Very cute place in parkslope. I had a very delish strong ice coffee. I sat with my hubby inside the coffee shop which was very Pleasant. My main constructive criticism would be that the establishment needed to clean the tables off. I had to clean my own table with my Clorox wipes thank you.

Iced Tea, Avocado Toast, Everything Scone

Stopped by on a whim for a quick afternoon snack on Saturday and was really thrilled with my choice! I had an iced green tea and the "everything" scone-- the tea was very refreshing and reasonably priced, and the scone was incredibly moist and flavorful! My friend ordered the avocado toast which also looked excellent. Seems like a great place to hang out and do work or get together with friends. Would return if in the area.

Hard to say whether we caught them at a bad time (near closing on a Saturday) or this is how they roll normally. Sticky, dirty tables. Condiment area missing water, stirrers, etc. Long wait for drinks only to discover they forgot our order. $6 slice of pie that was really tiny (though tasty). Vibe is lots of people heads down over laptops. I might try them again in a pinch, but with so many options in the neighborhood, they really ought to do take it up a notch.

You must have the Brussels sprouts!! I'd go back for those in a minute! I very much enjoyed my salmon dish. Lovely presentation and preparation but portion a bit small. However, the Brussels sprouts were so generous portion that even after sharing there was "take home" for us. The chocolate mousse was extraordinary! I don't even want to know the calorie count - but worth it!! My one negative was the chill of the Cabernet Yes, I know that's the trend but personally I prefer room temp especially in cold weather The restaurant owner was gracious, staff actually charming and accommodating We are recommending this place to family and friends and plan to return especially when going to BAM ENJOY!!

Walked in and was able to get a seat without reservation, but it definitely filled up by 6/7 pm. The place is dimly lit and the tables are quite small. For the food, we got their Brussel sprouts, shrimp, salmon entree and chicken entree. Our favorite were definitely the shrimp. But everything else when eaten together tasted a bit too greasy and felt monotonous in terms of flavor. Brussel sprouts were fried and held to a decent amount of oil, then the addition of tahini made it even more oily. Pan chicken we expected whole pieces of chicken but it was more like a thin chicken cutlet. The salmon came with a cauliflower puree which tasted so rich (with butter), but I couldn't finish it bc it was so rich.

I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
