I now see what all the hype is about! I admit I'm not a huge breakfast guy so I've missed out on Flying Biscuit despite always hearing nothing but good things. I finally got to try it this past weekend and I've really been missing out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It appears small from the outside located in the Park Road Shopping Center, but it is actually spacious inside with lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The walls are colorful and painted with some adorable murals dedicated to the Queen City.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a hard time deciding what I want because truthfully everything on the menu sounded delicious, but I decided to go with the Hangover Hash. It comes with some chopped up chicken tenders, chorizo, potatoes, and eggs, and of course you can't forget the cheese! It also came with a biscuit that was served with a fantastic cranberry apple butter. Paired with some mimosas for the table and it made for a wonderful brunch. I'm glad I live close by as I will need to be returning soon.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed the decor of this restaurant and the coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But that's about where it ends for me. My server was attentive at first, but then he became distant further towards my exiting of the restaurant. I didn't like that. I got the chorizo hash and the potatoes tasted like they were cooked a day ahead. The texture made me not want to eat them. The salsa did not go with this meal.

Everything was sooo good! The portion sizes were huge and we had a lot to take home and eat later. The fall coffees were also incredible! We came in around noon on a Saturday and they were able to accommodate us (2 people) immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is decor is so cool, with paintings all around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will definitely be back.

Tasty food with creative twists. Waffles perfectly cooked and chicken fingers full of flavors. Breading on fingers very crunchy and good. Portions are huge! Gravy was sparse and odd. Not my grandmothers thick and flavorful gravy - rather a thinner chunked blend. Good but not great. I suggest getting it on the side so you can control where it lands on your plate. Because I eat like a toddler, I ordered a separate plate and dismantled the eggs, gravy, and chicken from atop my waffle. It was too much at the party for me but tasted great separately.

This place has always been a favorite of mine! I love their food but the portions are big. This time I got the southern scramble and the eggs had such a good smoked flavor! It was more than I could eat but, as always, it was delicious. I also got a chair tea latte which was good but I've had better elsewhere. Overall good food and I really like this restaurant.

This is one of my favorite places in Charlotte to eat. First time review for the restaurant. I had the mini shrimp n grits and the fried green tomatoes. It was perfect. The wait wasn't overly long as it was Sunday Brunch. Service was great. Overall highly recommend.

While recently in the area, me and my boyfriend stopped in for brunch at The Flying Biscuit Cafe. We had to wait on a table, but the area is full of shops so we were able to shop while we waited. I started the meal with an iced vanilla latte. It was pretty good but just your standard latte. I ordered the honey butter chicken Benedict as my entree which came with grits. The grits were my favorite part! They were super creamy and buttery. I understand why they call them the creamy dreamy grits. The chicken had a nice flavor but it was two large pieces of chicken over a small biscuit so I wish there was more biscuit. The scrambled eggs on top were just okay but I could've done without them. They didn't really add anything to the dish. It was a nice lunch and our service was good, so I'd go back.

We stopped at Flying Biscuit oin the Park Road Shopping Center for a late breakfast/brunch this past week.. We arrived around 11:00 AM, a bit after the breakfast crowd and before the lunch crowd filled the place up. This place tends to be busy! Because their food is soooo good! And the service is equally good. The interior is eclectic but very comfortable. Its easy to linger over coffee after the meal is done. Their menu is extensive so order a beverage and take your time deciding what to order. There are lots of good choices.

The grits! That's all I need to say. Lol. Okay, here's my review: Walking in, the presentation initially turned me off, but I decided to give it a try. Our waitress Zoe was friendly and knowledgeable, and she provided us with some excellent recommendations. My wife opted for the hot honey butter chicken and waffles, while I chose the stuffed French toast. The portions were quite generous, so make sure to come hungry.

Came in on a Sunday morning, quoted at a 1 hour wait and we were sat in 40mins! Waitress was very kind and attentive to our 6 top table. We all enjoyed our food! I got their Avocado Toast, pro tip: ask for cilantro on top! It's a fresh addition to their tomatoes they top it with. I do wish however their fruit was ripe. It was a disappointment to receive overly firm fruit with no sweetness. (Pictured below) My husband ordered their pancake tacos. The presentation was very sloppy. It was loaded eggs on top of very large thick pancakes. There was no "form" to them. If they were thinner and smaller in taco trays it would have ate better. Though the concept was there! Overall, we really enjoyed our food all eggs were cooked to our liking, and had a great waitress!

The food came out fast and fresh. Ordered the mimosa flight consisting of four flavored mimosas. Our server was friendly and efficient. Always checked on us. I ordered the southern omelette. Omg it was good. Cooked the way I wanted it. The atmosphere is college like. However, all is welcome. Good music playing, folks chatting up. And to think I found this location using Yelp. So thank you for that. All in all, this was place was a gem. I'll be back.

