This restaurant has all things Korean. It was definitely a solid place for some yummy Korean food, with unlimited banchan and friendly employees. We decided to check out Korea House in Bothell, which is located along the Bothell-Everett Highway. It's a further trek than what we're used to, but our dinner was a great deal. Korea House has a large menu, with several different items, from KBBQ to different tofu soups, KFC, whole fish, etc. They have it all. With that said, it was difficult for us to choose what to get since we wanted it all; yet luckily, there is an option for two people: the house special for two. I highly recommend for couples to get this because it has a little bit of everything. It includes your choice of a soft tofu soup, beef short rib, mackerel, katsu chicken cutlet, fried dumplings, seaweed, rice and unlimited banchan. DO IT. While sipping on some complimentary tea, it wasn't too long for our feast to arrive. Everything started to come one after the other, with the tofu soup being the last to arrive. And the last to arrive was my favorite item of what we tried! You seriously must try the tofu soup here; it's so delicious! We got our tofu soup with pork and beef for some extra meaty goodness, and it was definitely a great bowl of piping hot soup, with soft tofu. It was exactly what I was looking for on a gray day. The broth was king. Everything else was good, but nothing compared to the tofu soup. Of the meat dishes we had, I liked the beef short ribs the most, since the marinade provided lots of flavor. It was a lot of food for two people, so we left with leftovers. For less than $50 for all this food, it was a great deal. I don't often trek to the Bothell-Everett Highway area, but am glad I did, now that I know Korea House is here. Wow..... The hidden gem in a Thrasher Corner's strip mall. The service is A+ with attentive care and even the chef coming out to greet us. New ownership is wonderful with an exception of waiting for their liquor license to serve soju and hot sake. But! When you're at Korea House, it's about the food... We ordered the bulgogi plain beef plate and it is deliciously loaded with onions and green onions! We also ordered the mixed combo (seafood + beef) soup, the mushroom soup and steamed eggs. Each entree is accompanied by purple steamed rice and plethora of amazing bonchon... You can tell a lot by a restaurant's kimchi! And Korea House takes the cake for having one of the best kimchis I've had. Pickled radish, fish cakes, seasoned beansprouts, kimchi-styled cucumber and potatoes are absolutely worth indulging. Very solid, authentic spot with quite large portions (the 3-person meal could probably feed 4 or 5 depending on appetites and if drinks are added). Plenty of seating, and it's obviously known locally as people continually streamed in on a Thursday evening for dinner. The basic function of a restaurant is to fix the problem of being hungry for a reasonable asking price, and since this restaurant cannot accomplish this simplest task it deserves the lowest rating. We paid over 60 dollars for a two person meal. The food quality was ok, not amazingly good or bad. But the serving amount was insulting for the menu price. We could have paid less at an all you can eat kbbq for more food of similar or better quality. The side dishes were also mediocre at best, and it's almost unfair to call them side dishes when you have to ask for 5 refills of kimchi and fish cake just to not leave hungry. I have to admit, this is one of those yummylicious places that I will forever keep coming back to for the following reasons: 1. Food here = 100% delicious. Honestly, after a few visits, every dish was soooooo tasty and good that I can't find fault with this. Portions are awesome, every dish is savory, and best of all, love the purple rice! After a friend of mine told me about this place pre-covid, and I've been meaning to come try it out. Well, that day finally came, but during the tough covid times. I came here in a sunny Sunday afternoon and did not have to wait long to be seated. Once my friend and I walked in masked up and all, we were greeted and seated. The employees were all masked up and they blocked off tables to allow for social distancing. I loved the seats here. It was very comfortable to sit on while dining. The restrooms were nice and clean. The decor of the restaurant were beautiful. As for the food review, well, the food was excellent! There was an abundance of side dishes and the main dishes were a great about for a party of two. It was so much food, I had to pack it to go. But let me tell you, their food is delicious! The kalbi was cooked well that it wasn't too overcooked or anything and the flavor was tasty. The service is fast and attentive; upon being seated we had the choice of water or tea and we got a kind of barley tea. We ordered the meat lover stew for the table, which was kind of like budae-jjigae. I'd say the serving size was meant for about 3-4 people, so it was pretty worth compared to other items on the menu. The stew was good but did get pretty salty from all the spam and sausages--I wish there were more veggies or tofu in the stew. I could actually taste all the different ingredients and they had so much flavor. My husband and I each ordered one and when we saw how big they were we thought we should have just shared but I'm glad we didn't because I couldn't stop taking "just one more bite". I had lunch here on Saturday 9/7 with my sister and dad after a morning of shopping. It was my first time there, while my dad and sister had been once before. They had had a great experience and loved the food when they came their first time - hence why we chose this place for lunch. It's located in a strip mall area on Bothell Everett highway and looks kinda small from the outside so it's easily missed. But once you get inside, it's quite spacious! The atmosphere is also more cozy with the lights a little dimmed and the windows shaded from the inside. We were seated right away in a spacious booth, which was perfect for our small group of 3. Once we sat down, we were able to take a look at the menu and order - our waiter seemed to be pretty on top of it with getting us seated, giving us water and checking in on what we wanted to order. My sister and I each ordered G8 - Dakgogi Ya-Che Deopbap, which is a rice dish that comes in a hot stone bowl with veggies and chicken. We asked our waiter if it came with a fried egg as well as we've seen that with traditional bibimbap, which it didn't, so we both added that to our dish (an extra $2). My dad had the A7 - Seokuh soon-doo-boo, a combination soft tofu soup with beef, pork, clam and green mussels. After ordering, a few minutes before our food came we received the side dishes in small bowls, which consisted of cucumbers, fish cakes, bean sprouts, kimchi, fried potato, radishes and pickled veggies. Our food was delicious!! I loved every part of the taste itself. I do wish I had received a little more chicken because I found myself having to look for it in my bowl at times. But it came out in a hot stone bowl, which kept the food warm for a long time. I had also asked for it to be mild, which it was, so I was able to add more spicy sauce if I wanted to. However, there's a few reasons from which I feel inclined to only give 3 stars: 1) After receiving our food, our waiter didn't come ask us even once how everything tasted or to refill our waters. My sister had to flag someone down to refill her water. 