You have Publix and then you have PUBLIX (think of me saying this in a bougie accent!). While this is the most upscale Publix that I have been to, it still has the KINDEST and most WELCOMING employees. What makes this location different than others? Here is my list: 1)They serve beverages of the alcohol type and have a bar! 2)They have a chicken wing bar with like 10 types of wings to choose from 3)They have a pizza station and Ramen Station and Burrito Station. 4)They make killer Pub Subs (and this is the most important). They have an upstairs area with tons of places to sit and enjoy your beverage and food. They have stairs and an elevator (ADA compliant). The parking lot is huge, but it does get packed. This might be my new favorite Publix. They had a great hot wing bar serving up tons of flavors and super quick deli. Great place to grab a pub sub and hang out before doing any grocery shopping. Of course with a little one we had to get the special cart for her to drive in. Loved how bright clean and friendly this Publix was on our impromptu visit. read more

I like Publix stores in general and I find this location to be above normal. They have great products at good prices. They usually have everything that I want or need. The staff is wonderful, nice, polite & helpful. It is easy to get help at the deli counter and bakery. My mother loves the hot fried chicken here. It's her favorite. I often get their (pre-made) boars head sandwiches or salads. I like the Turkey Cobb Salad (it comes with guacamole). Mmmmmm. Lately, my favorite sandwich is their Publix Deli Boar's Head Everroast Chicken with Bacon, Grab & Go Sandwich. They also make fresh hot or cold sandwiches & subs. I really like their hot Chicken Cordon Bleu sub. They have a good wine selection and when I look, I can always find something nice. There's plenty of parking for this shopping center, so I've never had problem parking here. read more

When I need eggs, juice, butter or bread or Nutella hazelnut spread. I head on down to Publix Grocery store you know the place with the shiny clean floor. They have a great deli with delicious yummy cookies and who knows what else kind of mouthwatering goodies. Around the holidays they have these holiday pies that you can take and show off as your blue ribbon prize. They also have samples and cooking demonstrations so that cooking for the fam won't be such frustration. I think every Publix that I've even been to is always clean and looks brand new. Today is March 7th, I am angry, annoyed, dissatisfied and feeling nauseous after eating a piece of hair in my Publix sandwich bought today March 7th. My hair is black this here was a very light brown color and it did not come from my head considering I have a scarf on my head because I worked out at the gym. The small sub had 3 pieces of meat and overly peppered. However, the problem wasn't the three pieces of meat nor the overly peppered sandwich the biggest problem was the hair inside my sandwich belonged to their establishment. I felt like someone had spit on me and I wanted to vomit but all I could do was brush my teeth and rinse my mouth out. This has been my Publix for many years and I've always loved it but recently I have come to dread walking in because I know during checkout I'm going to be bombarded with solicitations for March of Dimes. The management should really take this under advisement. Even in self check out, which I go to to specifically avoid this kind of crap, I still get harassed with these donation requests. I am polite to the employees because I know that it's not their idea to bug the crap out of people but I can say for myself and probably many other customers, this gets really uncomfortable and, eventually, angering. This manner of solicitation has always had the opposite of the desired effect on me and makes me never want to donate to the charity. As someone who is in top leadership of a local nonprofit, I believe this is not a good way to endear and cultivate donors. And as for Publix in particular, this is really making me want to go elsewhere when I need to stop in for groceries. read more

One star is too nice. I love the staff here but something is horribly wrong here. During the pandemic, Walmart and Kroger stay stocked and help the community. Publix just gives a big f-you. Love this location. Obviously the buffalo chicken dip from the deli always finds its way into my cart. But the produce and meat department are what really stands out. The produce section seems to be on the smaller side but quality is there. There is always someone stocking the produce and ready to help you. The meat department is stocked and clean. The butcher is always on hand with a smile. I've asked various butchers on staff for suggestions on cooking certain cuts of meat. They are friendly and knowledgeable. This is a great location and I will continue to shop here. read more

