Always fun! Love the red light that means they're cooking hot doughnuts. Perfect staff and very friendly. One star off for price. $23 for 12 doughnuts seem a bit high when the original ones are pillow soft and almost deliciously melt in your mouth!

Other than there always being a line and service never being quick whether you go in or do the drive through... it's delicious! We decided to order these holiday/seasonal donuts just because we loved the coloring. Nothing specially, just fun decorations!

We stopped by for the churro doughnuts and now I remember why I don't eat Krispy Kreme. The frosting is crisco more than anything else and not impressed with the dough; it's not very churro dough at all. The other doughnuts are frosting sugar heavy to hide the dough quality. Stars for the employees only who were busy but still polite and happy to help you!

The pumpkin spice flavors are delicious and service was pretty quick although they were really busy. We did get a couple glazed donuts but they were dry and not very fresh.

Walked in during the "hot lamp" and got a free glazed! Amazing! Service was quick, it was very early on a Monday so before the work rush. Nice music playing and the staff were very friendly and kind. Great ambiance. No idea why this place gets low reviews - just be patient! Love it here.

Krispy Kreme is not my favorite donut place. And honestly, donuts are not my usual thing. Give me an almond croissant and I am one happy girl. But I am on somewhat of a maple kick lately and a few weeks ago they had special maple donuts, either maple glazed regular or a maple glazed cake version. There might have been a filled one ( I do not remember , tbh I don't enjoy filled donuts). My minion whipped through the drive through and got us a dozen, six of each. The kid was nice. Donuts are expensive! $17?? ouch. They were satisfyingly maple though. My teen was very happy. Me too. I approve. Maybe we will return in a couple years.

I try to rarely go here but I have stepped inside this shop maybe once ever... I do believe that they still hand you a sample donut while you think about how much you are going to order. That is what your crack dealer also does...which is fair... Get you high on sugar to the point where you need it all! This is not done in the drive through but that's ok - I can make slightly better choices?!? I do not drink coffee so I have nothing to contribute to that but they do have other options... I do pop through on occasion to try out their latest donut(s) and maybe get a few standard ones... Can I just say that every time I go through the drive through the folks are not just kind but REALLY friendly, cheerful and a pleasure to be around...unlike some of their customers! Yeah, be careful in that drive through - I once was the only car at first, drove right up to the window after ordering which took hardly any time yet this psycho in a house sized truck was revving his engine and fisting his horn. I hope he got to his heart attack on time! With that said - they are usually pretty fast. They do get sold out of things so if you want something special you might want to go earlier day. I do miss a donut they had for awhile but I haven't seen in years - it was like a Hostess chocolate cupcake...including the whipped cream center. The latest one I recently tried that was pretty awesome was the Reeses... The cinnamon roll donuts are worth trying but were not a favorite. Their signature glazed is amazing but this is that treat you grab when you want to climb the walls for a few hours.

I went bright an early and was the second person in line. I was so happy to see the red sign meaning the original donuts were fresh and hot! I went to get my free donut since the year is coming to an end and I also got a small coffee with 2 splashes of cream. The person who served me was nice. I let him scan my code and asked me to look away as the light could be very bright. He was kind even though it was so early in the day haha. The donut was def fresh and soft. It was delicious. Haven't had a hot donut in awhile which makes a HUGE difference in my opinion! As for the coffee, it was okay. Not the best but not the worse that I've had :)

This is usually my go to when I have large orders for work because they make the process so easy online and I am able to set a designated pickup time. Their donuts are consistent every time and everyone enjoys the variety. Yes, they are overly sweet in some varieties but they're donuts! I wish they would offer some of their original and cake donuts in an unglazed form to cut the sweetness.

