I don't usually listen to other customer's complaints about racial profiling. However, I believe that the employee singled me out and Lied to the police (which is a crime), at a time when the city was trying to prepare for a snow storm/warning.

Publix sets itself apart from their competition by offering super clean stores, excellent product selection and better than most customer service. I was extremely disappointed in my experience at this Publix tonight. (3/5/2018) We had just left a community meeting at the Woodstock Police Department with some of my fellow Woodstock neighbors and decided that we would all pop in to grab a few things since we were in the area. We started out checking out the BOGO bins and then worked our ways to the deli department. Then to the bakery. We were checking out some of the baked good when a woman (heavy set, brown hair, older woman) barked at us and said in a sharp voice "May I help you?" Which one of my neighbor answered "No. we're just looking." The employee didn't say anything and just walked off..... I don't know if she was insinuating that we were up to something no good or what but we weren't doing anything wrong. Just looking at some cup cakes and some peach pies..... the five of us are all grown people with college educations, home owners and one of them had a teenage kid. So for some grocery store employee talking down to us like we were teenagers giggling at a library is not only unprofessional but down right rude. You can bet the 5 of us will never come back to this store every again! Review updated on 3/5/2018

Overall, it's a great neighborhood grocery store with friendly folks, plenty of options and pleasant service. If you're just popping in to grab a few groceries, this Publix will do the trick! Now, let's get into the nitty gritty of this Publix. I've recently been able to try their food, and there are definitely some highlights. The best thing in my opinion about this Publix is their deli and their sub station. They make their subs with Boars Head deli meat on long loafs of bread. At Jersey Mike's, I can get a giant Italian sub for $18. At Publix, a similar sub costs me only $8, with only a minimal downgrade in the quality department. I'll be back at Publix for a future sub. Another cheap option here is the hot bar. The popular items are the fried chicken tenders and the wings. I can get a chicken tender meal with two sides for just over $9. I think it's a pretty good deal. Although cheap, the chicken tenders are nowhere near the best, in fact, they are typically dry from sitting out. Their sides aren't all that impressive either, and they never seem to have the potato wedges. It's a mistake going into the hot bar with super high expectations. Your goal should be to get a decent meal at a bargain, and if you think this way, then you will always feel like a winner! This Publix also has a bakery, which is easy to become fixated on, as it's one of the first things you see as you walk in. Their cookies and cakes are delicious. Their doughnuts and some of their other pastries have been hit-or-miss. Going through all the desserts is like entering the lottery, you might come out with a winner, or with a dud. Lastly, compared to other Publix's in the area, this one seems a little more cramped, and not as bright. However, I've never had one bad experience with the customer service. All attendants are friendly and helpful, which is why I will continue to shop and eat here, for as long as I live close.
