Nice, new, bbq restaurant in the heart of Estacada. They even have a drive thru! We stopped in for dinner to check out this new spot. After reading some poor reviews we weren't expecting much. Now I'm wondering what those reviewers were hoping for because the food here was better than we expected. It's a cafeteria style service when you first enter. You'll choose your meats and sides as you make your way down the line to the register. We chose the 2 meat and 3 meat plates and chose a mix of meats to be able to try several different things. We had chicken, ribs, pulled pork, brisket and sausage. The ribs were the fav of all the meats. Chicken was probably the next fav but all of the meats were good and flavorful. Except for the sausage each one is a good size portion. For sides we chose corn on the cob, Mac and cheese, coleslaw and jojos. The sides weren't anything amazing but all went well with the meat entrees. The Mac and cheese & jojo were good but both were a basic warm and serve, the coleslaw could have used more dressing and the corn was slightly too soft for our liking. Our total, including drinks, was approx. $60 (plus tip added to that) and we had a ton of left overs to take home. The restaurant itself is spacious with a lot of seating, nicely decorated, clean and inviting. The staff was very nice and helpful guiding us through our first visit. Overall, we had a great meal and we'll likely come back again to try the burnt ends that were sold out.

Everything was great. The remodel looks fantastic. The portions were huge. We had the two person sampler and everything was cooked perfectly and there was so much. We took over half of it home if you like dry cornbread, then don't come here because there's is moist and flavorful. We had four different samples barbecue sauce and they were all good. Way to go and I hope this stays for a long time.

Party at BBQ Barn! Thank you Ryan

I love the pork belly burnt ends! The corn bread was delicious! The people who work there were very great!

Super welcoming small-town vibe, quick service, and everything tasted homemade. Portions were generous for the price. Definitely coming back ! If you're in the Sandy/Estacada/Eagle Creek area and love real BBQ, this is a hidden gem you need to check out. Call ahead for ribs or the pulled pork bowl! Highly recommend. We decided it would be a good idea to fill our tummies with some lunch before getting to camp and having to set everything up. The lady running it is pretty friendly, though she was out of quite a lot of things on the menu sadly (I couldn't get the sweet potato fries or the flavor of sauce I wanted... jeez). Pricing was reasonable, especially for canned soda and bottled water (just a buck!). I noticed as she was preparing that the Mac n cheese was just frozen Stoffers... lol. And the sauces are just Cattlemen's, but on the menu they've been "rebranded" as the food truck's own thing. Sorta lame/lazy but honestly I can't hate too much on her for that; the world is tough right now, so if she can just repackage yummy prepared food for others and make a decent living, more power to her. Everything tasted good ultimately. The wait time for preparation was acceptable. But my pulled pork sandwich was decidedly lukewarm. Dunno why. Could've used a lot more cabbage. There were a couple of tables with umbrellas around outdoors to lounge and eat, which was nice. The owner even wandered over while we were eating to ask how everything was.

Willamette Valley Smokehouse is such a great find if you love BBQ and a cozy, casual atmosphere…read more The space has that welcoming Oregon vibe -- firepits glowing outside, live music setting the tone, and plenty of room to relax with friends or family. The BBQ is exactly what you want: flavorful, hearty, and clearly made with care. But the real standout is their Friday Seafood Fest. They serve whole Dungeness crab and BBQ oysters, and it's easily one of the best weekly specials in South Salem. Fresh, fun, and a perfect pairing with the smokehouse vibe. Whether you're stopping in for comfort food, live music, or a laid‑back night out, this spot consistently delivers great food and a great atmosphere. A solid local favorite.

Since it was kind of rainy and chilly out, we sat under a heater in the covered seating area and ate our food. My friend ordered jalapeño poppers and I stole one - excellent! Service is nice and friendly, food came out quickly, we ate and then played some Crazy 8s using a deck of cards from the basket near the tables. I took half my meal home for breakfast the next day and it was just as good heated up as it was fresh the day before. Easy access from I-5, lots of parking and plenty of tables. Go get you some!

