The food came fast actually, maybe 10 minutes of waiting after the time I chose my seat. The food was nice and hot, but everything kind of lacked flavor lol. So I asked for salt and pepper. After that, it was a solid 7. Not a bad place, considering it's 3 minutes from my apartment. But I won't be coming back. Everything was decently priced, I believe I spent less than $25?

I usually like the rice more cooked at the bottom of the pan and this rice was a bit overcooked and mushy for my taste. All the flavors were there though. All the seafood tasted fresh. The plate was full of color. It had mussels and clams, shrimp and fish. My daughter had the braised short rib and mashed potatoes. She said the meat was tender and the mash potatoes were creamy. The star was the dessert. The Brown Butter Cake was so warm, crispy edges and buttery. They topped it with vanilla ice cream that slowly melted on top of the warm cake. The time we had was enjoyable and I would go back again if in the neighborhood.

How am I going to flavor the raw cabbage and lettuce with no sauce? The pad thai was good as well but not as sour as I remembered it. I also got the tom kha which I haven't tried before but it was good, I just wish they removed the inedible bits (I think lemongrass). We've been here another time and I forget if we got the drunken noodle or basil eggplant, but it didn't have the same thai spiced aroma/wok hei flavor that we expected. Overall this spot is still decent and a good price, but unfortunately I think their chef changed or something so we no longer come here often.

We got seated right away and given the menus and water immediately. The employees seemed to be pretty consistent with checking in with tables to make sure they didn't need anything. We ordered the Samosas for appetizer, Chicken Eggplant Curry, Tea Leaf Salad, and Chicken noodles. All of our items were great and had a variety of flavor and tastes. The Eggplant Curry was somewhat spicy but supple with the chicken and eggplant pieces, the Tea Leaf Salad was a good mix of earthy flavors with the tea leave dressing bringing everything together, and the Samosas were just awesome and perfectly completed our meal. We will certainly be back to dine in again in the future!

Took my friend for the first time after we just came from the gym. It was just about closing time but we were greeted with such positive vibes from the employees. They were really patient with us and they helped with any questions she had. At first they didn't have one of the fruits we wanted for our smoothie, but we were able to sub it out and the manager was even kind enough to take off an extra 10 percent off of our entire order. On top of that, once they made our drinks they hooked us up with an extra one on the house! Their protein smoothies and chamangos were amazing and the customer service they gave was above and beyond, especially since I took her for the first time there. Everyday on my way to school, I always make a side trip to this Frutiza and order an Asada torta. For the size of the damn thing, you will definitely get your money's worth. To give you an idea of how filling it is, I always buy one around 10AM and I wont get hungry again until roughly 6PM, I would dare say that half of a torta from this place is just as filling, if not more, than a whole foot long sub from Subway. As a college student that is on a somewhat tight budget and drives a beat up Honda he bought from his uncle (and has to spend money repairing it on a regular basis...) this place is great, its much healthier and provides much better portions for the price than the other local restaurants do. 10 out of 5 stars!!! read more
