But honestly, something about how soft and frest tasting KKD is makes you want to just eat them all even if you wouldn't normally. I enjoy the fast service, fresh donuts, and quality. I appreciate their customer service here because they're really nice and helpful. Redlight deals are from 5-7PM I believe, which is 2 dozen for 13.99. 2 dollars more for a variety box. I love Krispy Kremes because their doughnuts are so fresh; admittedly after a few hours they taste pretty much like everyone elses, but if you eat them within a few minutes of buying them there is nothing even comparable since they are constantly pumping out new doughnuts assembly-line style (literally) as opposed to most shops which make the doughnuts early in the morning such that they're stale by evening. Also, you get a free hot doughnut right off the line when you go inside, plus you get to see the mass production of the doughnuts in action, which is interesting. So good! read more

I will start by saying I'm not really a fan of donuts. My friends thought Krispy Kreme would be the one who converts me. Sadly, it was not. It was a chilly Seattle night when 5 friends in a car were hungry for dessert. Before you knew it, we were headed to Krispy Kreme, the only place open late in Seattle practically. Apparently, getting the donuts when they are fresh and hot out of the oven is a life changing experience but I did not get to experience it. This place had 1 hour before closing and all the tables and chairs were flipped. The donuts were cold and not the life changing experience I was promised. I will say, this was my first time having Krispy Kremes as I'm from NYC and we don't have many locations but very sadly, this will be my last time eating Krispy Kremes as well. This is one of those places you only should only patronize once or at the most twice a year. I would think that a place like this is great except for the culture within which we live that makes it seem normal and acceptable to indulge in this kind of thing all the time. On the rare occasions that I come here I can usually only stomach about two doughnuts. I start with an Original and then have a chocolate-topped, "Kreme-filled" one. I am usually barely able to finish. Like other reviewers my buts are a little crampy for awhile afterwards. I give this place three stars because I have seen some crusty hellholes that call themselves doughnut shops and this place is impeccably clean (the tiles shine), the staff is nice, and if you must eat this type of food this would be the establishment for it. JR is absolutely amazing! He has 'attitude' and is comedic and likes having a good time. This is the second time we've been here after 9pm and he always makes us laugh, he is absolutely great. The donuts are run of the mill Krispie Kreme but JR makes it all worth it, he is hands down THE best cashier at any food establishment I've ever been too! I use to love Krispy Kreme as a kid, my grandma would take us whenever we craved doughnuts! This particular Krispy Kreme is not my favorite location - that's the only reason it's receiving 3 stars. The food: It's Krispy Kreme, pretty standard throughout the entire chain. Light, airy doughnuts. The decor/vibe: it's like every other chain restaurant they have except with a lot more grimy looking people. I don't know if it's because of the spot in town they are located or if it's because of the bus stop right out front... but almost every customer looks like a tweaker, smells like piss, and is utterly rude and inconsiderate. So it brings the whole vibe of the doughnut shop way down. The service: I always get a chocolate cake doughnut, it's like a Ding Dong but more glorified and delicious tasting. When I order at the drive threw, I have to explain my doughnut before hand because it's NEVER on the actual menu and if I don't explain it they give me a different doughnut then get mad at me for not knowing the actual name of the one I really wanted. Bruh, if it was on the menu I would know it okay? But it's not on your menu and every time I go there y'all tell me it's going to change soon and guess what, it's been 8 months and it still hasn't changed. So quit getting mad at me! The staff will literally get upset with me for not knowing so I always have to go in to physically point to the doughnut I want just to avoid that entire encounter. I know that's a personal thing, but hey, it's happened so many times I'm just so annoyed at this point. Especially because the staff should never get annoyed with the customer due to their lack of menu updating! So frustrating! Overall: Y'all only get three stars because of my service portion. Employees are tactless, disrespectful young men and women. They need customer service training and should be taught the importance of it before being offered a job in the service industry. I ordered at the drive thru and I could hear in the persons tone of voice at the start of ordering that they were dry and irritated. They asked to repeat the order and I did.....slooooowly. As I approach the window to pay two employees are there one taking the payment and the other asking me if I gave them attitude at the drive thru speaker. I was with my girl friend and we were having a dull moment, so we randomly chose to go through the Krispy Kreme Drive thru. There are better places to spend your money. Recently I went through the drive through. Asked for half a dozen glazed cream filled doughnuts. What I heard on the intercom "Oh my God". What? I was so excited to hear that Krispy Cream was handing free doughnuts for health care workers with proof of ID or name tag. I stop by the seattle location on Aurora, show them not one but three identification. They still would not take it because it did not spell out my title which was