Everything was excellent! We expected this place to be packed (and for good reason), but the wait was not bad at all; our expected wait time was 35 minutes, but we ended up getting seated in 20. Service was very fast, and our food came fresh from the kitchen; I could still see some steam coming out of my Southern Scramble when it was brought to me. Upon taking my first bite, I was greeted by the perfect combination of eggs, bacon, collard greens, onions, and cheese. This delicious combination continued, and I practically ate my plate clean by the end of my meal. The biscuit that came with my plate was soft and crumbly and paired well with the cranberry apple sauce that was already waiting for us on the table. The grits were creamy and a great side for the rest of the plate. There were many other options on the menu that also stood out to me; I can't wait to come back again hopefully soon to try them!

The first time was in November 2025 and 2nd time March 2026 where the bartenders were professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, and made some of the best Bloody Marys we've had in Charlotte. The food was excellent, and we left both times excited to come back. Unfortunately, this Sunday's visit (around 2 p.m.) felt like a different restaurant. It was much busier, and service was noticeably lacking. We waited quite a while just to be acknowledged, our drinks weren't nearly the quality they had been before, and the Bloody Mary tasted like it came straight from a mix instead of being handcrafted like our previous visits. The food was also disappointing. It was much saltier than we remembered, and we never received the Caesar salad with steak we ordered. To the staff's credit, it wasn't on our bill, so we didn't mention it. Overall, no one was rude, but the attention to detail, professionalism, and overall experience that earned our previous five-star reviews just wasn't there this time. We're hoping this was simply an off day because we genuinely loved this place and would like to see it return to the high standard that made us regular customers.

The food is over the moon delicious with plenty of options and reasonable serving sizes. Even with the slightly high price point, it is well worth every penny. And they take allergies SO seriously! Literally went through a bunch of ingredients to find what would and wouldn't be dairy-allergy safe. Atmosphere is fun but cozy, too. 100% recommend! In-depth: Postino has quickly become one of my favorite places in the CLT area after my 10/10 experience here. To start, the food. My word, it's amazing! Everything my friend and I tried was delicious. The bruschetta is 100% worth trying (the spinach artichoke one is my favorite), and the west coaster panini + romaine salad was tasty at every bite. Their wine is also good quality, with a decent-sized portion poured. Allergy safety is a major thing for them, too. Our server (Lee = the best waitress!) and her manager looked through their bread and ingredients for about 30 minutes to confirm what was and wasn't dairy safe (I asked how dairy allergies are handled for when I bring my husband next time). They also had quite a few gluten-free options, too. The manager explained that she wants people to be able to just come in and relax for a few hours without worrying if they'll get sick, which I truly, truly appreciate. Lee shared a similar sentiment, which was amazing. Now price... Yes, it is a *bit* pricey, but it is well worth it. Nothing felt lacking as far as flavor goes, and the allergy safety is a huge thing. This is one of the few places I felt my sandwich and salad were worth every penny, even if it was $17. Also, their rewards program is great. I got a free bruschetta board, and they offer several other perks. Make sure to sign up before or while dining there to get some good deals! In addition to their sincere care for allergy safety, the service is fantastic all around. They do group service, meaning you'll have several servers, and they encourage you to grab anyone if you have questions. This takes the pressure off of waiting for one server to walk by and really helped me relax. And the atmosphere? I could stay there all day! It's a really fun vibe, but the lighting and seating are very cozy. Overall, I've already recommended this place to 5+ people and will be returning soon

There are so many standout dishes that it can be hard to choose, but my ultimate go-to is the seared ahi tuna salad. They have always had, in my estimation, the best French onion soup around and I was craving it, so off I went. The restaurant off East Boulevard is an eclectic sort of place, and in my memory the interior hasn't ever changed. The wood is dark, the tables a bit worn and packed together to give a slightly claustrophobic feel, and the decor is always vaguely counterculture. For people who like NoDa and Plaza Midwood (before its recent transformation), it's homey as can be. I enjoyed the familiarity of its unpretentious surroundings as I took a seat in a tiny corner booth. Delighted to note that the French onion soup is as delicious as ever, with a richly flavored broth and a generous amount of bread and cheese baked in. While the quality hasn't diminished, thank heavens, the size has gone from a bowl to a cup. As it was my upcharged side I didn't mind terribly but still. Alas. Kudos to the kitchen for letting me have my soup before my sandwich was delivered, but here is where things went a little south. I had ordered The Usual, one of their trademark dishes, a hot open-faced chicken salad sandwich on a baguette topped with asparagus, mushrooms and cheese. It too has been the victim of shrinkflation, about 2/3 as big as once it was. Again, didn't mind terribly much but the toppings themselves were scant: three small strips of jarred or canned asparagus, four slices of mushroom. Okay, everything is expensive these days, but the edges of the sandwich were burned and the filling was cool, meaning the salamander setting was off and no one checked it before sending it out or putting it down. I might have considered sending it back but that's when my server disappeared. My water glass sat empty for half my meal and was never refilled. Even paying the check was sluggish. So I give the current state 300 East a solid three with a disappointed sigh because they seem to be phoning it in. Really great French onion soup, though.
