Having just located to the area we were looking for a nice, relaxing dinner spot. We had driven past Crandall's multiple times on our way to Lake Geneva. After looking for some Gluten-Free options Crandall's was listed as an option, plus I love chicken and the boast on their sign "World Famous Broasted Chicken", off to Crandall's we went. We arrived at an odd time in the middle of the afternoon so it was easy parking and no wait to be seated. I already knew I wanted the Chicken, but my lady is Gluten-Free... this is where we ran into an issue. On the Menu there is a Gluten-Free section with only one option, coconut shrimp. Which may be fantastic by my lady doesn't enjoy shrimp. However the waitress was understanding and made some other suggestions on what she can get and what they can substitute to make it Gluten Free. She went above and beyond to accommodate my lady. I did order the chicken, because I'm not Gluten Free and I wanted Chicken. Both meals were fantastic. I loved the Chicken, and it is definitely the best that I've had since moving to the area. My only issue is that it only comes in All you can Eat, but I didn't need that much chicken. In fact I didn't eat all the chicken that came with my first order. The waitress advised that if you get there earlier in the day they do have a two-piece lunch special, but later in the day the only option is all you can eat. We were so full after our meal we weren't able to try any of the pies they had on display. Next time we'll have to try one. Overall Crandall's is a nice little Super Club with good comfort food and a nice rural atmosphere. If you're in the area, its definitely worth checking out. read more

In Hebron, this off the route 47 had the best fried chicken up North available all week. We side track the prime rib Saturday special for the chicken. Will have to try the rest of the huge menu very soon. A must stop from Wisconsin or Illinois. read more

The service was great and our server was always checking on us. The broasted chicken was all you can eat and the price was reasonable. In my opinion this chicken is one of the best tasting I've ever eaten. It was lightly breaded, crunchy, very juicy, and flavorful! The place is rustic, cozy with a farmhouse feel. Great old fashions to start with. Tables rolls included a cinnamon roll for each in our party so good ! Broasted chicken was tender flavorful. All you can east starts with 3 pieces potato's and Cole slaw for 17.99. One had the Rueben and could only finish 1/2. Corned beef was lean and plenty of it ! Those are also all you can eat, mix and match potato. Don't fill up on the rolls, traditional and cinnamon bun style, save room for the chicken!! Broasted is like fried, only healthier! Have driven by this place for years and decided to stop in for lunch. My wife ordered chicken pot pie which was nothing more than a bowl of cream of chicken soup with pie crust over the top. I had the all you can eat broasted chicken and believe me only one piece was all that I could eat. The waitress said it was pressure cooked for 11 minutes, I think it was deep fat fried regardless very dry. The coleslaw was excellent as was the diet pepsi. read more

Crandall's chicken is out of this world. The staff there is very friendly and fast. The decor within the restaurant is so charming. Never had a bad meal there and I have been going 13 years several times a month. The Sunday Buffet is a must try if you haven't been there, but be sure to make reservations. When seated at the table they bring over a basket of hot buns half sweet like cinnamon roll and other savory. We ordered 60 pieces of chicken along with rolls and butter packs for a party over the weekend. They were easy to work with, it was affordable, and best of all the chicken was excellent! It was hot, juicy, and even after two hours of sitting idle at 200degrees still tasted excellent. My husband and I had not been to Crandall's for at least ten years, but I'm happy to report that they are just as good as they ever were. We went for fish fry (my husband) and a steak (me), it was all simply delicious. Now we went about 4:30 pm on Friday night, seated right away. The server was right there with menus and asking about drinks. The food didn't take long, I think the only reason we waited is because I ordered a steak which was cooked perfectly. The place wasn't busy when we first got there, but after we were seated it was hopping. I have always loved the decor in the place because it's so charming, quiet and relaxed. If you're looking for a place that has some delicious food served by a wonderful staff at a decent price then you have found it! Crandalls checks all the boxes and then some! Where to begin? We had dinner AND brunch here (within two days of each other) and were impressed with both visits. The first was for a Friday night dinner and the second was for a Sunday morning brunch. Dinner on Friday was with a group of 10 people and they arranged a "private" room for us... "The VIP Room" they called it. Well, it wasn't private but they sure treated us as VIPs! The staff was on point and firing on all cylinders. They took our orders quickly, sought refills quickly, and were pleasant as could be! We started with Cheese Curds before diving into the all-you-can-eat broasted chicken. Let me tell you, they boast about their broast(ed) chicken and it is for good reason - it is DELICIOUS! I HIGHLY recommend it! We all left with full bellies and wallets (as the prices are exactly what they should be). Bruch on Sunday is also all-you-can-eat and we, the same group of 10, had another great meal. The buffet had a solid variety of choices, including some I did not expect (Polish Sausage and Sauerkraut! Eggs Benedict! Ribs!), and everything was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. My mouth is watering just thinking about the food. And, once again, absolutely dynamite level of service from the staff. Judy, the hostess, was pulling double-duty greeting guests, stacking clean plates, AND pulling dirty ones from tables as she made her rounds. Incredible. In case it has not sunk in yet... Great food, service and atmosphere. Waitress are always friendly, the owner will come to your table to make sure you're happy. They even get produce locally. The all you can eat broasted chicken is definitely one of the best. You can't go wrong with cheese and crackers and the chocolate cake is huge! This place is a little out of the way but worth the trip. We will stop here every time we are in the area. Things to keep in mind. They get busy so you may have to wait.
