Typical diner, good service. Swedish pancakes are worth the trip. The rest is adequate.

this place offers great lunch. I had a cup of chicken gumbo soup and everything in is so fresh. The side salad comes with extreme fresh green lettuce.I rated this place 5 stars due to price and great service. and the room is very cozy.LIKE LIKE LIKE

Strictly average and the food was cold. I've been there twice and both times I had the same experience.

The food was good and fast. The service could have been better. The water glasses were too small and we had to ask for a refill.

We were immediately greeted by the hostess and we mentioned our reservations but that at we also were not ready to take a table but would be at the bar to get us started. The bar was crowded and we strode for our first cocktail. We started with a bourbon and brandy oldfashon but we've certainly had better. We switched over with a Tito and tonic and red wine. The wine list was short and surprisingly all the reds were from the US and only one Riesling from Germany with the balance from the US. Sitting down for dinner had nice ambiance and you could hear the pianist most of the evening. They start you off with quite a relish tray providing liver pate, cheese spread, a imataion crab salad, kidney bean salad, beet salad, and assortment of veggies. We then had salads which had a blend of lettuce. My dressing was a fair blue cheese. I also had the French onion soup which did have a very mild and nicely browned cheese topping. The soup was good with plenty of flavor along with a nice offering of browned onions. For dinner my wife had the 7oz fillet (only size offered) and I had the rack of lamb. Both dinner were enjoyed and the rack of lamb was four double cut pieces that were cooked perfectly. I would recommend this dish. Service was attentive and friendly and overall the patrons who seemed to be a regular clientele, were also friendly and we felt welcomed both at the bar and when seated for dinner. I can say this will be part of our rotation and on Sundays with the German lineup of food, you will find us there for a Sunday meal.

The Heritage House - Part of the great relish tray. I heard it changes but we got Cole slaw, seafood salad, and pickled beets.

I always thought it was fine though not memorable, just your standard buffet, but I've read that they have new owners and I can tell the difference. Now, I can definitely see being a regular here, and coming to check out their other offerings too other than just brunch. Everything I tried was perfectly made, from the prime rib to the eggs benedict (really great!) to the desserts. Even the champagne was excellent! And the service was next level. My brother uses a walker and they gave us a choice of tables (any of them would have worked) and were so helpful in every respect (even accommodating his special request for something that wasn't on the buffet - they have saintly patience!). They were all just so NICE - having just moved back to the midwest from the west coast, I'm still getting used to midwesterner niceness, but even with that everyone here was exceptional. I'm looking forward to coming back not just for brunch, but also bringing friends back for the fish fry, which also sounds great. And for old-fashioneds!

French onion soup was particularly wonderful. Not too salty or overloaded with onions like most places serve it. We both had prime rib. What more can I say than perfectly cooked, tender, seasoned nicely served with creamy horseradish sauce. I had the home made au gratins and she had a baked potato. Both great. Baked potato came with a salted skin which is a nice touch. Brandy Alexander for desert. Dinner comes with hot rolls and a relish tray. Owner Dominic came out to ask about our food and service. Also a great touch. Server Liza was the best. Going back next week to try the duck and osso bucco. Don't sleep on this place it's worth the ride.
