The honey butter chicken was soooo good!! I loved the different textures in the dish like the crunchy chips, chewy rice cakes and crispy chicken! Highly recommend!

Galbijjim
Marco L.

Nice spot for korean food, service was prompt and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. Menu pricings are decent and the portion size is good as well! Only tried the Galbijjin this time around, it was spot on flavour wise. More than enough to feet two people and came with plenty of sides!

Yangnyeom Boneless
Allen W.

Service was fast and friendly. The side dishes were yummy and they are attentive if you want refills. We ordered the yangnyeom boneless (half size) and the sauce was too sweet for my liking, but the rice cakes were soooo good. Just the right chewy texture on the inside and crispy on the outside. We also got the spicy jokbal and it was indeed spicy but so delicious. The meat was tender and the veggies in the dish add the right amount of crunch to pair with that. Two dishes were more than enough for two people.

Mushroom Bulgogi
Diana F.

We went upstairs and sat near the window so we had a view of Robson. The dumplings and mushroom bulgogi we ordered were fine. Banchan were 3 dishes, which was quite odd as I normally get at least 5 dishes at other restaurants & other people seemed to be given many more as well, from the pictures they've posted. Loud atmosphere as music played while customers chatted.

My girlfriend was craving Korean food while we were in Vancouver, and since this spot was just a short walk from our hotel, we decided to check it out. As soon as you head up the stairs, you are greeted by friendly staff and a clean, cozy dining space. The menu is straightforward with plenty of great options. For appetizers, we ordered the Mandu, which are Korean style dumpling filled with pork and mixed vegetables, which were delicious. For entrees, I went with the Soy Garlic Chibap, which is boneless fried chicken tossed in soy garlic sauce over rice. My girlfriend ordered the Kimchijjigae, a spicy kimchi stew with pork served with rice. The portions were generous, everything tasted fresh and comforting, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for how much food we got. We left full and happy. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Galbi Tang soup

Last night in Canada and decided to go to a Korean restaurant. We looked at reviews and came in. The service here is okay. We orders and they just dropped off the food and never came back. Wish the service was better, like say, how is everything or is there anything else. The chicken was decent. My Wang galbi tang soup was good. Wish there was more noodles. Othet than that, I would go back to this place. The music was awesome, love the k pop music and they do play other music. I would recommend this place.

Beef hotpot
Feifei R.

The beef hotpot has very delicious broth, very beefy. I love that it has various veggies and mushroom. We are a table of three, so the seafood pancake and the hotpot is the perfect quality. The seafood pancake felt very thick with flours, I had much better seafood pancakes at other places. Overall, good food and especially with hotpot style, it's fun to share on a cloudy day.

Satisfy your Korean fried chicken cravings here. Their downtown Robson street location is where you can pick from 9+ different flavours of chicken that can be boneless, bone in or oven baked. You get either get them full size or half size. We tried the following: - Supreme Full Size Boneless Chicken $37 ( cream sauce with yangneyeom) - Mayack Full Size Boneless Chicken $37 (seasoned cheese powder w/ yogurt sauce) - Bullak Geongol Hotpot $57 (marinated beef, octopus, potato, cabbage, glass noodle & more) - Spicy Chicken Feet $25 The portions for the full size chicken is huge! The chicken was crispy and flavourful. They came with potatoes and rice cakes. It was more than enough for three people. The hot pot was loaded & very comforting. The chicken was quite spicy but tasty! It does get a bit pricey so come with a group to share!

Naw

Service was great!!! The spicy garlic chicken was 20% off plus free fries it was spicy loved it hehe. Honey butter chicken was sweet! The soybean soup was delicioussss Loved the bean sprouts banchan they asked if we needed a refill for the radish as well Spent around 60$ for a lot of food super cheap for Robson street nice place to drink as well it wasn't very loud

Jokbal. Spicy and nonspicy.
Johnny Y.

Got the spicy Jokbal. Delicious and spicy. Came out super hot temperature. Platter is definitely for 2-3 people but ate it and then ate the leftovers the next day. Was there late at night on a weekday. Service was friendly and attentive. Upstairs through narrow stairway. I could see the place getting lively on the weekend as the food is often considered drinking food but it was pretty calm and quiet when I was there.

Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were on point. One of the better meals I've had in Vancouver

spicy squid and pork bulgogi, kimchi stew, and fried chicken. Osam Bulgogi Kimchi-Jjigae
미치광이

This was my second visit. We ordered spicy squid and pork bulgogi, kimchi stew, and fried chicken. Everything was delicious, but the spicy squid and pork bulgogi was the dish I kept reaching for the most. It's the most casual Korean restaurant to go to in downtown Vancouver.

Seolong Tang - authentic Korean food and kimchi is good. Fresh kimchi style and portions for price is good. $23 per bowl.
Maurice W.

Fresh kimchi is good. Authentic Korean food and price and portion is fair. $23 per menu item and decent amount of beef inside.

Surprisingly all the food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. When a Korean rates a Korean restaurant highly, it's GOOD.

Good food, solidly Korean, a little weak on banchan, friendly staff, a little loud. I'd go back for sure.

