Today I visited the Publix Super Market at Macland Pointe Shopping Center (1750 Powder Springs Rd SW) and wanted to take a moment to compliment Jasmine in the deli. Her friendliness and outstanding customer service truly stood out. I watched as she managed to engage warmly with customers waiting at the hot bar while still being attentive to the person she was serving, an impressive skill! Too often, we're quick to point out when service falls short, but I believe it's just as important to recognize when someone goes above and beyond to be kind. I typically shop at Publix, but this was my favorite visit to this Publix. One of the things that I love about Publix is their BOGO sale items. When I arrived at this store, I walked down a couple of aisles and looked for BOGO deals. I found cereal, chips, bakery goods and ice cream treats on sale. This store was clean and well-organized. When I finished shopping and approached the check out area, there were three registers open with 3 to 4 customers in each line. I got into the shortest line. While I was waiting, a team member approached me and told me that he was opening another register and invited me to join him. I appreciate this kind of customer service. read more

You can't ever go wrong going to a Publix for your stuff. They always have brightly lit stores, fresh produce and clean floors...and their meat is the best...whenever you hear about meat recalls...you never hear Publix's name on the list....that's because they are that good... They consistently make a killer sweet potato pie...let me tell you I can knock one out in one setting...that's how good they are...they also make good corn bread.... They also have a great British foods section with stuff like Abbey Farm's Irish rhubarb and ginger jam. Jacob's mini cheddar, Pataks Dopiaza mild curry simmer sauce, Cadbury chocolate that's made in the U.K. ( I was told that the Cadbury that's made in the US taste different from the onces made in the UK...not sure about this I trust my source...) PG tea, Hobnobs, McVities Digestives biscuits...for some reason they stopped carrying the rich tea biscuits...so sad... if you need groceries and you are in the area...you can't go wrong coming here.... read more

Honestly so highly disappointed with the delis customer service today . Unfortunately I had the pleasure of having Natalie make my sandwich , which took her about 15 minutes for one , she spoke with her coworker more than tending to my sandwich , and it was wrapped so poorly . I'm just sooo annoyed because I've been coming to this particular Publix for two years and never had a problem . I have not gone to this location in a while. The people in the deli have refused to serve me several times now and I'm tired of being ignore by the manager. Why do I always have to speak to a manager in order to get service in the deli?? The smell from the deli area is enough to make someone puke. What are you not cleaning??? The employees frequently handle trash and then straight to touching food without washing their hands. You will get food poisoning if you eat food from this location's deli. read more

I always experience great service at this Publix. The only downfall can be the speed of service during lunch time at the deli, and sometimes checking out (but usually check out is fast). I really like this location's sushi and subs. I highly recommend the turkey spinach wrap (Not too much bread, but still pretty dope depending on what you like inside of it). They always seem to have a special at the deli, whether it is a sub of the week, or a hot plate for a reasonable price (Between $4 and $6, which is perfect if you forgot your lunch.) Publix is on the higher end of the supermarket chain, so I don't really do ALL of my shopping here, or a lot of shopping here, but I do LOVE the quality of produce and the BOGO deals. The cool thing about BOGO here, is that you can purchase two OR you can purchase one and get the sale item of choice 50% off. This week I racked up on Emerald's mixed nuts ($1.79 a package with the BOGO deal) and fresh fruit. The cherries were $1.99 a lb (on sale, they are usually $4 a lb), and the smaller fruit salads, were about $2 each and had strawberry, pineapple, watermelon, grapes, and melon in them. The Buy one get one free specials really help you save. Also earlier this week, they had a $3.49 chicken special, that I took advantage of because I forgot my lunch. This included a leg, thigh (fried), a Hawaiian roll, mac and cheese and carrots( But they had an array of sides, wedges, rice, Lima beans, macaroni and cheese, etc and you could choose any two). The white meat was $1 more for a similar lunch/dinner plate. I also love this location because they have a Suntrust Bank. This is so convenient, because they have the same services as a Suntrust that stands alone, but they also have extended hours and a tele-connect ATM machine. The cool thing about that is if the bank is closed you can still speak to a person (think video chat), if you come before 8 PM (Monday through Friday, possibly Saturday , but don't quote me on that.) The Suntrust stays open until 6 PM on Saturdays, unlike the actual branch that closes between noon and two. So that's a plus. On another note, the store's bathroom is clean and maintained through out the day consistently. The cashiers are always friendly. Overall, this is one of my favorite Publix locations. read more

At 1205 in the afternoon I went to the deli to get some sliced meat. Only 2 people were working at the deli taking care of customers. However, they were making subs and taking care of the hot food section. No one was there to slice meat. This is a management problem to only have 2 people working the deli at 12pm when they know subs and hot food are very popular with the lunch crowd. This review is only for today. Usually the service here is excellent and today the BOGO selection was excellent. Ps: the employees that were working the deli counter were great and apologetic for the long wait. This is our favorite Publix! The employees are so helpful and wonderful with my kids. My daughter always looks forward to her complimentary slice of cheese at the deli counter and cookie in the bakery. Clean and always stocked, and if by chance they don't carry something you need they're happy to stock it for you. Wonderful customer service and shopping is truly a pleasure! read more

Like always, I am a fan of Publix stores. I love the cleanliness of the store, as that is usually one of the constants found in this chain of markets. I will admit, I will drive well out of my way to go get a sub sandwich from the Publix Deli, because they are absolutely amazing. The Boar's Head deli mustard makes the sandwich. They never skimp on toppings, and it is only a few cents more per sandwich compared to Subway, and you get a exponentially better sandwich. I love the Penny Deals they have, it is a great way to really stock up on stuff you can use presently or down the road. read more

