Basically, this is a storefront that sells massive salads and a ton of sandwiches. You have to pick the right line to order, though. They offer an impressive menu. There are soup options, ranging from turkey chile with beans to lobster bisque. The salad options are impressive and my friend made his own salad and was thrilled with it. I enjoyed a delicious sandwich made on fresh bread. The portions are exceptional. Plan to leave needing a nap. Seating can be a bit tricky as the place is very popular, but there is outdoor seating available which will be nice certain times of the year prices are fair for the portions. Considering how busy they were I was surprised at how kind the service was. It's a fun place to eat.

I might be back to try more, but my overall consensus is that each item I tried was AVERAGE. I tried the popular Lox cream cheese sandwich - the lox was tasty & plentiful, but the cream cheese tasted like nothing, and the veggies blended into the background. The wraps that I got were OK but not memorable. The avocado hummus sandwich was also OK, but missing major flavor points. It needs a sauce or onion or something. The rice crispy treats - do not get these! They are stale :( $7 down the drain. Friendly staff! Patient while I decided on my choices.

The sausage pocket was also good and im not even a fan of sausage . The blackberry hibiscus tea/lemonade was my favorite. I would say Piada is one of the best choices for a fast casual food option .

You need to determine what is the correct portion of sauce to put on the food. The noodles were swimming in the white sauce. They squirted excess amount of pesto sauce. So I like the concept. The personnel were very friendly and courtesy. So the only issue I had was portions of sauces used on the food and too salty.

Either way I was seated inside. The AC wasn't working. It was hawt and that clay oven was fired up. I initially was seated in the sultry bar area where old school vibes radiated. It was dark and intense. I moved to the main dining area nestled in the corner. The windows were massive and let in copious amount of light and heat too, apparently. It was clean open and airy. Visual vibes of two distinct atmospheres. We tried the Meatballs and Wood-fired shishito peppers, with lemon tahini to start. The meatballs were moist but not seasoned. Definitely, prepackaged but had a beautiful display. The sauce was tart and seasoned but not overpowering or runny. I liked that. The ricotta allowed a richness to blend in each bite. I loved the visual. Unfortunately, I bit into foil or pan. I let the staff know and they replaced the dish. I tried the wood-fired Shishito peppers, with lemon tahini assuming they were spice or tart and they were neither. It was a large portion of peppers perfectly seared providing an aromatic invigorating experience. The tahini paired perfectly giving great flavor to a very subtle vegetable. I was pleasantly surprised. The Carolina Special was surprisingly good. I'm a default pepp girl but my friend only eats chicken. The 800º signature sweet & spicy base was good and sweet, and peppers gave a little spice. I was expecting vinegar based sauce but it wasn't tart at all. Ample chicken strung throughout each bite was amazing with a bit of sweet onion in every perfect bite. I got a cookie for my trouble. Which was a nice gesture. The ice cream was vanilla bean as I could see each dot but had no flavor as was the cookie. However, we ate each bite. So, there's that. Minus the foil hiccup the meal was pretty great. Even my PYT was strong and vibrant. My server was sweet. Very dedicated and efficient. Gave great customer service.

Our waitress brought the salad incorrectly, and she only came to our table once during the meal. We had to wait and felt largely unattended. Unfortunately, the food was just as disappointing. My husband ordered the salmon, which came with quinoa tabbouleh. The tabbouleh was absolutely awful--bland, lacking flavor, and poorly presented. It was not something we enjoyed at all. We also ordered the Quattro Formaggi pizza, hoping it would be better, but it was another disappointment. Overall, neither the food nor the service met our expectations. For the price and overall experience, we simply did not feel it was worth it and would not recommend it.

My husband and I both ordered the Old School Plate. The potatoes were well seasoned and perfectly crispy. The chicken sausage I had was delicious and expertly prepared--juicy on the inside and crisp on the outside. But OMG the pancakes!! They offer a self-serve bar of delicious flavored butters and jams. I had never tried sweet potato butter, but the combination of it and syrup set off the big, fluffy cakes perfectly. I'm so full and happy that we tried this place out!!

