptional. Baked potatoes with pulled pork incredible. Cornbread flavorful. Hush puppies wonderful. Fried okra nicely done. Brisket and bbq chicken also good. It's got the feel of a sports bar (tvs) beer on tap. Worth the trip. Service was responsive. Pleasant. Highly recommend. read more

The food leaves a lot to be desired. For some reason it tasted somewhat old and musty? The fries are not beer battered whatsoever and I'm not quite sure why they advertise them as such. The staff seemed disingenuous, when I asked for the table to wiped down I was met with a huff and puff with a female server with glasses like I was wasting her time, is it not your job? the restaurant reeked of smoke. I will not be returning, maybe it was just a bad day? read more

Cornbread was divine !!!!!good barbecue and large portions, will be coming back soon .Nice friendly service

The food was room temperature at best. The ribs were a bit chewy, whereas I would expect the meat to fall off the bone. The gravy on the mashed potatoes had a weird clam chowder flavor to it. Nothing here to really bring me back, or try it again. read more

There are signs around the building about supporting small businesses & "please pay in cash" so they can avoid credit card processing fees - which I wholeheartedly agree with - and I wanted to. However, when we can't even get acknowledged as I watch your staff chat nonchalantly, you've lost our business. The sign said, "If there are no menus on the table, please wait for staff." 5 empty, dirty tables with the previous party's dirty leftovers. The place wasn't buzzing with activity, but after 5 minutes standing there and zero "hey guys, we'll be right with you!" or anything, a 3 top walked in and asked what we were waiting on, then saw the sign. We waited another 3 minutes, then walked to Bajio. Another small business that needs better service if they want to survive. read more

Curious how these 5 star reviewers are coming in hot from Hawaii and Portland Oregon the same day. Interesting. Anyways, this restaurant, it's okay. The food, no heart, cheap box and bag food. All premade. The meat is sometimes day old, woo boy you best hope you're there when this place opens immediately. I ended up with 2 day old ribs a day old brisket. The service? Mediocre. Staff is rude, antagonistic, it shows being a "family" run joint. The ambiance? If you can get over the smell and sticky uncleanliness of it all, this is your jam! read more

Don't go there if you have a delivery you will have to wait up to an hour. The little hitler mustached manager is on a serious control and power trip he won't even start the orders until everyone inside the restaurant are served. This guy has no clue what customer service is about doesn't comprehend deliveries are their customers as well as the restaurant is being judged on the length they have to wait for deliveries. He snips at you if you question the wait time and will ask you to leave and cancel the order. It's restaurants like this that cause issues to the whole timing of the delivery business as well as other orders. If it is a bother please stop offering the service. read more

Last time I attempted to get food from here, they just never acknowledged my order, and when I called, they said they never got it. Today, they canceled my order and said they were closed (see screenshotthat they are open), so I called and have been on hold for over half an hour (They DID answer and put me in hold. At the top of my screenshot, you can see the call still in progress). While on hold, I ordered from Reverend's, and it is here, hot, and delicious! Arrived about 5:30 on a Tuesday. Casual atmosphere BBQ restaurant. There is Booth/Table & also Bar style seating. Walk-in & find a seat. Service was not good. The restaurant was not busy but still took someone 10 minutes to even approach our table. I also noticed it was taking awhile for to-go & dine-in orders to be filled. 20-30 minutes. Unless they are BBQing the meats to order, it should not take this long for to-go/dine-in orders to be filled imo. Not sure if they were short staffed or just laggy. Also noted there were tables that needed to be bused/cleaned. We had to ask for our previously cleared table to be wiped down. Once we placed our order with Drinks we had to remind our server about our drinks after 5-10 minutes of waiting. I ordered Burnt ends, Mac & cheese & sweet potato fries as pictured. The cornbread was the stingiest size I have ever been served(Looks bigger in the Pic) & had a odd cake like texture. The burnt ends were dry, tasted not fresh(I had to drench them in BBQ sauce), the Mac & cheese was nothing to rave about. Saving the best for last, were the sweet potatoes fries. They might even be in line for the best SPF I've ever had which is surprising considering everything else was mediocre. read more

Use to come here all the time, food was usually good here last few times, has taken forever to get food recently. Restroom was atrocious (very dirty), most tables were dirty (sign says to sit at any tables that had menus). I always tried to adhere to their ask of paying in cash, but after the last few times of under staffing and tonight wait for forty mins for take out while the single server tried her best to keep up, will not be supporting this business anymore. Do better, treat your staff better, go back to running an awesome food cart. read more

The bbq delish very moist lacking sauce could add more on sandwiches. I would like a more quality bun for the French dip it would set it aside from others. The beer battered fries are not beer battered was confused on that was expecting big deep fried beer battered fries instead steak fries no batter might want to re-name them. The timing was bad to pick up food. The toilet was running over and the male employee was very interested in that and letting customers wait more than 15 min to get help. The girl helping us was pulled away from us to wait on a table the young man was trying to help. Lacking of floor help. read more

My favorite BBQ place. Almost had to a get a car title loan just to afford to eat it. But that's not their fault I got poor people problems

I want to start out by saying I gave this place a try twice, and while the food itself is middle of the lane barbeque, it could be better. The service aT the restaurant were poor, I don't recommend a revisit based on how you are treated. it had a Smokey smell, and was not pleasant. I would take any major raving reviews with a grain of salt the owner tried to offer free food and discounts for 5 star reviews. Please be aware of this. read more

I got the combo plate consist of briskets and red beans and rice. The brisket was tender, and good amount of fat. I wished the brisket had a little more Smokey flavor and the cornbread could be served warm. My fiancé got the half rack of baby back ribs, Mac and cheese and potato salad. The ribs were juicy and came off the bone. They were out of the bbq beans, collard greens, and okra tonight so it looks like we need to come back :)! Service is friendly and very attentive. Through YELP, we were heading for lunch after church, and we saw Hog Wild BBQ from the list to check out, and we wouldn't have known it was there, if it weren't for YELP. The restaurant is not visible from the street. There was a wide variety of foods on the menu to choose from. Everything we ordered tasted great. The baby back ribs weren't fall off the bone. The pulled pork could be tastier. I liked the sweet potato fries, the beef brisket, the collard greens and corn bread. Hubby ordered two chili dogs, he said they were really good, so he shared me 1/2 of the two, and realized, there are no mustard anywhere, so our server brought us a generous portion of mustard - which is more than I needed for 1/2 a chili dog. I tried the $29 dinner platter with three meats: brisket (B-), pulled pork (B-), and bacon cheddar sausage (A-), including sides potato salad (C) and Mac n Cheese (C-), and Cornbread (C-). Sweet tea (B). The meats didn't have much flavor but were well presented and seemed decent quality. The sides all seemed to be premade from a restaurant supply store, and a step below Reser's in taste. Very bland overall. The BBQ sauce options were ok (B-) but nothing fancy. I would give only 2 stars but the place was very clean and inviting. The prices were slightly above average especially since it didn't have the flavor to justify.
