We really lucked out coming across Kosta's Kitchen after dropping someone in our party off at CLT. We arrived hungry for breakfast, were greeted warmly, and invited to take a seat anywhere we liked. Our server came right over and was super friendly, very helpful with our questions, and was extremely attentive the entire time. You never know what you're going to get in terms of cleanliness coming into a no-frills kind of establishment, but we immediately noticed that the place was spotless and well-maintained. I don't know how new this location is, but it felt new inside. Our party ordered the greek omelette with a side of bacon, a custom bacon and cheese omelette, and the fish and grits. I could get into how great each dish was, but I'll just say that this place is hitting well above its weight in terms of flavor and overall quality of the food. Please don't change a thing. I'm almost afraid to mention how great the prices are for what you're getting here. Overall, a real gem of a spot. Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely be back -- I'd love to try the lunch items. My note to Kosta: Whatever James is making, double it. My husband and two of my boys ate here before a travel ball game down the road. We are traveling from out of town so heavily dependent upon Yelp for suggestions of places to dine. The food was great. My husband had the roasted chicken, which was a great healthy option for him. My boys had a meatball sub and a buffalo chicken sub and they both enjoyed them very much. I had the chicken tender plate with mash potatoes and okra. The chicken were hand battered. The batter was light and they did not taste greasy at all. The staff was extremely friendly and no tip for ordering was suggested, however, someone did bring our food and they cleaned up behind us so we did leave a tip. We paid about $65 which compared to the $85 we spent at Dave's Hot Chicken last night, we considered it a good deal. Would eat here again if we are in the area. read more

We've been here at least two dozen times over the last couple of years. Every time the staff is super friendly with customers and each other. It's rare to go eat somewhere with happy employees. The place is very clean and the food is always hot ,fresh and tasty. It's our go to place when we are near the airport. We've been three times for breakfast on a weekend. And we're not disappointed. Love it here! The manger is sweet. Nice lady that always wears her hair in a bun. I love their breakfast. The liver mush with egg, and bacon egg and cheese are my favs, and ALWAYS on thick cut toast. Order online and pickup when ready. They will have it all packed up and stapled for you. Keep in mind that there is a drive through window for picking up your online orders. Their lunch is good too. Good seafood and desserts. Great southern feel here and amazing sweet tea. Try them out! They are not expensive. read more

In place of the old Yorkmont Cafe, I found myself at Kosta's for lunch today. When I pulled into the parking lot, the place was packed for lunch service. Good sign. I was helped quickly by a friendly cashier who explained the place has been open for five years now. Surprising. As I waited for my To Go order, I watched the interactions between Staff and customers. It was pleasant to see how friendly and engaging all of the staff was to each other and customers. My food was pushed out quickly which surprised me, being how full the place was. Another great sign. Unfortunately, the quality of the food wasn't my favorite. Simple, straight forward American food done well. I've only been able to stop in for lunch, and the menu covers sandwiches, hoagies, meatloaf, salads, and just about everything in between with decently priced daily specials. Plenty of parking and seating inside (lots of booths) and the staff is friendly and efficient. I've enjoyed their generous salads before, but on my last visit I had a chicken gyro with coleslaw and a side order of fries. The chicken was tasty and the tzatziki sauce was on point -- sometimes with these kind of sandwiches, the chicken is overdone and/or the sauce has no flavor. The coleslaw was excellent, too! Tried Kosta's for the first time on a Saturday morning. The attention to service and follow-up by the wait-staff was great. Having recently had surgery and placed on a "heart healthy " diet, I was apprehensive about eating anywhere. Kosta's had numerous heart healthy alternatives, and all were yummy. Okay, I think I've eaten here enough to form an opinion. It's close to the job and they have online ordering, lunchtime is 30 mins for me. My food is always ready when I arrive and the drive thru pick up window is a bonus. Everything I've tried has been average. The gyro, greek chicken, fried chicken, fried shrimp and chicken tenders are all tasty but not overly seasoned. I love their fries, fried okra and their homemade ranch. The pricing seems fair for the amount of food you get. The only misses I've experienced was a stale roll and white onions on my salad, I prefer red. I imagine if requested on a future visit, they would change it though with no problem. Ladies at the window are friendly and always check the order before handing it over. Clean and simple type establishment with an infuses on quality of food and service. The menu is not vast so what they do, they do well. Service is the great. I always feel that they are happy to see me. An absolute "hidden gem". Some pointers... 1. Tea is good! 2. CRUSHED ICE that doesn't melt away fast. 3.
