Excellent corned beef. The rabbi took our order. Eating deli sandwich in a synagogue.....priceless!

If you can sit at the bar or in one of the 2 tables by the window, you'll get excellent service. The charcuterie board is great, and the drink selection is also pretty good. However, the last time we came here, it was the middle of the afternoon on Valentine's day. I'm from Boston and Cape Cod and my partner is European; we look like it and we act like it. Upon a brief interaction with the hostess, we both felt spoken down to: "YOU'RE trying to come in on Valentine's day? Without a reservation?" This, coming from someone with a Worcester accent who was dressed like a boy going to church choir. We were shooed away into the dining area: "I guess you could stand over there and look at the menu". It's about 330 in the afternoon- most tables are completely empty. Then a different staff member, also with a working class accent, says "I need you to clear out of this walkway because this is for staff only", despite the fact that no staff were walking there and we had been standing there about 20-30 seconds. We left without saying anything as the hostess tried to say something to us. If you want to feel spoken down to, in the working class city of Worcester no less, come here. Alternately, if you're feeling aggressive and want to squeeze your way in to sit touching shoulder to shoulder, come here. The time before this, the hostess was a soft-spoken woman who mumbled a lot; we had to elbow people out of the way at the middle bar section, which is where she directed us. Maybe in another year I'll want to come back for lunch only. Honestly, I'd rather drive back to Boston if I'm going to be treated snobbishly.

And you can feel the old school vibes. They have old booths where you can take your dogs after you order. They also have counter service in the side room. George's grills Kayem Hot Dogs. Kayem originated in Mass btw. I always appreciate loyalty to in state makers. The classic George's dog is mustard, meat sauce and chopped onions. Standard white bun. I've seen mixed messages online about how you're supposed to order that dog. I've seen "All the Way." (Which is also how they say it in Providence). I've seen "Three Up", which is a new one for me. But the Menu actually says that a Coney is mustard, meat sauce and onions. So I ordered two coneys and everything worked out fine. The hot dogs were good, both in terms of the components, and in the sum of their parts. My dogs were not particularly snappy. I could see a grill mark. So perhaps it just needed a bit more turning so that it was more well done. Kayem is a good hot dog in terms of flavor. I prefer some other New England brands though. The meat sauce is good, but the seasoning didn't pop for me in the way that my favorite meat sauces do. I'm sure part of this is what you grew up with though. George's is a cool, old school, hot dog joint, that I imagine still does it like it always has. If that's how you like your hot dog spots, I suspect you'll love George's. 4.25 Stars

Brought a couple of friends from out of town due to the gluten free options for my friend and I really wanted a good margarita. The ambiance was great! My house margarita was delicious ( wished it had been served in a margarita glass instead of a regular glass - but it was still good). This is where it stops. The food was terrible, bland, and not authentic mexican. I expected so much more from this place. My enchiladas seemed like they were made from a rotisserie chicken, heated in the microwave, and splashed with some sort of boring sauce with no flavor. I had to ask for refried beans on the side and they were nothing to write home about. Guacamole was blah... Stick with Cancun's in Grafton if you want authentic Mexican. This place was way overpriced also. The kind of meal you don't want to pay for or even eat... Might be good for a margarita, but I'd even be weary if wasting my $$ on apps. Our guac and chips were nothing special. I make better guac at home. Moe's has better chips...
