Honestly stopping here is a guilty pleasure of mine. If I'm in town and the hot sign is on, I have to go. The staff here is always so pleasant when I visit. Good customer service goes such a long way nowadays, so I definitely wanted to point this out. They always have cute decorated seasonal doughnuts on display. I usually just get the original glazed doughnuts though, and they never miss. Also for my dairy-free folks: They now offer oat milk for their coffee drinks! I was both shocked and excited when I saw this, so be sure to ask for oat milk in your coffee or hot/iced latte if you can't drink whole milk. Nothing better than coffee and donuts in my opinion. I have been to this location multiple times now and love it! It is located really close to campus in a very convenient spot. They are also open 24/7, which is super nice! There isn't a ton of parking though, so keep that in mind during busier times. They serve the traditional Krispy Kreme selection of donuts and offer the seasonal flavors when they are available. The staff is pretty nice and the service is efficient. The shop is kept fairly clean, but could be cleaner. I will say this location does have an "outdated" feel to it, but I think it makes the vibe more authentic to the area. Overall, this is a great Krispy Kreme location. They do get a lot of traffic, so in order to get the donuts you desire, I recommend going earlier in the day. I have been here several times late at night and they definitely do not have the same selection as they do during the day. Way down in Gainesville Florida you'll find this great college area donut shop which can give you a lot of delight, especially if you're a college student looking for some crazy sweet snacks, and I have to admit they're pretty amazing when they're hot. As we walk in, there are many customers with their eyes almost as glazed as the donuts while trying to pick their favorite. My husband gets a selection of filled, drizzled, decorated and chocolate covered. My son gets the sprinkled and I get the original glazed. These are raised donuts, and when fresh are little pillows of sweet love. Much better than dry cake donuts that some other places offer. You can get cake donuts here as well, if you are so inclined. But, I recommend going with the raised fluffy sugar bombs. When the sign is glowing red, the donuts are fresh. I have never received a donut from this location that was not perfect, so they are always fresh to me. My Mom could take down a dozen of these in day. I made the mistake of just purchasing a half dozen chocolate glazed and they were gone in like five minutes. I only got one, and it made me sad. I live in Lake City, about 40 minutes from Gainesville. The only time I can make it to the KK store is when I have a doctor referral visit. Unless you're a local or family owned establishment with your own innovative idea. Krispy Kreme as a franchise dominates the glazed donut industry. The idea of serving donuts fresh and hot off the machine is ingenious and it attracts plethora of customers. Sometimes as I drive by and I don't even want a donut, but the sign turns on and it creates the most intense temptation. I've never truly explored the other options other than hot n' ready glazed.
