Wow...the catfish here is great! Large portions and the seasoning on the cayfish is on point. Fried okra was good and catfish was cooked perfectly..i will be going here weekly now! Happened to drive by on our way to new home in the area, decided to circle back around and give it a try. Glad we did. It'll be my go to place for Catfish. The wife loved their honey mustard chicken, however if you don't want it smothered (which was great) ask for the honey mustard on the side. Small hole in the wall restaurant, owners mother (cooking that night) came out to meet customers and ask about their food. We were really pleased with the meal, taste great, portions large. My brother-in-law wanted good catfish. This was NOT it! After reading multiple reviews and getting a good feeling, I decided to try it. Bad choice...the reviews must be paid for or written by their friends. I ordered the strips for me, my husband and brother-in-law. Expecting to be the size of chicken tenders, I was surprised to see they looked more like the size of a straw. Unfortunately, they were also as tough as a straw. My mother ordered the fillets and said they were not very tender or flavorful. I will be sticking with Lisa's from now on. It is good and about half the price of this place. read more

Stood at the front at the register for 5 min and no one came to the front. I could hear them talking in the kitchen. The door dings when you walk in and they have a sign at the register saying you're on camera; so how did they miss me, I have no idea. I finally just left. I found another catfish place half a mile away on yelp and there was a guy with a beautiful smile at the register ready to take my order as soon as I stepped thru the door. Please please please! If you go here check your card. This company has charged my card for $80 worth of food and then forced me to prove to them I was falsely charged. After 3 months I returned back and was told I could only be approved for $5 on my card.... that doesn't even make sense. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because the food is good but not good enough for me to be cheated out of my money and have to consult my bank for a refund that was wrong on their end. You can ask them to cut your filets into strips at no extra charge if you prefer a more crispy texture. They are somewhat timely as well...it usually takes only 8 minutes for the order. First trip to Kristy Catfish, will not be my last. Although off the beaten path, not great surroundings. The decor is dated, old, reminiscent of a old Kentucky fried chicken, however it is clean. I ordered the number one which is the Catfish strips, my wife ordered the fillet. Both baskets were exceptional. Fried to perfection, the fries were crinkle cut, and served in a basket. We left stuffed with fried Catfish. The lady that took our order was very helpful, actually suggesting to substitute something to save us a dollar or two. I think our Bill was 15 and some change, relatively cheap for the amount of food we ate, plus a drink. One thing my wife liked, she ordered a water and got a regular sized cup instead of the little shot glasses they usually give you. I would recommend this place. read more

I've never been a fan of catfish, mainly because everywhere I've been, it wasn't that good. Happy to say that Krispy Catfish has changed my opinion and has become my point of reference! It also speaks highly that this place gets a lot of business next to what I thought would of been a better choice *cough* SouDaq *cough*. My 1st visit was on a Friday during Lent, went in with a shrimp po'boy on my mind but all the shrimp and bread was sold out, good indication of good food. They hooked it up though, with an extra portions of catfish, chicken, and fries, so I couldn't complain about not getting my Po'boy on. if you ever find yourself in south fort worth looking for a place to eat, might i suggest krispy catfish. the catfish here is the best i've had in all of dfw. not that i'm a big consumer of fried catfish but the few times that i've ordered the dish, this place is my favorite. it's an order at the counter and sit down and wait for them to bring you your food type of place. the staff is "eclectic" but all very nice and helpful. their menu is all fried seafood and they have a ton of different combos to choose from. i normally get the one fillet combo that comes with fries and two corn hushpuppies. i think it's less than $5. read more