This is my top choice for local grocery shopping. This Publix location is very clean and the staff are accommodating. The deli department always cuts my meats/cheese exactly how I want them- they even let you sample your selection before cutting the entire amount. The bakery department always gets my son a sprinkle cookie- that makes for an easier shopping experience for there on out. The meat department is the reason I shop at this store. The meats are never creepy, they are always trimmed nicely and they always have what you need. My only suggestion would be for the produce section- the produce selection lacks diversity and is sometimes overpriced. read more

Again stock issues with this Publix. They are finally getting more Paper Towels and Toilet Paper, but other things are out. I like the Sargento Balanced Breaks with Pepper Jack Cheese, honey roasted peanuts and raisins. This Publix hasn't had it for the last 3 weeks. Part of the problem is every week I go in to look for this item, some store employee has filled the section with another item so it looks full. PLEASE do NOT put a different item in the slot. Whoever does the ordering won't be aware that the item is out. This is standard for any item. Publix is really bad about this. Leave the section empty. Don't fill it with another available item. The staff should have been taught this on day one. This manager is lax about getting items stocked. If they are available at other Publix stores or other groceries stores it isn't a manufacture issue. It is a ORDERING ISSUE BY THE MANAGER OR PUBLIX STAFF. read more

This morning after going to the service desk to purchase a money order for my mom. The young lady called me over. I asked for the money order and inserted my debit card and pin. She rudly asked me to remove my card and show my license. ( which i did) I was taken aback as i never showed id using my pin. I asked her why and she RUDELY reaponded if i wanted to speak to the manager. I said yes. After waiting for several minutes they both emerged. I asked the manager why as i had never been asked before to show is with a pin. His response was because i had been talking on the phone prior to the purchase ( i had stopped by the way) i could have been coached while on the phone. Really?! I felt so hurt and humiliated. As someone who thought publix was a wonderful store will never spend another dime at that store!! read more

Best customer service ever! I come shop here at least 3 times per week. Today, I was a total airhead and left behind a couple bags of groceries after paying for them...totally my fault, absolute blonde moment. Anyway, I realized several hours later when I went to make my husband a sandwich that I was missing deli meat/cheese and a bunch of other items I was certain I bought (and had a receipt for)...I searched my car and fridge and couldn't find them anywhere. So I called and talked to Joe, the manager, on the phone and he trusted me and told me to just come and get the missing items and he wouldn't charge me for them. That was so unbelievably nice! They really take care of their people...even the ones who are total space cadets like me! Haha read more

9-17-2020 Try not to shop here, but sometimes it's unavoidable. Their old manager, though not a "whiz bang," at least understood the basic concept of keeping shelves stocked. Unless Publix corporate had tied the new manager's hands, the new manager couldn't find his rear with both hands. Examples: No tomato juice except store brand, toilet paper (everybody else had it and the COVID-19 hoarding is pretty much over), shelves loaded with sugar laden soft drinks, no diet drinks (sugar drinks takin up ALL the space), holes on shelves where brand name items should be and aren't, but Publix brands readily available. Perhaps I'm wrong, but there's obviously more bottom line profit for Publix to sell their own merchandise than the brand names.., I sincerely believe Publix is manipulating their stock to increase their profits and trying to blame Covid on the shortages. Overall, I like Publix and usually don't experience any issues with them. This review is strictly for the flower department on my more recent visit. I was having a birthday party for my 1 year old child and ordered some balloons online. I needed to get them inflated before the birthday party, so I called ahead and asked them for pricing. The person on the phone told me each balloon would be 99 cents each, which was more expensive than what Kroger had told me. But since I had ordered my cake from Publix, I figured I might as well just make one trip. So I brought my 3 regular sized balloons and 1 medium sized one. When I got there though, the lady told me it would be $3 for the small balloons and $5 for the larger one. I was shocked at those prices. I told her that I had just called on the phone about 5 minutes earlier and they told me it would be 99 cents each. She seemed to not believe me, but said she would reluctantly lower it to $1 for the small balloons and $3 for the larger one. She printed out the price tag from her cash register and it showed $8. So I very politely asked her if there was a mistake. She gave me a really dirty look as if I was trying to rob them on the spot. I tried to explain the math to her, and her response was to threaten me with, "Go ahead, keep asking and I'll price it back to $13" (which also was wrong math). I did not feel like fighting her over a few bucks and we were trying to get to my son's birthday party to set up. So I politely thanked her for her "generosity" and left. But honestly, I was very disappointed. All I wanted was for her to either explain how she came up with $8, or price it the way she told me. And all I got in return were death stares and threats. I'm happy to give Publix my business, but maybe just be kind to your customers? Just a thought. read more

