I was craving for a doughnut so i went to Krispy Kreme on Aurora at 5pm. Mind you, the drive thru is open from 5-11pm. I ordered a dozen original glazed doughnut and she took my order, paused and said I am sorry we ran out of that..then i asked for something else and they ran out of it and this happened a couple of times, frustrated, my wife said, can you please tell us what you have? out of 12 different options, they only have 2 kinds of doughnuts left. I mean, with 6 more to go before you close, it would make sense to bake for your customers than lose business. I can never resist the warm, straight off the line original glazed doughnuts. They are my weakness and I feel like I could eat a dozen of them, but it don't. I have no idea how they make them so light and fluffy and gooey at the same time. Taste wise, I feel like other doughnut places are better, such as Top Pot, especially for anything other than the original glazed. My kids came home from college both craving donuts! We decided to hit the Shoreline Krispy Kreme over the holidays and they never disappoint. With lots of friends and family planning to visit, we decided to grab 2 dozen: 1 classic, 1 assorted. The staff at the drive thru was so nice, extremely happy and friendly. Some of the best fast food service that I've seen lately. Thank you Krispy Kreme for your holiday joy! If I'm being overly critical, the classic seemed a little different than usual, maybe thinner (see photo), but same taste. I received an email from Krispy Kreme about their birthday special: Buy any dozen and get a dozen of original glazed free. I usually go to the Issaquah location but Aurora location is closer so I went there for the first time. The app kept crashing so I just went to the drive thru. To my surprise the line wasn't too long. I ordered a dozen of customized selection, a dozen of original glazed, and 1/2 dozen of original glazed and mentioned the birthday special. The person who took my order said I had to get a dozen of original glazed in order to get another dozen of original glazed for free. I didn't want to hold up the line so I preceded to the window and showed the employee the screenshot showing "buy any dozen to get the original dozen for free" and she just dismissed it saying they don't do that. She said it get the glazed dozen at half price since I got a non-glazed dozen. I thought to myself....What? Are you serious? It's your company's birthday and they have a promotion but you're not honoring that? I wasn't happy with her rudeness but I just paid for the order and left. Apparently, other locations across America don't even know about the birthday promotion. I read the complaints via Facebook and Twitter. Anyway, I sent an email to krispy.kreme@casupport.com and they assigned a case number and asked me to send them the receipt details. I sent the details on July 19th and I have yet to hear from them. I'm disappointed with their customer service and lack of training their stores and employees on company birthday specials. We popped by on National Donut Day to sample a free donut and were greeted warmly by the young staff member, offered our pick of donut from the mostly full case, and sent away with a smile. Krispy kreme has the best original glazed donuts because they're so soft and are the only ones available fresh when the neon light outside lights up (i didn't even know the light was a thing until today because the numerous times I went to the Issaquah location a few years back, i always got fresh donuts). This is why other donuts besides that type taste unpleasant because they are straight up cold and stale. The og glaze is like a small gentle mush and melts in the mouthyt, only complaint is that it's a little greasy. Idk if the strawberry sprinkle donut here is overly sweet but the coldness of it just made it taste not very good. Same with the traditional cake donut. The whole interior atmosphere is cold- lighting is dim, classroom-like chairs, cold hard couches, temperature isn't warm, and the lady working seemed like she hated working there. read more

Listen, I get it, It is 2021 and no one seems to want to work or have a job thus everything is understaffed. I have a pretty decent amount of patience. I decided on a whim to drive down to get some doughy goodness. I am a fan of the non "traditional" doughnuts. Drive up, of course it was busy, I figured that it would be. Always tried to avoid this Krispy Kreme but decided to go and give it another shot. Drive-through worker was rude and had his AirPods in his ear. There was at least 4 just standing around doing what looked like nothing. They were out of most of the donuts that I asked for so I was forced to choose from what they had left over (they prob should have been making donuts not on their phones) About 4 out of our dozen of donuts had plastic silicone pieces in them. No one ever answers the phone. I'm really curious when corporate is going to shut this store down or at the very least do a total Rehaul of employees because this is not only unsafe with the silicone pieces inside of our food, but a horrible customer service experience. read more

I was looking forward to trying out the Key Lime Pie & Oreo donut but they didn't have it available. In fact, they had very few donuts available. The cashier was probably dealing with questions about the lack of donuts all day because he was very quick to go through the whole "we had 8 people call out today", etc. All I asked was if you had more donuts because it was a little after noon and you're open until 10:00PM, so I figured more would be made throughout the day. So I did end up getting a donut but not what I wanted at all. Disappointed. I came back a few days later to spend the rest of my gift card and the lobby was locked so I had to go through the drive through. I asked, "do you have all of the donuts available?" The cashier said "no" so I said "then which ones do you have?" and so I just started asking one by one of the one I wanted was available, which most were not. Midway through my order, the cashier says "hold on a sec" and starts helping someone who walked up to the window! What?! I'm in line, placing my order, and you disappear on me to help someone else who essentially cuts in line? Very unprofessional. Unfortunately I have $2 left on my gift card; hopefully I can't get a donut I actually want but I doubt that. The hours are not consistent. They are already shorter than most stores and they often aren't open on time and close early.

