    Line 2 for the self-checkout.

Waited 20 minutes and gave up for the deli sandwich. Then got in the self-checkout line and found out there were two lines, and mine had one working register. I explained to the guy working there how the self-checkout line works, and he seemed to feel he had no control over it. Don't be dumb. Go to WalMart.

Great Bakery This is a review of only the Bakery in this store. If the rest of the store is like the Bakery, it's really a great place. We were in town for a combination Thanksgiving/Christmas with my sons and their wives since we can not be here for Christmas. Dec 2 is also my eldest son's Birthday and at the last minute, we decided to get a birthday cake to present to him over dinner. The staff in the bakery were very helpful and the young lady who decorated his cake has great artistic ability.. That said, the cake as delicious as well. We're getting our first Publix in Cornelius NC after the first of the year and I hope it'ss half a good as this one. The ones we have encountered on our Florida trips have generally been good and I hope they continue the trend with the opening of this new store.

    Boar's Head Ultimate-(swine optional).

I don't live in this area, but sometimes I work closeby. Since Spring Break means nothing is on its usual schedule, I missed breakfast this morning. I wanted to find some fresh--instead of "fast"-- food and decided to stop off here for a sub. I ordered a Boar's Head Ultimate on their soft wheat roll-substituting turkey pastrami for the ham (because, ya know-no swine for me, thanks), and all sorts of veg fixin's. I also picked up some ripe & sweet pineapple chunks. Who doesn't love something sweet to finish a meal? I don't know if it was the premium meats, the enthusiasm of the gentleman who made my sandwich (I love to name-drop great service, but unfortunately I didn't get his), the general good vibes coming from the cashiers interacting with the customers and eachother, or the fact that it was almost 2pm and I was famished (see: Eddie Murphy Raw re: saltine/ritz cracker)...anyway, everything was so delicious- but really no surprise here, it's Publix! Here's what I did note on this visit: unlike other locations I've been to, this one seemed to have a dedicated entrance and exit-I got the feeling I had entered through the exit, by how close I was to the people checking out when I stepped inside. They have a lot of perfectly-sized pre-made salads, fruit bowls, etc., if you wanted to stop by and pick something up ahead of the lunchtime crowd. So, I know what you're thinking: "...what else, EXACTLY, was on your sub...?" Just know that I build the best sandwich! Om. Nom.

Ordered a buffalo chicken tender sandwich (hoagie). It was an absolute debacle. Cannot pick up to eat. A total mess.

As prescribed. I always call in a few days before I am out of medication, so that I can schedule where I am that day for work. This morning I called in to ask the same thing. When asked, the pharmacy technician laughed at me and said, "yeah, that's too early to fill, is there anything else I can help you with?" And I reiterated that I was fine on the medication but just wanted to know what day I can refill. This medicine has also been on back order for months, and often, I have to call multiple pharmacies to find it and it is crucial that I be proactive. She replied, "you can refill the j day 28, just count from the day you had it filled. And then said thank you" and hung up. I was really almost in tears as she was clearly implying that I was trying to fill my prescription early. I was embarrassed by someone who is supposed to be a healthcare provider. I composed myself and called back. I asked for a manager, Jayda said "she's not in". And I asked when and how I could speak with her and she said, "she's on maternity leave. I don't know." So then I asked if there was a corporate email or phone number that I could reach out to. Her response was, "Mr. Hazell, it's on Google." And hung up on me again. I have filed a complaint with the corporate office and will be having my prescriptions transferred to another Kroger pharmacy. I will stick with Kroger Pharmacy as I have only ever experienced helpful and friendly service from others.

I've had this place on my list for Pizza but instead got sandwiches. I wasn't really feeling pizza…read moretoday and they feature three options which are kind of like thick focaccia bread with toppings on top. Maybe next time, and maybe a whole pie instead, as I'm not typically a fan of pizza that stays out on the counter for a bit. That's just me, I bet this is usual, so no points off to them for this. I decided to grab The Marino from their menu. I really enjoyed the meatballs. They were super flavorful, a lot better than most places. The bread they used seemed to have been more on the Ciabatta side. The texture of the bread was soft and not hard to bite into. The sauce was not doused on this, which was great for me, so I didn't get any in my beard. It said panini, but I didn't sense the bread was pressed at all. Maybe there is something different about this in Italy that I'm not aware of? The sandwich was great overall, I wish it was larger or had an option to be larger. At $9.99, I really can't complain. Coulda just gotten two. Maybe next time! :D The shop is really cool and carries a lot of Italian/EU imports. I was able to find a jar of Nutella that is imported, which if you know, imported Nutella taste different than US Nutella and comes in a glass jar instead of plastic and taste creamier. They also had lots of pastas, sauces and candies. Some Easter stuff leftover as well at the time of this post. EU easter candy is better than American easter candy. :D When you walk in, the line sort of leads to the back and you make your way up to the front. In the glass, there are various burrata's available for around $8 each. Good for making your own pizza or perhaps an Italian dish. I didn't pay attention to what milk was used, but this is Georgia, so you make do. The drinks are all canned or bottled. They had some imported sparkling waters. You can tell by the fact that the caps don't twist off and are attached to the bottle intentionally because the EU requires this to avoid pollution by people leaving bottle caps all over the place. The young lady at the counter super knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. She was very sweet and good to talk to. I came after a lunch rush, so she asked me to pick a seat and let her know so she can clean it up. Very much appreciated that. Place is a little small and not a lot of seats. If you happen to come during lunch hour, be prepared to get the order to go and sit outside or across in the park center of the square. It's very well maintained from the looks of it and would be a great picnic area. Overall, I enjoyed this location very much. I would definitely come again to try some of their other offerings.