4 visits in a row this store is out of milk and yogurt. How does a grocery store run out of milk? It's hard to sell a product if you don't have it. The manager said the system tells them how many to order. That number is obviously wrong!!!! He said it was on the delivery truck so I would need to wait a few minutes, but after 10 minutes he came back and said the milk wasn't on the truck. I spend $600 per month at this location and I'll never be back. read more

I couldn't find a particular brand of chicken pot pie last night and mentioned it to the bagger when I was checking out. He and Eric (I think he's a manager) sprinted off to find what I was looking for and came back with his arm full of different styles of the same brand of pot pie. They were so helpful! I haven't been to a Publix I didn't like but in east cobb this one stands out. The employees from the manager to the baggers go out of their way. And not just here and there but every day. Prices and the items they carry are great. I was even able to order a whole pig from the butcher. What! That's right a whole pig! Either way check this one out if you live in this area read more

While this Publix location is clean and conveniently-located, I have decided to start shopping elsewhere. I always leave displeased with the service at the deli counter. Whenever I get sliced lunch meat, I consistently encounter blatant rudeness and slow service. Every time, I have to repeat my order no less than three times because the employee slicing my meat did not listen. The service is incredibly slow and they are extremely pushy with samples of meat. On my most recent visit, there was only one person ahead of me and I had to wait for at least ten minutes (and that customer was only getting one item). Meanwhile, there were 3 employees behind the counter. One employee working the counter was very disrespectful. There is just no reason for that. This is the only Publix location where I have experienced poor service. read more

I do not frequent this Publix very much, but when I'm at work and want to stop in to grab something for lunch, this is the one I go to (even though there is another location that is a little closer). Why, do you ask? Because.. they have a secret. A secret menu item! That's right, folks, you heard (read) right! If you walk over to the sub station, ask for the Mojo Pulled Pork. It's nowhere on the menu, and the submaker will smile at you, as if you're sharing this little secret, and come back with absolutely mouthwatering delicousness! I can't say enough good things about this place. It's always clean, well-stocked, and well lit. The selection of goods is what you'd expect from most stores but sometimes they add in that little extra. If they don't have it I'll try their best to get it for you. The service is always good whenever you need help, and people don't pester you while you shop. I cannot say enough good things about the deli and bakery. They always have what we need, and spreads very well stock price and the turnaround time is very quick. read more

I agree with a lot of the stock issue comments. Why are so many things out of stock at Publix, E. Piedmont, but available at the Johnson Ferry store or others stores such as Walmart and Krogers? It's not always the same thing. I've noticed a lot of time the Light Ocean Spray Juice blends are out of stock. 1/2 gallon Fat free Milk is extremely low or nonexistent. I have diabetics in my family so they need the light or diet drinks. We've been drinking Fat Free milk for 50+ years. I don't believe this has anything to do with the Pandemic or available stock IF other local Publix stores and other grocery stores can get these items. At this rate I will start shopping at Publix on Johnson Ferry, Walmart and Kroger's. I like the some of the staff, but it's frustrating to go shopping only to find the items I always purchased before are now constantly OUT OF STOCK. I brought two sushi rolls for lunch yesterday. I have always had very good sushi from the Piedmont Commons Publix. There is a sweet woman who makes the sushi, but today it was a different experience. Another sushi maker was there, and the rolls were horrible! The rice tasted bland and not fresh. The avocado in the crunchy rolls was not ripe, and the spicy tuna had more hard-packed rice than tuna. So disappointing, especially paying $6.99 per roll for sub-par sushi rolls. I won't be back. read more

There is a Publix literally an 1/8th of a mile from my work, but I go out of my way on my lunch break to visit this one instead - apx. 4 mile drive. Their sushi is always super fresh and the perfect thing for me to have at lunch time. They have a huge selection of GF products, and I can always find what I need there. The store is super clean, and they have SELF CHECK OUT! Awesome! read more
