Clean, music is not blasting. We are traveling so stopped in for hot soup on a cold day and the soup was delicious! I had the chicken noodle and my husband had a baked potato with cheddar cheese, which was also delicious. Bathrooms were clean and they were actually tables so we could have a late lunch at before heading back. read more

Ordered a birthday cake from the bakery and it looks absolutely awful. Writing is completely crooked and the whipped cream border has fallen off. They had almost a week to complete this cake yet it looks rushed and ugly. Save your money and get a cake somewhere else. read more

Today was my first time in this Publix and I was not disappointed. It had the same layout as my other Publix so I was able to find everything I needed easily. Y'know the term 'caveat emptor,' buyer beware? I never thought I'd apply it to Publix, but au contraire. (I think I'm on a roll with foreign expressions!) Early August I spotted several containers of out-of-date boxed milk on the discount shelf. The milk expired in May. I brought this to the attention of an employee. He scooped up the unsalable cartons, and brought them to customer service. Two weeks later, I again perused the discount section. What did I see? The same boxes of milk, now older than before. I walked to customer service with one in hand and said quite plainly, 'this milk is expired. I've reported it before. The boxes were removed, then put back.' The woman -- she kind of gave me the stink eye -- left her post to remove said milk. I went to Publix today and well ... you guessed it! It's almost September, and the boxes magically reappeared. For a second time! I found yet another employee who assured me she'd get rid of them. We'll see. All I can say is to carefully check dates of whatever you buy, since management here is obviously lax and doesn't give a hoot about expiration dates. (I think it's illegal, not only negligent, to market expired goods.) read more

Pretty upset right now. Salad bar is always out by 8a.m. Today they say it's inspection day so they will not bring it out till 10a.m (making sure it's at the right temperature when they inspect). I talked to Scottie , the front manager, and said there was nothing he could do. ??? It takes two minutes to pull out the salad bar buckets. But thanks to the inspection, they won't. read more

I really like this Publix in the Sandy Plains area; it's a nice store that carries great products consistent with other Publix stores. I ordered some deli meat here this past weekend and the staff behind the counter were super friendly and helpful at helping me select the right meats and cuts for a party I was attending. read more

I truly wished that the west coast (San Diego preferably) could have a Publix Supermarket. Unless you've been to one, you are truly missing out on a once in a lifetime chance with an outstanding supermarket. Publix reminds me that customer service is still alive and thriving. And with that said, I can kinda understand why they're not in California. ;) Publix has that "southern hospitality" type of nature to it. That's nothing you can teach and expect a bunch of Californians to adopt. Not gonna happen. If you live there and think what I have to say is romanticized, then you clearly have never had to deal with west coast supermarkets. Consider yourself really lucky! This particular location has always had friendly, personable staff with lots of knowledge of the entire store itself. They don't just point you in the direction of where an item is located, they take you to it. The store is always very clean and generally very well stocked. They have great deals and I especially love the penny deals. Yes, you can actually buy certain items for only a penny. Their bakery has the freshest baked goods and they make amazing cakes for all occasions. They have a deli that whips up amazing sandwiches with the best deli meat. Their fish department made me a believer of tilapia when I was only 11-years-old, and I couldn't stand the sight of fish. Their meat department has a glass window so you get to see actual butchers handling, preparing and packaging the meat (no pink slime here)! The produce department always has the ripest fruit and a great variety of selections. The floral department not only has an amazing selection of flowers, but in the past (not sure if they still do it) they had very skilled workers that knew how to put together some of the most amazing arrangements I've ever seen. Any time I go back to Marietta to visit my family; I HAVE to stop in and bask of the glory of Publix. Oh how I wish they would make their way to the west coast. read more

Best customer service ever! This store is amazing and it shows at every level. I am always greeted by the friendly employees every time I enter. The employees go out of their way to help me. Multiple times they have stopped what they are doing to help me. In the deli I was looking for a rotisserie chicken that would be ready in 5 minutes, I continued shopping and the deli employee found me in the store to bring it to me. The manager has personally assisted me with an item and with an awesome attitude. The meat department has personally cut a specific item for me when I could not find it on the shelf. Customer service like this is rare in other retailers. I have become a Publix shopper for life. Even the produce department has gone out of their way to make sure I found what I needed. Not only did I have to stand in a line forever due to slow service and too few open checkout lanes, but in this Publix branch, there were several customers without face masks. I would consider this to be a medium-sized Publix, but one of the cleanest and friendliest ones you will find in Cobb County. There is a SunTrust and a Starbucks inside, and the sushi man is a long-standing icon of the store with his excellent skills and kind disposition. There is self check out, but the lines are never bad if you prefer a cashier. Whenever a line is free, the cashier stands in the shopping walkway to alert customers who are ready to check out. You can't beat their responsiveness. The prices are a tad higher here than at the Kroger across the street for some items, but the produce section is always fresher. My only wish is that they could carry more local nondairy cheeses. I do about 40% of my shopping at this particular Publix read more

We have never had an experience in any Publix we have been in quite like this location. Nearly every employee is super rude and not happy to be doing their job. This is over multiple visits. This is kind of a model Publix. I've been to many in and around this area, and this location is far and away the best I've been to. Period. I'm lucky in that it's the Publix closest to both where I live and where I work, so I can take full advantage of this place. So what do I like about this place? It's big -- among the biggest I've been to. Great produce -- always walk away with whatever I'm looking for, and it's usually super-fresh. Great prices -- okay, so this is decided more at the corporate level, but I still love the sheer amount of buy 1, get 1 sales they do! Their deli -- this to me is the best part of this location. The deli section is HUGE, with list of sandwiches limited only by what their deli meat section contains and your imagination. In addition to being able to make a sandwich from anything they have available, they also have a large selection of 'pre-set' sandwiches. My personal favorite is the Rueben, which is actually among the best examples of this sandwich I've had. Their french fries are great, as are most of their other prepared foods (my wife is particularly fond of their fried chicken and especially their wide assortment of chicken wings). All in all, my favorite place to shop close to home! read more

