Better then Joes pizza. If you know pizza you know this deserves 5 stars. Been eating pizza from here since the early 90s as a kid.

It makes me sad to write this review. I used to love this pizza. Something has changed in the recipe for sure. Maybe it's the sauce they use or different kind of cheese. It just doesn't taste as good as it used to. The sauce has no taste. Or the cheese is really bland. I have been eating this pizza for 30+ years now. Today was the second time I didn't feel like finishing 2 slices. The crust is still crispy. Just doesn't taste the same anymore. I understand inflation and all but don't lower the quality of the ingredients. read more

I grew up with this pizza place, it was my favorite all throughout my childhood and it's still seemingly owned by the same warm people as I went in there a couple of weeks ago, some 20 years later. I cannot how express in words how comforting it was to find the same familiar faces and smiles and the biggest shock was the pizza itself. It was still just as good (if not better) than it used to be. It seems they are using more cheese on their pizzas now than I recalled and trust me, I'm not complaining! My father loved the veal cutlet entree when I was a kid and I was so happy to enjoy it now. When I was a kid I would often get spaghetti and meatballs or cheese ravioli. It was nice to find it still all tasted the same all these years later. I remember when this place made the jump to two dollars a slice (when the average Brooklyn slice was 1.25 or 1.50 Everywhere else), but since no other pizza place came close to consistency or quality everyone I knew still ate there. It made sense to me that they would be 3 dollars a slice now while the local places are generally 2.50 a slice now. I don't mind paying an extra quarter a slice for quality! read more

This place is just poor. Every single time I give a specific order, usually for a FRESH calzone they just cut open a premade one and stuff whatever I asked for inside and reheat it. I make a point to order a freshly prepared calzone and that I will come back in thirty or forty minutes to collect it. Only once have I ever gotten what I actually wanted. Couple the poor customer service with the high prices and this place is a must skip. read more

Korner pizza is the best. Their slice is great and their pasta dishes are awesome. I will walk a 1/2 mile here before go the pizzeria 1 block away from my house. Get pasta with garlic and oil it's the best I ever had. read more

Well Yelpers..the pizza is ok, but after I heard the crusty old man behind the counter refer to Asian people as "Chinamen," I decided it would be my last visit to Korner Pizza. Maybe the "K" in Korner stands for something else. read more

I agree that the owners/employees are not that friendly, but that doesn't really bother me when I'm just going in for takeout. What does bother me is that their food sucks. If I'm starving and just want to stuff my face, i'll break down and get a slice to tide me over between the subway and my apt., but otherwise--never. I've tried their heros and they're bad. So you're hungry and give a neighborhood place a second chance. What a mistake! The "manager" Tony is arrogant and ignorant....bad combination! And a person I would not want representing my establishment. Rather than trying to please a customer, he become combative and defensive over whether a dish is cooked enough. If a customer is telling you their food is undercooked, then it's undercooked! What would be the purpose of a patron calling to say something is undercooked if it is not! duh??? And then the sarcastic twit had the nerve to say he'll have another prepared but he wants the undercooked one and he doesn't want it back 1/2 eaten! Who talks like that to patrons! This is a manager??? And how could anyone eat half of it, since it's undercooked in the first place. What a total idiot! Of course, he was a total dick and sent a new order totally overcooked....I assumed he would and had no intention of eating it any way. Because of the way he behaved on the phone and the manner in which he spoke to me, it was obvious he had no respect for the customers and I did not trust how the new order was prepared; or more to the point, what special additives might have been added. Called for a delivery and was told it would be 45 minutes. Waited for almost two hours for my delivery after being told the delivery was on its way. I received horrible customer service via phone and was cursed out for not accepting a cold delivery. read more

LIke others I think it's overpriced for a slice, and the one and only time I ever ordered by phone I waited an hour for baked ziti, had to call to make sure I wasn't forgotten, and then was overcharged (as if it wasn't expensive enough). I stopped ordering their mozza cheese sticks because of the price. It's a quick place to get a slice if you're just hungry and want a quick fix. Definetly overpriced, i've felt this way eversince i was 12 and paying for my own pizza, i always ran to joe and joe's, now that they are gone, korner rules the area, but ah ha there is a better pizzeria supposeably down on coney island ave- Rocky's. Good pizza. The people there don't have an attitude- they're just Italian. I've never heard them bicker loudly like the greek diner a block down. Kensington reviewers all seem a bit 'soft'. They get a decent amount of business. A slice is pricey, but I'm paying $3 in Manhattan, so it's not really that pricey. read more

The food and service here is unbelievably horrible!!! I ordered spaghetti and meat sauce from them once, which is the generically safe option from most Italian eateries. the delivery guy comes 2 hours late and then he goes how he had to get groceries for his wife and he gets pissed that i don't understand that he had to do that before he delivered the food, and on top of that the bread was really stale and hard and the meat sauce was overcooked and the spaghetti was flavorless and lacked salt or any type of moisture. To top that off they didn't give me any utensils and when i called the restaurant regarding the issue, the lady who works there says: I don't give utensils unless they are requested. Are you serious, how does one eat spaghetti and meat sauce in an office, which i did tell them i was in, eat without utensils. So I had to leave the office anyway and get a fork, which defeated the whole point of ordering for delivery in the first place. I would really recommend avoiding this place, walk the extra couple of blocks to xpress pizzeria on east 7th, you'll burn the calories on your way back and the pizza is not 2.75 a slice. No one should pay 2.75 a slice for mediocre pizza slice, less than decent entrees, and horrible service. read more

Great old school typical NY pizza. The one you can fold into a perfectly bite-able slice. Definitely a neighbourhood staple. Yes, delivery takes forever at times and they are not super cheap ( two slices will set you back six bucks) but it's has the perfect cheese to sauce ratio, the crust is soft yet not mushy and the taste is just right. They have a fairly large menu and their pasta dishes are quite good. There is a sizeable seating area. It's has been family-owned for ages. read more

Korner was the first place I ate at when I moved to Brooklyn. It was right down the street and almost every week my roommates and I would pick up a pie. Their garlic knots are AMAZING. Like, out of this world good. The pizzas are delicious, but the best thing for me was their Sicilian pies. They are GIGANTIC, but let me tell you, it's still the best pizza I've had. read more

I've eaten here many, many times throughout most of my life and this place still has the best Italian food in the entire neighborhood, even far better than the recent competition that moved in. Both their cheese and sauce are unique and delicious! Their pizzas, calzones, garlic knots, rice balls, and cannolis are the absolute best in Brooklyn. I'm only giving them 4/5 stars because I wish their prices were more affordable. Unfortunately, I can't eat here as often as I'd like due to the typical expensive NYC prices, but it's definitely worth eating here once you do have the money to spare. read more