They were blaring death metal the whole time, which is definitely up my alley. The beer list is just average, but I could enjoy a glass or two here. Food-wise, I got a veggie burger (a proper homemade bean-based patty, not a fake meat one), with a side caesar salad (~$20 + surcharges for vegan cheese). The burger was massive; I liked the patty, but it was otherwise a fairly low-effort, low-quality burger -- iceberg lettuce, lifeless white bun, etc. -- and quite pricey. After tax/tip, that was a ~$28 meal. Yikes. They also are able to do vegan nachos, but I'm not huge into junk food. Maybe I'll try them another time if I'm here with other vegans. Fun spot that beats most environments solely because of the music., but there's little else to lure me back given how many superior vegan food options there are in the area.

one of the best restaurants we tried in vancouver for sure…read more honestly, i would skip most of the main courses and just order off the happy hour menu because that was easily the highlight for us. the carpaccio was insanely good! super savory, rich, fresh, and packed with flavor. it had that perfect balance where the meat practically melts in your mouth, and every bite tasted bright, salty, and satisfying without feeling too heavy. definitely the standout dish of the night. i also really enjoyed the poutine. the melted cheese curds made it extra comforting and indulgent, and the whole dish felt way more elevated than standard poutine. the drinks were also amazing. both the mocktails and cocktails were genuinely well made and memorable instead of feeling like an afterthought. the only misses for me were the short rib and the steelhead trout, which both really needed salt. the risotto was also pretty mid and not very memorable compared to the other dishes.

I'm not sure if I would say it was "jumbo" but delicious nonetheless. Parmesan Truffles Fries - The fries were standard, as was the aioli it came with. Organic Beet + Arugula Salad - This was a happy hour portion. It was a good salad, but I wish it came on a bigger plate for easier eating. Service: Service was friendly and quick. The food came out of the kitchen pretty quickly. I was asked more than once if I wanted a drink since it was happy hour which was a little awkward but not too bad! TL;DR - Good happy hour deals with quick service

Solid 5 stars for oysters! Glad this place is still delivering fresh oysters with cozy vibes…read moreafter so many years. Though their menu is smaller now and they only run from 4pm to around 7pm or 8pm, I appreciate their fresh oyster selection and reasonably priced menu plus i really like how they offer very fresh horseradish and a good selection of vinegar and sauces to pair with their oysters. I find them consistent in ensuring fresh quality and diverse oyster selection and I especially appreciate that their oysters are well shucked. (It makes for bad oyster experience when oysters look sad and skimpy or has shell traces). My favourite express happy hour combo could be pairing of their yummy fries, fresh oysters and a drink. They do have fried oysters and prawn cocktails as well and one can always order a pound of wings to share. This place is small and only have around 4 tables plus couple bar stools so it's best for dining solo or with couple pals for more intimate chats. It was busy on Saturday and I may recommend going early at 4pm or perhaps between 530 to 6pm if you didn't make a reservation. Ample paid parking options on the street and there are bus stops right on Keefer Street. Oyster Express is located in Chinatown area, approximately 10 minutes drive from Science World, Gastown, Canada Place or Pacific Central Station. It is definitely a cute stop for fresh west coast oysters and to quench your thirst with local BC beers.

We were very happy to hear they had high chairs and booster seats available. Place was not busy at that hour of the day, and we were glad to be seated near the back of the restaurant just in case our kid got fussy. It was nice and hipster and quiet and I love seeing the different flavors of foods on the menu. Hubby chose the Philly Cheesesteak poutine and he said it was really good. Originally I wanted to choose the Beefless Ginger Bowl, but thankfully the waiter warned me it may be a little on the spicy side. I'm glad he spoke up and I went with the Big Yum bowl instead. Definitely didn't disappoint! Had a fair helping of corn, edmame, sweet potatoes, shredded carrots, shredded cabbage and rice. I really appreciated the sauce was not overpowering and not unassuming. The perfect compliment in the perfect amount to just give your taste buds a little tickle. My kid tried some and he really liked it too, so it's always a bonus! Many Youtubers, vegan Instagrammers, or Reddit Posts recommended to try MeeT, so of course we had to see what the hype was about. There was plenty of seating inside and outside, but we chose to eat outside. One of the staff members said the service might not be fast since we're sitting outside, but our waitress, Dani, was so attentive and never forgot us! She went above and beyond by taking the time to check on us frequently, having long chats, and giving us the 101 around town. From giving us book recs to local restaurants and attractions around the city, Dani was a pool of knowledge and such a pleasure to talk to. She also knows Main Street like the back of her hand! Dani recommended the following dishes: Okonomiyaki - it was a bit salty for me, but still delicious. The pickled ginger really topped this dish off! It was a great appetizer before our actual meal came. Gruvi peruvi - there was an emphasis on olives, which is unusual for me but unique for this salad! I don't think I've ever had olives in a salad before, so it was interesting how it was the highlight of the dish. Elderflower spritz - light and not too sweet. The lemon really balances out the floral tones. I'm glad there wasn't too much carbonation in the drink. Mid-way through our meal, Dani came out to check up on us, but also surprised us saying her manager offered us dessert, on-the-house. Such a wonderful surprise! The restaurant did live up to the hype, and the staff were nothing but spectacular! Definitely will come back next time I'm in Vancouver.