All in all, this is a great Publix. Having a SunTrust inside (with extended hours) is awesome. My only complaint is that employees take their smoke breaks right outside the front door -- often. I don't understand why they do it that way. Other than that, this location is remarkably clean and friendly, and I'm there at least a few times per week. read more

You cannot beat their Deli for a very good and affordable lunch. Publix has some of the best sandwiches around and the price cannot be beat. You can customize your sandwich just the way you want it and make it a combo for just a little more. service is usually quick and you're are stuff waiting to long. They even have a register best the Deli where you can pay and get out of the store extremely quick. There sandwich is so much better than the national franchise stores nearby. read more

Went here yesterday while waiting on our takeout pizza to pickup a couple items. Spent more time with a VERY friendly cashier chatting us up, than we actually did grabbing items and purchasing them. Don't recall her name, but we learned her youngest niece/granddaughter/other family member from a large Southern family was getting married in exactly 42 minutes. This was after she commented on S' engagement ring and gave us a HELLA ton of advice on how to plan our wedding. We will be back. Great customer service! read more

SUNDAY MORNING BAKERY VISIT My husband and I stopped in to grab a bakery treat this morning. I was specifically looking for the sour cream donut which is not available at every store. As a rule, Publix bakeries tend to very small and therefore carry a limited number of treats. The sour cream donut was not available at this location so I opted to just go with the plain glazed donut and a Calypso cookie. Wow, that donut was no featherweight, it ate like a meal! It was very hearty but fell short on the glaze which needed to be doubled in order to balance out the bite. I don't like it when they are stingy with the glaze because a "glazed" donut is all about that glaze! That awesome Calypso cookie more than made up for the donut. It contained oatmeal, coconut and generously sized pecan pieces. It was delicious, slightly chewy on the inside and crispy along the edges without being too sweet. If this was something that was available at my local store, I would definitely stock up. This bakery is certainly worth a visit! Like I've always said, it pays to shop around! read more

I do not like this store. I've tried. I'm clearly in the minority with this opinion, but I'm lumping multiple visits in with my rating - this isn't just based on today's experience; however today's experience was the icing on the cupcake when I popped in for a pound of turkey from the deli counter. For starters, no one was being waited on, and the deli employee clearly refused to serve me until I took a number. Really? She finally came over to the counter and proceeded to just look at me. She didn't address me "how can I help you?"...nothing. When I asked for my turkey sliced thin, she snapped back "well, I can try to slice it thinner than sandwich slice, but it will fall apart." To which I replied "do what you have to do." She only half way came around when I told her her slice was perfect, so when she gave me my turkey, I was lucky enough to get a "you're welcome" after I thanked her. Unreal. I will literally drive to another county to grocery shop before I frequent this Publix again. read more

Just a normal publix. Nothing really stood out here that would make me go on for days. The reason I gave it 5 stars is because it is like any other publix. I go to the one in my area all the time. All the people are friendly and offer help even if you don't ask. This is what I have come to expect from publix and this is the same service I was provided while I was here. Great Job! I have been shopping at this location for 20 years and I can honestly say that in all that time I have NEVER ONCE had a bad experience. That is really saying something! The cleanliness, the selection, the quality of the Deli and Bakery products, and the meat and produce are all top notch. Best of all, though, is their customer service standards which are second to none - in any industry. Whatever they do to achieve this is something other retailers should take notice of. (Chick-Fil-A is the only other local business in the same league.) On the rare occasion that I have had an issue with an item I bought, the return process was swift and courteous with no questions asked. What I especially like is the fact that there are long time employees in this store - people who have been there for years. That says something about the company and their employment practices since they are able to attract and retain quality employees. They also offer employment to adults with special needs who seem to thrive in the supportive environment that Publix offers which gives them a chance to build their skills and gain self confidence. In addition it gives them and the customers a chance to interact and build a sense of community. If I have any complaint about this location, it only concerns the parking lot which is a horror. I find myself sometimes defaulting to the Publix on Johnson Ferry Road (which is every bit as good as this one, although further from me) because their parking lot is so much easier to navigate. While Publix doesn't necessarily have the lowest prices on all the items I buy each week, the superior selection and service make it worth paying slightly more. Grocery shopping is a weekly chore and anything that makes it easier - and even enjoyable - is worth a couple of extra dollars on my grocery bill. read more

Agree with Jeff for the most part.. The deli is great, the salad bar has just the right amount of items and remains super fresh, Sandwiches, burgers soups are all smashing. They are trying in an obvious catchup game with Kroger, This location has added a world food section, baked beans, lucazade, indian spices and sauces to name a few. Butcher section is only beaten by whole foods / fresh market types. Fishmonger sucks... always looks like the rejects in the display case. Starting to improve on cheese section and organic / alt frozen and fresh produce. Good selection of fruit and veg and all the general everyday items. Price... uhmm since when does it cost 2+ dollars to cook up a french loaf ? Cheese look at the price of Blue Camembert twice the price of whole foods. If you keep your eye on things prices are inline with quality... Some are just rip offs. It still is my goto place for the majority of the essentials. read more
