For the last several months there have been No baggers at this location. And ONLY ONE LANE IS OPEN!! TODAY, ONCE AGAIN, I LANE OPEN WITH A CASHIER AND NO BAGGERS. I HAD OVER $193.00 in my cart and it was very very full. The cashier was going as fast as possible and I had to bag my own groceries and there were 5 people behind me with full carts as well. An employee walked past and I said we need baggers here!. Look at this line.! Ignored me and kept on walking. The self checkout had 3 employees milling around laughing and talking with each other.! This is unacceptable on all levels of running a business!! I have had it with this store and will search for another down Holcomb Bridge. Manager needs to have a come to Jesus meeting with employee's and fire them and start over. They care nothing for their customers. read more

Giving it a three star rating because normally I leave this store brand very happy. Only this time I was charged more than the listed price on the item was not honored. When oranges were rang up the price was $2.00 more than it showed on the label under the product. I explained the issue and was asked if the sign mentioned a digital coupon and I said there was no mentioned of a coupon. Being in a rush I didn't have time debate the issue. Kroger seems to be noticeably going downhill - does anyone know what is going on?! They are unionized, so the pay and service should be good, riiiigghht? Both the Roswell and Crabapple stores are now woefully understaffed and the shelves somewhat empty. I'm told by (don't want to reveal source) that they are eliminating the deli because they can't staff it. Wow. In Roswell on Sept 7, someone made an announcement about the new robot cashier - whoo hoo.... We don't need robots, we need humans. My cashier was the only one open, she had no bagger, and in the middle of my order she was told to go on break. She ignored the manager. So, yesterday I tried Walmart for groceries. Same bad service, but cheaper. To summarize: I can go to Lidl, Aldi, or Walmart if I want exact same bad service for prices better than Kroger, and if I want good prices and great service I can go to Trader Joe's. GAH! I love Kroger! I wish they were open in Birmingham... they would be my go to grocery spot! I needed to pick up a few things while I'm town, and while this is not my go to Kroger in Alpharetta, it certainly met my expectations. I was able to find everything I needed (and more). I actually drive out of my way to come to this Kroger, and pass three different Publix on the way to get here. This location is always well stocked and clean. It's tucked back in the strip mall lot, but it does have a gas station there as well, so it's doubly worth the stop. I've had great experiences here with the staff, and I've also had less than great experiences, but I will take this location over any of the local Publix for the prices and the stock selection. There's also the Aldi across the street, but I'm not a huge fan of them either, so if you have a chance, and you're a Kroger junkie like me, this is definitely worth the stop. Now, I know, if you want to go to a fancier Kroger closer to Atlanta, you certainly can, but you get your bang for the buck here, even though they don't have all of the fresh bins and options like some of the other locations, but they do have the sushi station, so you have to pick your battles. read more

I wrote a review roughly 8 months ago, about my first encounter with the manager "Keith" here and how rude he was and disrespectful. This past week I had another encounter with the manager, where it led to him being reported to corporate and being very unprofessional and using profanity. I would strongly recommend not to come to this location. I always feel uneasy when I am shopping as he walks around and makes me feel very uncomfortable. All other staff is wonderful, feel very bad for them to have to work with him. Hopefully this problem can get fixed, since I have also seen others complain about him as well. read more

I'd call this your average Kroger. As far as appearance and cleanliness, I've seen much newer, cleaner, and larger Kroger stores, but also seen the other far end of the spectrum -- this one falls in the middle. Service is decent too -- most of the staff are willing to assist when you ask for help and are friendly enough checking out. They do have one of the happiest greeters of any store I've ever known! I don't know his name, but he's been there for years and his positive aura always makes me smile. :) read more

The reason I am giving this store a one star is because of their "manager". Taller middle-aged black guy. One of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure to meet. I held off several times for months from writing this review, but the moment I get into the store I feel like the guy is treating the customers like shit. He walks around with a chip on his shoulder. I genuinely feel like Im close to be assaulted when he is around. Terrible person and has no business being around customers or customer service. The store employees are generally nice. Y'all. This location is so so bad. So bad. I waited 15 minutes at the deli for EIGHT SLICES of pepperoni. And there was no line. Three people standing around staring at me. I had to ask one of them to help me. It seems so silly to review a grocery store. Because I can't remember a time I've checked reviews to determine which grocery store to visit. But this was just so bad. No one I asked for help could tell me where things were, felt less well kept than most other Kroger stores I've been to. I visited my local Kroger again today. Everything that I was looking for was in stock, but the team members continue to lack basic customer service skills. The cashier who checked me out was carrying on a conversation in Spanish. First I thought that she was talking to me, but I wasn't exactly sure what she was saying. I then realized that she was talking to someone on the phone the whole time she was ringing up my groceries. She didn't even pause to thank me or tell me to have a nice day. She simply kept talking to someone over the phone in Spanish. For this reason, I prefer to shop at the Publix down the street. read more