abbreviated, I even show her my state license that spelled out my title and still was denied! I got really upset and embarrassed to keep people behind me waiting so paid for the doughnuts and left. I'm a dedicated CNA/ nursing assistant the frontline of patient care and working alongside nurses to help care for our love ones in this hard time. I'm dumbfounded that my title doesn't deserve to be up there with the first responder or with in the healthcare field. Who knew Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are still around? This particular location is situated at the Northwest corner of Aurora Ave. (a.k.a. 99) and 125th St, across from the Lowes. It is highly advised to enter the parking lot of this donut shop from 125th St. instead of Aurora Ave. since the speed of cars driving on Aurora tend to be in excess of 45 miles per hour and the turn into the lot is extremely tight from Aurora. The parking is dilapidated and the yellow lines demarcating individual spots have faded away. Inside, there were no hot donuts being made as their viewable conveyor belt system for making donuts is under maintenance. I bought two original glazed for $1.25 each (total of $2.50) and they did not live to expectations at all. The donuts tasted like they were made three days ago and left a bad after-taste in my mouth of stale oil. They were so bad that come dinner time, I was still not hungry. read more

Went to the drive-through at the Krispy Kreme on 99 ordered cream filled, looked in the box saw the donuts with the cream stripes (basically a cream filled is the original with a couple cream stripes on it and then filled with cream) when I got home I had one and found out there was no cream in the donuts. Ordering cream filled are more expensive than just the original but I basically got original that they made look like cream filled. I emailed Krispy Kreme and never heard anything back. Love the stuffing out of this place: Yes, I like a doughnut once and a blue moon. A doughnut with filling, raspberry filling, packed like a steamer trunk with raspberry filling. But I want it done right and with consistency every time. I've been to lots of doughnut shops including Winchell's where I used to hang out when there was one on Queen Anne Hill back in the 70s. (excuse me, scratching knees). Those were good doughnuts but they weren't Krispy Kreme. Krispy Kreme is not a doughnut shop for creatures of habit who think nothing could change there mind about there personal favorite doughnut shop. "There's no way KK could possibly be better than Seldom Burned Doughnuts! I mean c'mon, they use real lard in theirs!" But I'm here and it is my mission in life to tell you wonderful people that Krispy Kreme knows the secret to making er...uh...nonfat (yeah, that's it) outstanding doughnuts (well, the outstanding part is true). What to drink? KK has a variety of beverages including regular and espresso coffee. The stores are kept clean, they have a neat retro art-deco look to them and there is plenty of seating. Now, If you want something quick and decadent, do as I do and get a Trophy cupcake or two but if you're in the mood for the ultimate in doughnuts at a great price, Krispy Kreme, (and no other), is where you want to go. Going here at 5:30 am is a trip in itself. I bring donuts into work about once a month. I start my day early, hence the early morning venture. The staff are nice and cheery and offer you a sample as soon as you get on over to the counter. The aroma of freshly made donuts hits you, and you can't help but savor the aroma. I usually get 3 dozen glazed, and 1 mixed if I feel like it. They usually have boxes of them ready to go by the conveyor belt. I walk out happy with my donuts. Well the trip part of my trip is walking out to see some Aurora Ladies of the Night coming in to get their morning sugar rush, and also some thuggish looking dudes. Hey they all gotta eat after a long night, of whatever the hell they're doing. I even had one Lady of the Night as me for a ride. Okay, I have never been into a Krispy Kreme location before. I have had the donuts before and I always thought that they were grand. I decided to go in to this location to get myself a couple of donuts and a cup of coffee and this is what happened. First, I was one of three people in the location and stood in line for five minutes because they did not have enough change for this customer to get a couple of donuts with her $50 bill. I finally got helped with my order. The lady working there was nice and could see the excitement/confusion on my face. The lady could tell I've never been here before. The first thing she said was "there not fresh you should've got here this morning", it's 1:44 PM at the time. I said well will it still be good she said yeah they'll be pretty good but if you want them to melt in your mouth you should've got here this morning. I said okay got two donuts and a small cup of coffee. Second, she slid my coffee over to me when I went to pick it up the top flew off and spilled coffee, hot coffee all over my hand in the counter the lid was not on. Third and lastly I asked for the code to get into the bathroom because I needed to wash the coffee off of my hands, she gave me the code, I went to the door opened it up and their set a gentleman taking a dump looking at me like I was the biggest creep in the world I turned around as he yelled at me like I did it on purpose. As I walked out of the establishment I heard the lady say oops, there was someone in there and giggled to her friend. Cant beat the doughnuts that have been around for ages. Prices are decent, staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. Even have little hats for the kids and even during any time of the year special doughnuts for the holiday season.
