Cute coffee shop with tranquil vibes on a rainy day
Andrew C.

A great spacious coffee shop with an elegant upstairs. It's right near a happening local area. There is ample room and it would be easy to spend a couple hours here. Great indoor decoration! ** Didn't get anything to eat nor a coffee. Just water for me as I was stopping in

Great coworking cafe! It's popular though so if you come on a weekend be prepared to wait a moment for a seat to open up. The service was good though and I enjoyed my Americano. The cafe is very well lit which I appreciated and the menu offering are solid.

My experience here today was disappointing! Kind of rude unwelcoming employees who don't know what gluten free is. I was hungry and asked what my options were. She said "salads" and nothing else so I ordered a green machine smoothie because they don't have gluten free avocado toast Bf isn't gluten free so he ordered it and the toast was limp. He also ordered a chai latte that was never served . Horrible service

This is a nice café right on Atlantic Ave. Customer service is great. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and other items. For a place with lots of seating the ambiance is very nice - not too noisy. Their coffee selections are top notch too. I loved my cortado. I'll be back.

Plenty of areas for laptop use. Not too many outlets but there are some available.

Light my fire by the doors was playing as I strolled in. Not a big line at 10am cause of quick, friendly and attentive staff. Double shot of espresso served in a ceramic cup is a must and this place delivered a solid shot! Seems like a "laptop shop". At first I didn't even notice how many people were at the tables because of how many levels this place has. Serving Counter Culture coffee seems to be the move here. Rustic open and airy design with exposed brick and a casual relaxed environment. Plenty of natural light with some tungsten bulbs to warm up the inside. First time coming here but looks like a nice spot for working if you can snag a spot. Plenty of space along the front windows for quick drinkers. They have a restroom downstairs that's shared.

I've had this place on my list of cafes to visit for a while. I finally had the opportunity to stop by on Saturday morning after running a few errands in the rain. It was pretty busy with not many tables to sit at but I was able to snag one upstairs in a small loft area that holds 3 tables with a view of the entire front of the cafe. Great area to study or read. There was a bit of a line when I arrived but it moved fairly quickly. I browsed the menu as I waited but decided on getting just an iced coffee with oat milk. I liked that they had a few different kinds of oat milk to choose from. Oatly is the one I always use so I was happy to see that they had it as an option. The barista was nice & very welcoming, he took my order & got it to me quickly. I enjoyed my coffee & was able to get a few things done peacefully while I was there. Definitely a go-to cafe for me.

Literally the best and one of my favorite cafes to work, dine, and play. And by play I mean a coffee date! The cafe is so warm and the staff is amazing. Oh and the food is next level! The chef should open a brunch location! The baked egg with cheese and mushrooms is so tasty and flavorful. I usually order a side of tomato spread for my toast, thank me later! Honestly if you need a place to work remote and enjoy a great breakfast, lunch or even dinner this is the place to be. It's super cute!

Super cute cafe with lots of seating! I saw a lot of people working from there. Coffee was good too!

Matcha Latte: see the matcha clumps at the bottom
Elaine T.

I wish the matcha latte I ordered was better because this place has very welcoming staff and a really nice and work-friendly seating area. When my friend and I stopped by it was packed with people on laptops, and it seemed like there were some outlets as well. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming back despite the seating, because my matcha latte was absolutely awful and so overpriced. I was worried when I saw it being halfheartedly whisked by the barista and sure enough, there were clumps of powder on the bottom and it was essentially green milk. They only put one small spoonful of matcha so even if it were to be evenly mixed I doubt the matcha flavour would have been strong enough. The only pro is that they don't add sugar. At just under $7 total, I'd have been better off just buying a gallon of milk and some green dye at the supermarket.

This 4 outlet--non of them is working- -- and next table's outlet too. (only 2 works)

Friendly and fast service, good iced latte, strawberry lemonade was good but a little heavy on the sour lemon, nice indoor seating area.

Drinks are mid. Kind of pricey, and $2 extra for no ice, which seems like a lot. The space is nice for doing work, though.

Been in here 4-5 times. All but once I was treated like I was interrupting the workers' conversation.

In that neighborhood, should have stuck with falafel. Ate outside, sandwich was okay, staff attitude was blasé, at best. Do better.

You must have the Brussels sprouts!! I'd go back for those in a minute! I very much enjoyed my salmon dish. Lovely presentation and preparation but portion a bit small. However, the Brussels sprouts were so generous portion that even after sharing there was "take home" for us. The chocolate mousse was extraordinary! I don't even want to know the calorie count - but worth it!! My one negative was the chill of the Cabernet Yes, I know that's the trend but personally I prefer room temp especially in cold weather The restaurant owner was gracious, staff actually charming and accommodating We are recommending this place to family and friends and plan to return especially when going to BAM ENJOY!!

Walked in and was able to get a seat without reservation, but it definitely filled up by 6/7 pm. The place is dimly lit and the tables are quite small. For the food, we got their Brussel sprouts, shrimp, salmon entree and chicken entree. Our favorite were definitely the shrimp. But everything else when eaten together tasted a bit too greasy and felt monotonous in terms of flavor. Brussel sprouts were fried and held to a decent amount of oil, then the addition of tahini made it even more oily. Pan chicken we expected whole pieces of chicken but it was more like a thin chicken cutlet. The salmon came with a cauliflower puree which tasted so rich (with butter), but I couldn't finish it bc it was so rich.

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
