This spot kept popping up, so I checked it out--definitely didn't disappoint. Got a matcha and the big strawberry pastry stuffed with jam and soft cake. And yeah... you need a fork lol. The crunchy chocolate shell is actually really good. Coffee is moderately priced, pastries are a little expensive--but that's NYC + a viral trend. It gets pretty busy during the day with people working, so just a heads up.

I ended up getting the pistachio latte and it was just way too sweet for me. It also took quite a while for my latte. I'd come back to try other lattes and just get a regular coffee.

The can said sea salt so I'm not sure exactly what was happening. I had 2 glasses of something with bubbles. I believe it was the sweetest they offered without buying a bottle. We ordered the fromages, olives, deviled eggs, and the creme brulee. It was all delicious and fresh. The cheese impressed me most. It was served with several pieces of fresh, crusty bread. The servings of cheese were generous and there was a large portion of cinnamon apples nested in the middle of the board. Yummy is not good enough to describe this. I'm definitely stealing that idea for my next charcuterie board.

Walked in and was able to get a seat without reservation, but it definitely filled up by 6/7 pm. The place is dimly lit and the tables are quite small. For the food, we got their Brussel sprouts, shrimp, salmon entree and chicken entree. Our favorite were definitely the shrimp. But everything else when eaten together tasted a bit too greasy and felt monotonous in terms of flavor. Brussel sprouts were fried and held to a decent amount of oil, then the addition of tahini made it even more oily. Pan chicken we expected whole pieces of chicken but it was more like a thin chicken cutlet. The salmon came with a cauliflower puree which tasted so rich (with butter), but I couldn't finish it bc it was so rich.

The strawberry matcha was very good and didn't keep me up at night--sometimes matcha (aka caffeine) does that to me. They also have dumplings! I would've gotten some if I was hungrier. Good energy and vibes and they have other fun drinks too. Service was kind and patient with me when I couldn't decide what to order. They were also kind (to let me take a call there although I didn't really talk) in letting me know I had to leave (I didn't do anything, everyone had to leave) to make room for a weekly nighttime board game group. It's not great when you charge me over $10 for a small cup of coffee and then kick me out 1.5hrs before closing time on a chilly day.

The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask.
