Honestly stopping here is a guilty pleasure of mine. If I'm in town and the hot sign is on, I have to go. The staff here is always so pleasant when I visit. Good customer service goes such a long way nowadays, so I definitely wanted to point this out. They always have cute decorated seasonal doughnuts on display. I usually just get the original glazed doughnuts though, and they never miss. Also for my dairy-free folks: They now offer oat milk for their coffee drinks! I have been to this location multiple times now and love it! It is located really close to campus in a very convenient spot. They are also open 24/7, which is super nice! There isn't a ton of parking though, so keep that in mind during busier times. They serve the traditional Krispy Kreme selection of donuts and offer the seasonal flavors when they are available. The staff is pretty nice and the service is efficient. The shop is kept fairly clean, but could be cleaner. I will say this location does have an "outdated" feel to it, but I think it makes the vibe more authentic to the area. Overall, this is a great Krispy Kreme location. They do get a lot of traffic, so in order to get the donuts you desire, I recommend going earlier in the day. I have been here several times late at night and they definitely do not have the same selection as they do during the day. These are raised donuts, and when fresh are little pillows of sweet love. Much better than dry cake donuts that some other places offer. You can get cake donuts here as well, if you are so inclined. But, I recommend going with the raised fluffy sugar bombs. When the sign is glowing red, the donuts are fresh. I have never received a donut from this location that was not perfect, so they are always fresh to me. My Mom could take down a dozen of these in day. I made the mistake of just purchasing a half dozen chocolate glazed and they were gone in like five minutes. I only got one, and it made me sad. Unless you're a local or family owned establishment with your own innovative idea. Krispy Kreme as a franchise dominates the glazed donut industry. The only real purpose of any Krispy Kreme shop is to sell doughnuts, especially the classic glazed ones the company has built its repute upon over many years. Located not far from the UF campus on 13th Street, this Krispy Kreme is open 24/7 and often has fresh doughnuts availible. Should yours not be hot and fresh, here's a trick: put your doughnut in the microwave for about ten seconds prior to eating it and it will taste soooooo good. I am all for healthy food, all for growing things local and eating local and slow foods and all that BUT you've just gotta love Krispy Kreme nonetheless. This location is an older one, and the buidling is designed in the classic doo-wop 1950s Krispy Kreme style with the giant neon sign and all. It's a fun place and the staff is nice enough, though I agree they could perhaps keep things a bit cleaner. Krispy Kreme! What's not great to say about Krispy Kreme. Was driving home from work tonight and the Hot and Fresh sign was on! Seriously that is all it took. I pulled into the parking lot and jumped out like my car was on fire. You never know who you'll run into there. There were some cool old folks from Canada ordering hot fresh glazed donuts then devoured them right there at the counter. They were followed buy two young students from UF who bought a dozen and a container of milk to tear up sitting right there at at table. Krispy Kreme. It's a simple pleasure.
