Brand new location with plenty of parking, free buggies, kiddie buggies, & sanitation stations to clean the buggies. The store is clean, well laid out and during their first five weeks of being open, has always been well stocked. For being a brand new location, the employees are both friendly and well trained. I find Lidl a cross between Trader Joe's and Aldi. Great prices, lots of house and German/European brands. From fresh flowers, bakery items, produce, household items, fresh meat, seafood, dairy, frozen items, to household items, beer, and wine, Lidl has a bit of everything. The weekly ads begin on Wednesdays and run through the following Tuesday, and there are special weekend only deals. Also as you walk through the store there are often percent off stickers on various items for further discounts. Be sure to sign up for the Lidl app to take advantage of member savings and coupons.

We were visiting relatives in Marietta, Georgia and discovered Lidl. I live in the northern suburbs of Chicago and I had come across an article about Lidl coming to the U.S. from Germany to give Aldi competition. Currently, as far as I know Lidl is located on the east coast from New York, New Jersey, down several states to Georgia. When we seen this store I had to stop in to see what it's about. When we walked in the first thing we saw was a display with all of these fresh bread, rolls. crescent rolls, etc. Walking down the first isle was fresh fruits and vegetables. Then came a great selection of frozen seafoods. From there was an incredible selection of cheeses. I can keep going on and on about all of the products they carry but you get the drift. They carry a great selection of there own brand name products along with so many name brands. As for pricing. Store brand products are priced like Aldi. As for the name brands, pricing is the same as Kroger just down the street. Milk prices were really great. $1.26 a gallon. The store is really, really clean. You don't see half empty boxes all over the place like Aldi. You still need to purchase bags like you do at Aldi, but you don't need to put a quarter in the slot to get a cart. Lidl is a neat store and I do think they will give Aldi fair competition.

    Convenient grocery store.

One of the nicest and cleanest stores with fresh vegetables, fruits and bakery goods. The only thing that I have a problem with, is the open access to the majority of the baked good items. Since Covid and other air born viruses I feel that food that you don't wash should be covered. It would be nice if they wrapped their baked goods. The staff is awesome and very friendly and prices are amazing.

I had an absolutely horrible experience this morning that should have been just a simple phone…read morecall. I take a medication that is a controlled substance, which I have taken for 4-5 years. As prescribed. I always call in a few days before I am out of medication, so that I can schedule where I am that day for work. This morning I called in to ask the same thing. When asked, the pharmacy technician laughed at me and said, "yeah, that's too early to fill, is there anything else I can help you with?" And I reiterated that I was fine on the medication but just wanted to know what day I can refill. This medicine has also been on back order for months, and often, I have to call multiple pharmacies to find it and it is crucial that I be proactive. She replied, "you can refill the j day 28, just count from the day you had it filled. And then said thank you" and hung up. I was really almost in tears as she was clearly implying that I was trying to fill my prescription early. I was embarrassed by someone who is supposed to be a healthcare provider. I composed myself and called back. I asked for a manager, Jayda said "she's not in". And I asked when and how I could speak with her and she said, "she's on maternity leave. I don't know." So then I asked if there was a corporate email or phone number that I could reach out to. Her response was, "Mr. Hazell, it's on Google." And hung up on me again. I have filed a complaint with the corporate office and will be having my prescriptions transferred to another Kroger pharmacy. I will stick with Kroger Pharmacy as I have only ever experienced helpful and friendly service from others.

I've had this place on my list for Pizza but instead got sandwiches. I wasn't really feeling pizza…read moretoday and they feature three options which are kind of like thick focaccia bread with toppings on top. Maybe next time, and maybe a whole pie instead, as I'm not typically a fan of pizza that stays out on the counter for a bit. That's just me, I bet this is usual, so no points off to them for this. I decided to grab The Marino from their menu. I really enjoyed the meatballs. They were super flavorful, a lot better than most places. The bread they used seemed to have been more on the Ciabatta side. The texture of the bread was soft and not hard to bite into. The sauce was not doused on this, which was great for me, so I didn't get any in my beard. It said panini, but I didn't sense the bread was pressed at all. Maybe there is something different about this in Italy that I'm not aware of? The sandwich was great overall, I wish it was larger or had an option to be larger. At $9.99, I really can't complain. Coulda just gotten two. Maybe next time! :D The shop is really cool and carries a lot of Italian/EU imports. I was able to find a jar of Nutella that is imported, which if you know, imported Nutella taste different than US Nutella and comes in a glass jar instead of plastic and taste creamier. They also had lots of pastas, sauces and candies. Some Easter stuff leftover as well at the time of this post. EU easter candy is better than American easter candy. :D When you walk in, the line sort of leads to the back and you make your way up to the front. In the glass, there are various burrata's available for around $8 each. Good for making your own pizza or perhaps an Italian dish. I didn't pay attention to what milk was used, but this is Georgia, so you make do. The drinks are all canned or bottled. They had some imported sparkling waters. You can tell by the fact that the caps don't twist off and are attached to the bottle intentionally because the EU requires this to avoid pollution by people leaving bottle caps all over the place. The young lady at the counter super knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. She was very sweet and good to talk to. I came after a lunch rush, so she asked me to pick a seat and let her know so she can clean it up. Very much appreciated that. Place is a little small and not a lot of seats. If you happen to come during lunch hour, be prepared to get the order to go and sit outside or across in the park center of the square. It's very well maintained from the looks of it and would be a great picnic area. Overall, I enjoyed this location very much. I would definitely come again to try some of their other offerings.
