Some of the old lettuce I picked out.

Ordered two turkey subs, Mediterranean salad and tiramisu. We love the subs previously because of the yummy bacon jam and the salad was great also. This time? Super stingy portions of bacon jam that was one small splotch in the middle of the sandwich and had a burned taste. So the special subs became meh and nothing I would go back for. And I thought pickles came with them? As for the salad, SUPER disappointed when I opened the container and half the lettuce was brown. Had to pick through it all and throw it out. Made it SO unpleasant. Tiramisu was the best part.

My partner recently made a cast iron pizza using the dough, fresh mozerella, and prosciutto from P&P, and it was one of the best pizzas I've had!

The pasta is homemade and the atmosphere is inviting. We had a nice lunch my hubby had the meatballs sub and loved it . I had the garlic basil pasta and meatballs with the red chunky sauce forgot what it's called all of it delicious . The rest of the family had pasta also . We enjoyed it tried some olives and had a cannoli . This is a store also with the deli and pasta menu . Great spot to try . The service was great also.

For many years I have been picking up some frozen pizzas and pasta dishes from the Exchange at 36th from Pasta and Provision. They are so good, that I'm ashamed that it has taken me this long to actually visit one of their locations! I rectified that mistake recently when I walked into their Park Road location for lunch. The place serves as a deli, and a grab and go market where you can get fresh meats, cheeses, delicious Italian bread, or take home some ready to cook meals. They also serve food in house from pasta specialty dishes like lasagna or chicken parm, to tasty sub sandwiches. On top of all that they have a great outdoor seating area for a cold drink. I have heard great reviews of their sandwiches so that is what I decided to try. I went with the Royal Sandwich which comes with capicola and a sausage patty on a toasted hoagie roll. It was fantastic! I am glad that I live by this place now because I will for sure be returning.

Pasta & Provisions is the perfect place to pick up Italian staples! I wandered in on a Sunday afternoon with bolognese on the brain, and the staff were very helpful in their recommendations for the type and cut of pasta that would work best. I ended up getting a pound of garlic & rosemary pappardelle, which the staff let me know should cook for 2.5 minutes and be combined with the sauce right when it's ready so that the pasta doesn't stick together. Once at home, we followed their instructions, and the meal came out beautifully! The pasta was perfect with the tomato-ey bolognese sauce, but honestly you could just toss it in some butter and be happy since it's flavorful all on its own. I can't wait to return and try more!

This is a small but mighty store! I LOVE the goat cheese and pesto spread, it's rich in flavor. It's great on sandwiches or dipping. They also have great chocolate cookies from Italy as well. I picked up a rosemary loaf for dipping in EVOO and to pick up extra sauce my pasta missed. AKA - una scarpetta. Date Night Idea - pick up some wine and pizza dough (or a kit), some spreads and toppings for a pizza night. Everyone there is super friendly too!

I've picked up to go meals from their other location before but this was the first time I've dined in the restaurant at the park road location. Two of us stopped by for lunch and we were totally impressed with the lunch selections. All of the employees were super friendly and welcoming that we spoke to. We were both craving pasta so we both ordered fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. I made mine a combo which came with either chips or side salad. I opted for the side salad. Unfortunately, they only had kale available that day but I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the Caesar salad was with only kale. Both of our pastas weee absolutely fantastic and fresh! The inside of the place is quite small but the weather was perfect to enjoy our meal on the patio! I hope to come back to try their other menu items very soon!! I also checked out their grab and go market items and I know I'll come back for those as well!!

I saw that they offered made to order pasta entrees on Fridays so I made it over before they closed and ordered fettuccine with a little pesto, shrimp mushrooms, onions. I think they added way too much pesto as it took over the dish so it was just ok for me but I did enjoy the garlic cheese bread and will return for something different.

    Meatball sub to go

We stopped in on Friday around noon to get lunch, and liked it so much we came back Sunday to get a take and make dinner! For lunch we tried the cheesesteak and the meatball sub, both quite large and delicious - I can't wait to go back and try a more traditional deli style sandwich. For the take and make dinner we did the entree bundle which included chicken Parmesan, garlic parsley fresh linguine, salad mix and focaccia. Every thing was tasty and fresh and amazing. We will be back to try more!

My bf and I have had a hard time finding ravioli that has meat inside of it. It seems like restaurants only offer cheese kind. So when I google and found this place, I was excited. I bought the frozen ravioli and cooked it at home and it was pretty decent. The staff are very helpful and ambiance is small place but it's not a full blown restaurant.

You can buy rubs, marinades, salads, sides, bread, rolls, desserts, etc. They also have frozen wild game if that is what you are into. It was unfortunate that half their store did not have power as we were not able to see any of the meat or fish on display. iI was ok we were not able to hand select our steaks or fish - the store has such a great reputation we were not too worried about what we would end up with. We decided to order 4 prime marinated NY strip and 2 tuna steaks. They make theur own naribade so we had to try it. We also wanted to try one of frozen pre-made meals so we chose the sausage and pasta with vodka sauce. While in line to checkout we saw more than a few people with trays of cinnamon buns so we had to try them as well. This is a summery of our purchased food:. The cinnamon rolls were grainy. Not smooth. I think they were old (I had to pull them from the back). The steaks had a great flavor as the marinade was really good. Three of the 4 steaks were over cooked because we were given 4 different sized steaks. 2 got burnt the third was well done....$60 wasted. The tuna was good but again they gave us one large steak and one thinner one so the smaller was was dry....another $15 wasted. If I can make any suggestion....do not make a purchase without seeing what you are buying. $136.00 later I can say I was disappointed because of the unevenness it was cooked improperly. 4 stars because the cook is partially to blame. 3 stars otherwise. There's a real sense of history here. From what I understand, Reid's is one of the oldest grocers in Charlotte, and that legacy shows in the details. The rich green tile, classic signage, and thoughtfully designed layout create an elevated, almost European-style market experience. It feels polished, intentional, and welcoming all at once. What stands out: * The store is beautifully merchandised and carefully curated with specialty and seasonal items you don't always find elsewhere. * The wine bar and café concept make this more than a grocery stop--it's a place to linger. I've enjoyed flights, tastings, and brunch on the patio, and each visit has felt like a small occasion. * Location-wise, it really depends on which store you're visiting. The SouthPark and Myers Park locations have easy, convenient parking, and there's also a newer location in Ballantyne (near Pineville). The Uptown locations, while not necessarily "easy parking," are incredibly walkable--perfect if you live, work, or have meetings nearby. If you're already Uptown, this is a fantastic stop to pick up elevated items for a beautiful dinner--think wine, specialty cheeses, or even something indulgent like caviar to round things out. One thing I appreciate is that Reid's doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It's not an organic-focused market like Whole Foods, and that's okay--it serves a different purpose. The clientele here tends to be people looking for specialty ingredients, elevated prepared foods, and a more curated shopping experience. Many shoppers probably visit both stores depending on their needs, and I find myself doing the same. When Reid's really shines: During the holidays and special seasons. Their selection of unique, festive, and hard-to-find items makes it a go-to for entertaining or finding something a little extra special. Overall, Reid's feels like a true Charlotte institution--elegant, distinctive, and consistently well executed. It's the kind of place that makes grocery shopping feel enjoyable again, and I'm looking forward to continuing to explore more of what they offer as I keep eating my way through Charlotte. Bottom line: A beautifully curated local market with history, charm, and a destination-worthy wine bar--perfect for specialty shopping, brunch, and seasonal finds.