Biscuits and gravy are a southern staple and rarely have I had any that were really good, except here at Vicious Biscuit. Biscuits are their business. The most important elements are the biscuits and the gravy. Additions are many and varied, but if the basic two items are not both excellent, you will have a disappointing experience. The Vicious biscuit is the size of a hamburger bun. It is soft and there are bits of spice in the dough. These biscuits do not fall apart, but stay together and serve to soak up the wonderful sausage gravy that is poured on top of it. You can order just a biscuit with gravy for $8. And if you are timid, start here. Otherwise, there are add-ons like very good fried chicken, shrimp and grits, ham, pulled smoked pork, crab, bacon, fried shrimp. fried eggs and other combos. Super choices, so take time to study the menu which is extensive. Portions are great, very generous. I had their Vicious ($12). It was their Cheddar jalapeño biscuit, crispy fried chicken, maple sausage gravy, cowboy candy, with maple syrup drizzle. I was hesitant as to the maple syrup, but it is just enough to give accent to the gravy, but not super sweet. Wife had Fried Green 'Maters ($9.50) which were four fried green tomatoes, their signature pimento cheese with a pickled okra garnish. She could not eat it all, so I helped finish off the lone tomato and a bit of the cheese. Very good. Vicious Biscuit is more that a meal, it is an experience, even a journey, through this traditional southern staple, biscuits and gravy. Enjoy the trip. We might see you there.

Oh high the mighty have fallen…read more... Back in 2019 I wrote a stellar five star review for this restaurant, but after dining there earlier today, I want to offer an apology for anyone who was led astray by my initial review, because my experience earlier today at Another Broken Egg Cafe was without a doubt one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered, and that is saying a lot given the breadth of reviews I have written over the years. Before I continue, I do want to give kudos to the woman at the hostess stand as she was the only ray of light in the midst of complete and utter darkness, disappointment and disrespect that was our experience this afternoon at this establishment. For starters, we waited 8 minutes from the time we were seated until we were even acknowledged by a server. It got to the point where my wife and I had a 10 minute countdown clock going where the alarm would signal it was time for us to get up and walk out. In hindsight, we probably should have set the timer for 9 minutes instead of 10, as then the embarassing display of customer service we experienced would have never happened, but hey hindsight is 20/20 right... Once the server came over, she appeared to us to be absolutely miserable as there was no greeting, no personality, no expression, so again, we should have taken that as a red flag to get up and leave, but we decided to give it the benefit of the doubt, as maybe she was just having a bad day, so no harm no foul. My wife ordered the lobster champagne omelette and I ordered the rum butter pancakes and when the food arrived, I actually had to send my pancakes back, because the server missed the 3 times I mentioned no whipped cream. Instead of apologizing, she felt the need to say "I thought you said "add whipped cream", which made absolutely no sense, because the menu states that whipped cream is included, hence why I said "no whipped cream". Spoiler alert, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, as you will see later in this review... As my wife was eating her omelette, she bite into what she thought at first was a bone, which would have been weird but whatever, but lo and behold, it turned out to be a piece of plastic, like the kind you find on a shirt tag (actual pic attached). She took it out of her mouth and showed it to me, and talk about a gross out moment, as no one should expect to find plastic in their food, as this is not only gross but also a health hazard in so many ways, but wait it gets even better... After bringing the item to the front and eventually getting the manager Jose to engage with me, he proceeded to what could only be described in my humble opinion as subtle victim blaming, as he made it very clear to me that "we have no ingredients that use that type of plastic so there is no way it came out of our kitchen". So Jose, where exactly are you saying it came from then if not from your kitchen, as the lobster omelette came from your kitchen and the plastic was inside of the lobster omelette??? Jose the manager then proceeded to offer the same weak "defense" to my wife instead of offering an apology, as he kept reiterating that there is no way it could have come from their kitchen. It is so unfortunate it today's day and age that personal accountability seems to no longer be a thing, as rather than simply owning something, people such as Jose feel the need to get defensive and explain vs accepting responsibility, as you know that is kinda what leaders such as managers are supposed to do... Needless to say, we weren't paying for the meal with the unordered plastic health hazard included and we won't be going back. This was without a doubt one of it not the worst experience I have had in my many years reviewing restaurants and I am still in utter shock at the complete lack of leadership exhibited by the manager Jose as his tone deaf response to the issue clearly demonstrates a total disregard for the customer that honestly disqualifies him as a manager in my opinion. Unfortunately, negative stars aren't a thing, as Another Broken Egg Cafe would definitely be my first recipient of a negative star rating, which says a lot given all of the horrible restaurants I have reviewed over the years. Another Broken Egg Cafe....more like Another Broken Leadership Cafe...good riddance and welcome to the inaugural -1 star club, you deserve it!