Since moving to SC I miss Kroger stores (Krogers); so every time I'm in GA I go to the local Krogers store. *Always pronounce the invisible "s". The Crossville location isn't my favorite Kroger mainly due to the attitude of the staff working here, but they do have all of my Kroger favs and deals. They also have a gas station at this location where you can save big on gas fill ups depending on how many points you have on your Kroger card; $.10 off a gallon for every $100 spend on groceries. This is only regarding the Crabapple Kroger pharmacy. I was told by William to head to the store and he'd have my prescriptions ready. We switched insurance so to even get this far has been a hassle. This is not my regular Kroger, stopped in on the way to an appointment to use the restroom and pick up a snack and a bottle of water. Pros: Bathroom was clean and well maintained. Cons: Why did the older (white) self-checkout cashier guy watch me like a hawk while I was at self checkout? There was a white lady at the other checkout area with way more things than me, yet he stood right behind me, almost uncomfortably close, until I checked out my three small items. Gotta say, I'm a little surprised that the Crossville Kroger doesn't get more love. Most of the bad reviews seem to be from a couple of years ago, though, so perhaps there's been a change in management that accounts for my own vastly better experience there. This is not the closest Kroger to me - that would be the one on Northridge. Anyone familiar with THAT particular Kroger understands why I (and several neighbors) drive a few miles out of our way to hit this place instead. Cleaner, friendlier, and better-stocked than its nearest sibling, this Kroger is A-okay - at least that's always been my experience. I do agree with a prior reviewer that, nestled between Alpharetta Hwy, Crossville Rd., and Mansell Blvd., this supermarket is a major pain to enter and exit. Once you're finished navigating the parking lot, however, it's a good experience. I've never had trouble finding anything and have never experienced poor customer service, though a couple of times I've spent longer in line than I would have liked because cashiers chatted up each and every customer rather than move the line along. But there's worse things than being overly friendly, amirite? Another plus - this Kroger DOES have a gas station, so if you're like me and collect fuel points, that's good to know. There is an Aldo, a Trader Joe's, and a Sprouts nearby, so make a day of it and hit 'em all. read more

Publix has been my go to place for groceries. Before Covid Kroger Mansell road was the worst, poor selection, terrible customer service is an under statement. During Covid up to now, this store has redone itself. The selection has increased tremendously, its more organized and to my surprise, customer service has gotten very good. This location has gone downhill consistently for the past 5 years. Now resembles more of the Aldi that sprang up next door. The decline in the surrounding area has caused a dramatic shift in the type and availability of products at this location. More manager's specials, fewer name brands, and lacking greatly in any type of gourmet fare that nearby Publix and Kroger offer. If it's Kroger brand or deep discount you are looking for, this is your place. But if you're used to clean and bright Krogers with large selections, head up to the Crabapple location. read more

This Kroger is tucked behind the shopping center on the north west corner of Holcomb Bridge and Alpahretta Highway. This Kroger is old, needs remodeling, and it even has a dirty feel. YOu can definitely find all the necessities, but it could definitely use some sprucing up. There is only ever one register opened, and there is always a long long line. Get some more cashiers!!! It is crazy to wait 15 minutes to check out. The people working are generally unfriendly as well. It is also a little difficult to get in and out of because it is located off the super/always busy Alpharetta Highway. It is one of the only big grocery stores in the immediate area though. read more

So the Kroger itself is nice and friendly and deserves more than two stars, especially considering that it hasn't ever been crowded the few times I've been there. Therein lies the problem. Im commenting as an ex employee. I , 35 years old, was hired at minimum wage as a "courtesy clerk ". I have no complaints about MOST of the supervisors, but there are a few starry eyed individuals whos progression ive found befuddling. A majority of the people who are quality worker's, here, seem overworked and generally unhappy. I stopped showing up. Probably not the most tactical way to leave a job, but i was traveling from austell gax to roswell for minimum wage, and 15 hours a week.... Couldn't do it. read more

Not the friendliest Kroger I've been to, I had my backpack so I wanted to leave my pack at the customer service counter, there is a tall gentleman at the customer service area, I stood in front him and I said "Excuse me", I was ignored, perhaps he didn't hear me so I slightly raised my voice and a said "Excuse me" still don't hear me, it's not like he is swamped with customer, I was the only one standing at the desk, after 5 more tries he finally hears me, so I said "May I leave this behind the counter while I shop?" and gave him my bag, he said I have to do it my self and he pointed where to leave the pack. As I walked, it was difficult to find things so I was asking the staff for help, not very friendly and acted like they didn't wan to help me... perhaps I went on a bad day, bad energy. Well I was planning on buying some meats, but typical me I end up purchasing more stuff than the short list I had in my head. As I was walking around Kroger products have updated the packages, very nice and elegant packages, I couldn't tell if it was a Kroger product until I saw on the bottom "www.kroger.com" So I actually bought 4 items because the package design was nice hahahaha At the checkout, it was the guy that couldn't hear me, he actually said to me when I was leaving, "Don't forget your stuff at customer service desk area" ? maybe he was having a bad day after all. read more

It's kinda old, and the parking situation is not idea, but the selection is fine and the prices are cheap. The produce section is usually well-stocked, although we have noticed that the strawberries tend to be overripe if not rotten. The rest of the store has a good selection and it's close by our usual haunts, so with the low prices we usually go here. About 50% of the time I try to use their Customer Service counter at this Kroger there is a problem. Tonight there was a "Temporarily Closed" sign on the counter with no one around and no Re-Open time posted. This counter is always understaffed. The help you get there is mediocre. If a particular service (like lottery or WesternUnion) is offline there is no notice posted and you've told after waiting in line. No extra help is added for long lines. I have started using the Publix. It's a little farther from my house but I know I can get everything done there. read more