I have been looking for a decent breakfast/brunch place close by but so far no luck there. I am still recovering from renal failure so my mobility is severely limited. I travel mostly at the pleasure of the Veterans Transportation Service or Trimet Lyft. Today's Dr appointment finished up sooner than expected so I had some time to kill before the van returned to take me home. So I fired up my tablet and took a look on Yelp to see if there was anything of interest close by. Enter Insomnia Coffee. Lots of positive reviews. Right around the corner. So... off I go. I an a US Navy brownwater sailor. We drink coffee that tastes like coffee. No additives. None. Not even cream or (gasp) sugar. So when I told the barista [HA! The person who pours coffee into a cup] that i wanted a cup of coffee black I got this sort of deer in the headlights look. What? ...I'm sure she was thinking... no Madagascar cinnamon? no foaming goop? no stale crouton crumbs? no pumpkin pie spice? Ummmm seriously? People want their coffee to taste like pumpkin? Yikes. No Miss... just a cuppa Joe. Just like my first heart throb, Anna Mae Bullock....strong and black. And I have to say, insomnia delivered. Not a bad cup of coffee at all. Although I didn't really want to hang out there since it appeared that I had zero in common with anyone I saw there... hogging the comfortable looking chairs. So I had it in a paper cup, to go. Now I have a "thing" about drinking coffee from a large, ceramic mug.... I loathe tasting paper in my coffee and yes I can tell it's in a paper cup even blindfolded. but I digress. They did have a whole display area of decadent looking pastries and not the tiny, overpriced, bogus looking stuff you see at Starbucks. Not that i would ever go into a Starbucks even to use the rest room. They had several pies that made my mouth water and some gooey breakfast glazed things that would have seriously spiked my glucose. so I reluctantly passed. Perhaps next time :)

Art lines the walls, all for sale, giving the space personality without noise. My wife and I sat for hours talking, totally undisturbed and comfortable. Outside parking is tricky, but once you're in, you'll forget all about that. Coffee-wise, the Mayan Mocha stole the show: Creamy, chocolatey, then BOOM!: HEAT! Honestly, like a spicy margarita's classy cousin living in a latte world. And that little burn in the back of the throat is the perfect touch. Plus, the espresso had great flavor even without the fancy soda-water ritual. Although I still don't know what that water is for... I just pretend I do! Really: I'd order both drinks again without hesitation. Right behind the coffee, though, the service wins everything. I asked for help fixing my loose wedding band, and she went into hero mode. Tijeras, cutter, whatever she found, she brought it with a smile. A human kindness like that makes a place unforgettable. ( )

What I wasn't fine with was waiting over 30 minutes for a single drink. There were 5 or 6 people behind the bar, so I expected reasonably paced service. Instead, the whole place seemed to be running in slow motion. Maybe they were still recovering from an early rush ( I was there around 10am), but it showed. Our order got messed up, we had to remind the baristas what we'd ordered, and the energy from the staff was pretty cold throughout. The final straw: our drink was presumably forgotten. Multiple people who ordered after us got their drinks first. I eventually had to walk up to the bar, point behind the counter, and explain that we'd been waiting and my mom was sitting in the car. For a lot of people, going out for coffee is a treat; It certainly is for me as a student. When you're spending that money, you'd hope for at least decent service. Unfortunately, this visit was the opposite of that expectation.

I'm not sure if they only make them on Saturday's or if Saturday is the day they have the most vegan options, but whatever. Anyways, I got there maybe 45 minutes before closing but they had already sold out. Disappointed I missed out, I headed a ways down the street near the QFC to see if the frozen yogurt shop I once went to there might have some non-dairy flavors. When I walked in to Cup & Cone I realized it was not a frozen yogurt shop anymore (I didn't remember the name of the old shop so I didn't realize it was gone). I was glad to see that there were some vegan flavors available, though. Nothing took my fancy (the person working said the chocolate frosting flavor was more dark and less sweet, so not my style) until I saw the vegan soft serve option on one of the signs! Vegan soft serve is non-existent outside of Portland, or so I thought. I now know where I will be going on hot days when I would kill for a cone. The ice cream is delicious and unique from a previous version of vegan soft serve I've had (RIP Food Fight soft serve, I will always miss you). A vegan soft serve cone here will cost you $6 (or I think $7.50 if you also need a vegan cone) but it's so worth it even just as an occasional treat. You also do get a lot of ice cream I would say. I made the mistake of asking for a regular cone thinking I would get a free sugar cone, but I just got a regular waffle cone. I realized afterwards that they probably don't even serve them in sugar cones because of how much ice cream you get, since sugar cones are pretty small. I know next time to just pay extra for a vegan waffle cone. You also can choose from vanilla, chocolate or swirl (I went for the swirl). I will definitely go back as much as possible! Would be cool in the future to see them get creative with the flavors maybe, and switch them out for a week or so. Please go try the vegan soft serve now, even if you're not vegan! I don't think you could possibly regret it. I was even shocked and almost sure that somehow the flavors weren't vegan, because they tasted even better than regular soft serve ala DQ or McD's.
