I went to Chop Kabob (the one in Westborough that Northborough residents secretly claim) looking for a sensible lunch and came out feeling like I'd just successfully negotiated a peace treaty with a Persian king. Everything here--especially the Koobideh and the Lamb Shank--is so intensely flavorful, I'm pretty sure my taste buds filed for a promotion. The rice is fluffy enough to nap on, and the kabobs are so tender, they probably apologize before they melt in your mouth. My only complaint? I now have a serious saffron dependency and a wallet that is slightly lighter, but honestly, it was worth every penny. Five stars, or as I like to call it, "Five Skewers of Pure Delight." read more

What a hidden gem! Local family operated restaurant serving delicious eats. Happened to stopped in for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the chicken kebab bowls. Been here a few times and will come back! It's authentic, delicious and the portions are generous for the price. Looks like a family owned business. We usually order the Kabob which is tender, juicy and not dry! We also love ordering the hummus, it's fresh and delicious unlike store bought ones. The Lamb shank was delicious and juicy as well. I'd call about 15-20 mins. in advance during weekend evenings since it takes time to cook the food fresh and they seem busy with other take out orders. read more

Not many options in Marlborough, MA. So I was excited to say the least when I came across this Persian/Mediterranean restaurant. Very simple menu featuring beef, chicken and lamb options. At the hostesses suggestion I got the "grass-fed beef tenderloin kabob". Advertised as a special; I found the dish to be dry and bland in flavor. Steak was under seasoned. There are good seating tables, spacious, the place is clean and neat. The staff are very friendly and courteous. However the taste is average, lacks flavors and tastes bland. And the rice was very dry. Ordered the lamb wrap and did not enjoy it. They did cook and prepare the food fresh and right in front of me so I was excited to try it. The lamb was dry, tough and UNSEASONED.