I don't go to Krispy Kreme often but when I do, I always have gotten amazing donuts. Sometimes they get low or might be out of one or two types, but most of the time they're stocked up with lots to choose from. My friend and I recently went to get the pumpkin spice original glazed because they were available for only that day. They were wonderful and made me excited for fall. I also got some creme filled glazed which are always a hit with my husband. I know they're a little smaller than most donuts but I do think these have a flavor that hasn't been replicated by anywhere else in the area. I can't say for sure because it has been a while, but if you don't mind waiting until later and aren't too picky, they used to do half price dozens an hour before closing. They're best when you can get them warm but, for some reason only known to the carb & sugar gods, I never seem to be able to get my hands on them right as they come off the line. Most of the donuts were really stale, two of them had spoiled cream on the inside. When I went to talk to the manager to give them a heads up that the donuts they gave me were spoiled so they don't give them to anyone else, he seemed completely indifferent, didn't offer to replace them, and didn't even apologize. The business hours need to be updated when you call their number and on their yelp page. They don't open until 8 am now. The only reason why I'm giving them a 5 star is because of a sweet woman named Almira (I believe that's her name). I placed on online order the day before to pick up at 6:15 am and was surprised to see they were closed when I arrived. I called the store twice and finally got a hold of Almira and she said she would take care of my order since I wouldn't be able to come back at 8 am due to work. I hate to admit that I've been to Krispy Kreme more times than I should in the past few weeks. Maybe it's the weather, maybe it's stress, I'm not sure what's triggering my new sweet tooth but recently, I re-discovered my love for Krispy Kreme's original glazed donut. While I've never really been into donuts, KK original glazed donut has a special place in my heart and I'll take that any time over Top Pot, Mighty-O and other premium donuts... Actually, I do like the Doughnut Plant in NYC, but that's 2,800 miles away. Aside from the original glazed donut that will likely land me in "My 600-lb Life" on TLC one day, I also like the strawberry glazed donuts and the Seahawks sprinkles donuts. My boyfriend likes the raspberry filled and double chocolate donuts (the double chocolate has both white and dark chocolate frosting, and chocolate filling), but he said the cream and custard filled donuts are not as good. The people working here always seem genuinely friendly and helpful, and they keep the place sparkling clean, never a crumb in sight. I'm not too crazy with donuts but I do love Krispy Kreme's glazed donuts, especially when they're fresh off the conveyor belt. Other than that, I don't care much for their other flavors, although I will get a chocolate frosted one if someone brought an assorted box to work. I did try a chocolate cheesecake donut once, which barely had any cheesecake filling and tasted nothing special. What I love to come here for is their soft serve. I think they serve one of the best soft serves in the city. Its creamy, rich and they're generous with the portion. According to the menu, they have chocolate dipped cones but the last time I was here, they didn't bother turning on the machine to prep the dip. I was pleasantly surprised to see the works inside this Krispy Kreme. It's always interesting to watch how yout food is made. To see it all with converyor belts, deep fryers and all the equipment made it more interesting. Unfortunately, it was night time so the gears were not full speed. This is still cool to watch. Tried the Valentine's donuts there. OMG they were good, especially the "Strawberries and Cream" one. Also got to watch their donut machine making the regular donuts. So cool! I tried them hot and fresh, and they were amazing! I could have eaten a whole dozen! There was an older manager on duty who went out of his way to make sure I had a memorable experience after I told him I hadn't had Krispy Kreme before, and now I'm in a sugar coma grinning from ear to ear. Four stars over-all, five stars for anything fresh off the line and three stars for everything else. Wait for the red light and get fresh glazed donuts then eat them fast. I found out that this location makes their fritters fresh at around 7pm each day (7-7:30). I was never a fan of fritters until I ate a fresh one WOW!! My favorite was the blueberry but now they have apple and banana, I hope blueberry comes back! They also make a plain cake donut around this time also.