Great service, great drinks, and the best pizza I've had in decades!…read more The beers Backwoods makes are all delicious and smooth-drinking. The service staff was all exceptional. But the pizza! Off the charts!, FULL REVIEW of all Services: If anyone who enjoys hiking, river fishing, or just a general outdoor-focused vacation wants a good, simple getaway with their spouse/loved one, check out the Backwoods brand in Carson, Washington (just north-northeast of Bridge of the Gods/Cascades Locks). Backwoods Cabins offers a really great overnight stay option. The 8 cabins there are all basic "two-room" designs (bedroom and attached bathroom, and a living room / mini-kitchen room). The cabins sport king-sized beds, a gas fireplace and outdoor fire, a mini kitchen with refrigerator/freezer and microwave (no stove/range). I think 3 of the 8 cabins welcome dogs. The Backwoods brand also owns Backwoods Brewery, which is just across the road from the cabin property. They have great microbrew beers (from light lagers to GREAT stouts!). The brewery also has a smokehouse, with fantastic smoked brisket, pulled pork, and house-made sausage/brats. But even better, the Backwoods Brewery offers the BEST PIZZA I've had in decades. The pizza dough is a perfect balance of flavor and texture. It's not too thin and not too thick. The crust is chewy in the middle, with a great crusty edge and base. The red sauce (they also have a white sauce we didn't try) is thick and rich, with a few tomato chunks. It's got a slight spicy bite with a sweet finish. They also have some unique house pizzas. We tried the Whistle Punk - Red sauce, bacon, smoked brisket, peppadew peppers, sweet onions, fresh mozzarella rounds - and the Pepperoni Express - Red sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms, tomatoes, banana peppers, smoked mozzarella. Both were outstanding. I'd go so far as to say both Donna and I deemed these the best pizzas we've had in 35+ years (noting that our first date was at a pizza joint in Fife we both thought was the best-ever pizza). If you stay in the Backwoods Cabins, you get two coupons for free drinks at the brewery (beer/wine/cider/cocktails) as well as an assortment of snacks for your hiking adventures, and a full S'mores kit to use over the gas fire pit. And if you are in a dog-friendly cabin, you get complimentary treats, and water/food bowls for your canines.

Gluten free review:…read more Came here after a hike because I believe in balance, climb a hill, eat a pizza. Thrilled they had gluten-free options. Tried the Tree Hugger 10" GF pizza and it was genuinely tasty. The crust? So good. The staff? Kind. The price? About $20, which felt a little "ouch," but the pizza did not, and that's what matters. The place was fun and great ambiance. Take a fun trip and go try this place out.

I didn't expect to find good BBQ outside of the south, but this was a pleasant surprise!…read moreAnd honestly, it shouldn't come as a surprise because the food in Portland is some of the best in the country. IMO. This BBQ is Kansas City style, so the sauce is a bit sweeter. We got the brisket, the chicken wings, and sides. We couldn't decide if on the sauce for the wings, so we got all 3 on the side. The Alabama white sauce was A+ The brisket was perfectly tender. It had great flavor and marbling. The wings are full wings with the drummette attached. That's the way to do it! They are smoked and then fried. They got the crisp just right. Let's talk about sides! We got the collard greens, coleslaw, and baked beans. They were all FANTASTIC! The coleslaw is a vinegar coleslaw, which I love. It wasn't the sweet mayonnaise style that most people don't enjoy. It was so good! The collard greens were perfectly flavored and tender! I couldn't have done better myself. The beans were sweet but also savory. Not super sweet, which makes me happy. Very well balanced. The server was super friendly and nice. She explained everything to us and made sure we were happy. They have a bar with various beers. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Very casual but perfect for BBQ. Highly recommend you try this spot!

Why are they serving food on a plastic tray with a piece of waxed paper? Why am I paying $70 for two people to eat lunch, and they can't even give us plates? Also- I know that rolls of non-absorbent paper on the table is quaint, but it's tacky and wastes more paper than an actual NAPKIN- the kind offered to adults at dine-in restaurants. C'mon - do better. Staff was friendly & was willing to turn down the music. I don't see how this place could possibly be wheelchair accessible.