I shop at this particular location from time to time, however today I was in a rush to gather some last minute things. I grabbed a hand basket because I knew exactly what I needed and figured it would be best since I won't be in the store for to long. Anyway my hand basket was full and I was holding a bouquet of roses for my aunt Kimmie who's in the hospital. I forgot to ask for his name but the Store Associate notice how I struggling trying to gather additional items for my aunt and he offered to help, he even walked me to the cashier. Although it was a simple help in hand and he was simply doing his job, I felt a bit of relief. Geez I wish I knew his name but thanks buddy. read more

This store is ALWAYS understaffed, especially in the deli. I'm standing in line now and there are 20 other people waiting to be helped. It's as if the managers stay in the office and have no idea what the hell is going on in their store. I've given up buying things from the bakery after 6pm. It's virtually impossible to get any help. Do those idiots even realize the amount of revenue they lose by not being adequately staffed? If Kroger ever built a decent deli around here. It would put this, the worst Publix I've ever been in, out of business. Oh, and they should consider limping into the 21st century and adding some self-check lanes. read more

Have been a Publix shopper since they came to Atlanta. Recently moved so this is the store closest to me. The deli department at this location is extremely slow and most times under staffed. Most of their manpower resources are used to staff the counter making subs, etc. and at times they have been pretty rude in telling me I'll just have to wait. The rest of the shopping experience is pretty standard until you get to the register. They always ask if you've found everything you came in for and if you tell them "no" and that several items were out of stock they just don't respond. And while you're at the register you can always count in them to hit you up for money for charity. Every time. I'm not against helping those less fortunate but the cashiers can get a little pushy at times about it. read more

The Deli department at this publix is HORRIBLE. I waited 30 min in line, and there was only 1 person in front of me. When it got to my turn, the lady who was taking orders got up and left. I then had to wait another 15 minutes just for one sandwich. This is horrible service and needs to be improved. This isn't the first complaint i've heard about this department in this store. The quality and selection of food is good, and the staff is usually courteous and responsive. The eastern exit near Bells Ferry Elementary is completely unsafe though and needs to be ripped out and redone to something else. The store always seems clean and well stocked. read more

I'd say this was the first time I've EVER been in a Publix when it seem like the employees didn't want to be there and didn't go out of their way to help out. Made me feel like I was bothering them. Very clean store with friendly staff. I stop in here at lunch time for deli sandwiches and miscellaneous items, and am always impressed by how quickly the lines move. The only exception to that would be Wednesdays, which are senior citizen discount days -- and the local seniors really like to take advantage here. read more

We've always been fans of Publix, and now that we have an infant, we're even bigger fans. I was able to bottle-feed my child in the cafe area with no issue, the women's restroom was nice and clean (big plus when it comes to diaper changes), and even though we only had two bags, an associate offered to help us out. My husband was thrilled to find a changing table in the men's room - very rare in most establishments. Thank you for always providing a great experience, Publix! read more

Clean store, mostly friendly staff. I guess I got there before the young sandwich making chick was ready "to serve" because she surely didnt want to be bothered. I had to ask someone else to make my sandwich. But lets not dwell on her. Everyone else is great. If u plan to go there for lunch and it's around 11 make sure to call them first to see if everything's set up. Sometimes they run a little behind. Now personally i go to the seafood section and get a pound of steamed shrimp w/both cajun and old bay seasoning. I got everyone in my job on it now. :) Seafood opens @ 7am and I just call ahead. Went in this store today to pick up some gallons of water. The staff on the sales floor was fine; they even offered to get items off the top shelf for me without me asking for help. Everything went down hill at checkout. Cashier was ok with me but was rude to the person in front of me. He got upset because the person started bagging his own groceries. He stated his managers required him to bag groceries. Who cares? The customer did nothing wrong by bagging his own groceries. Glad this isn't my go to Publix. read more

I just moved here to Marietta from Atlanta (lived there for 5 months after living in Florida all of my life) and I love this Publix so much. It's extremely clean and large; and they always have my favorite groceries in stock. Their deli clerks are nice, their meat department is clean and organized, the shelves are always blocked neatly, the produce is always full of my favorites, and the pharmacy clerks are always so helpful. The customer service clerks are usually really friendly too. Sometimes they act just average but they're certainly never rude like Walmart and Kroger employees can be sometimes!!! This Publix has the best service around. I drive past other Publix to get to this one. The service is ALWAYS spot on, even when it's busy. The deli workers are especially friendly and helpful. Every cashier I've had has been incredibly helpful and polite. Even the employees who are working hard to keep the shelves stocked are willing to drop what they are doing and help me find anything I need. I am seriously impressed with this location! read more

the people at this publix are soooooo friendly, kind, caring, and helpful, this is the only place we grocery shop besides the occasional walmart or target visit, there buy one get one free deals are awsome and there produce is fresh!! My 3 year old gets a cookie from the bakery everytime and their so nice to him! The store is alwsys clean, organized and i think in 3 years i can only remember one time that they where out of stock of something i needed...they make awsome pizza dough, and the Pettit Fours in g he bakery are to die for!! I think their tiramisu is better g then olive gardens!! i love this grocery store and we will really miss them when we move from this area!! read more

I'm so impressed with this supermarket. The shelves are always stocked, the place is so clean and the staff is super friendly. They really go above and beyond.