2) Our side dishes were also not refilled, until again, we flagged someone down - and that too only 2/7 of the dishes were actually refilled because we specifically asked for it. 3) Mine and my sister's dishes were about $13.95, for which I expected a larger portion size than we received. Plus, the addition of our 1 fried egg was $2! That was was a little ridiculous to me. 4) I also noticed that the restaurant really wasn't that busy, and our waiter would come to the rest of the tables around us but just not our table. This is my boyfriend and I's go-to spot for Korean food as it is close us. We usually split a soft tofu soup, kalbi, and rabokki. Orders also come with side dishes and a side of rice. I love the rabokki, the rice cake is just the right consistency and the flavor is great. You can also customize the spice level too! I've tried to find another restaurant that rivals this dish in my area but Korea House does it best in my opinion. They also give a generous portion of noodles for the addition. The soft tofu soup and kalbi are pretty good - not stellar but it hits the spot. I definitely need to try more on this menu! The only reason I'm docking a star is because of the price. It can be on the steeper side ($100 for these three dishes after tax and tip) but we are willing to pay for the convenience if we don't want to make a far trip. I come here every once in a while with my coworkers since it's right down the street from where I work. It's consistently good. The food is delicious and cooked well. The waitstaff are all super friendly and have always greeted us with huge smiles. You get hot tea here, and the banchan is pretty decent. They refill them as much as you want. I love their kim chi tofu soup, it always hits the spot. The bulgogi and galbi is cooked very well. The rice that comes with each entree is a purple grain rice that's actually pretty tasty. Everything is always clean and bright. It's not the best Korean food I've ever had, but still very good. The service here is really what sets it apart from other places. Korea House really has the monopoly on korean food from Bothell to Woodinville to Kirkland. There are no other options meaning no competition! They are owned and operated by the same family who previously owned Hosoonyi in Edmonds, which is one of my favorite korean restaurants. The food is definitely different though. The soondooboo has jalapeño peppers in it which I am not a fan of. But the taste is good. There is a ridiculous number of banchan (side dishes) so the variety is usually great. I enjoy the atmosphere and again, location location location. While this is not even close to my top 5 korean restaurants in WA, I will happily eat here when I need my korean fix. It gets quite busy here so don't be surprised if there is a wait. Although, they usually get you seated quite quickly regardless. read more

The worst Korean restaurant ever. Every staff at this place seemed unhappy and impatient. Th environment is dark and depressing. Bad service, nobody came offer help or refill water during the dining. When I asked for another side dish, they just threw the dish on top of an existing dish in front of me. The seafood pancake was 80% made of flour. Thick bread, almost no seafood inside, very few vegetables. We asked for taking it off from the bill. They declined. When we said we're not coming here again, they said ok good. Friendly service, great food, big portions, good prices...these guys have everything to offer. All the stuff that turns a place into a favorite is here. They're in a big strip mall with plenty of parking. You walk in and you're immediately sequestered from all the traffic noise; it's quiet, clean, comfortable, and they lower the shades on sunny days so you truly feel like you've stepped out of your busy day and into a relaxing place where you can get a good meal. The staff are so relaxed and cheerful; they clearly enjoy working together and they're right on point with every table visit. We got hot tea and cold ice water in a couple minutes, and we had huge menus in front of us right away. Page after page of entrees, appetizers, and basic drinks. We got the spicy pork bulgogi--a little on the sweet side for my mood, but you know I ate it until I got stuffed and still ate the rest of it for dinner that night. Plenty of onions, plenty of seasoning (mostly savory, despite the sweet), and every bite was super tender. The seafood pancake was perfectly fluffy and tender with tons of fresh seafood and veg inside. 2 slices left over, and those tasted great out of the air fryer with dinner later. The spicy squid was awesome, with interesting, complex seasonings layered over the whole dish. Every bite was tender and perfect. The banchan were really nice. Even the kimchi wasn't too spicy, but all had a full bounty of seasoning. The kitchen here knows how to push out big flavors even without a heavy hand on hot spices. We got 4 servings of food and a glass of 14 Hands chardonnay for $70 out the door, with tip. It seemed high until I thought about all the leftovers we took with us, and the generous pour of supermarket wine. This place takes care of business in every single way for lunch and dinner. What I love about Korea House is that the food is always consistent and I can count on it. We usually get the same few entrees as well and they are also delish. We have also tried; A3; Buhseot soon-doo-boo (mushroom soft tofu soup with meat) C1; Gah-Ja-Mi-Goo-Yi (pan fried flounder) G5; Dwegeegogi Deopbap (cooked assorted beggies and spicy pork on hot stone bowl) ^^ these items here are good. But the ones above there are even better and the ones we will always gravitate towards. It is always SO MUCH FOOD and it is so good and consistent and comes out super hot. I love all the side dishes that they bring out and you can always ask for more. I love the garlic beef because there are so many garlic cloves in there and they are so soft and good. And the glazed fried chicken is so crunchy and TO DIE FOR. My sisters love the ramen noodles and they are the perfect comfort food. One time we got the Dak-Gang-Jung and seemed like a lot smaller portion than we normally get. But of course we only notice this because we come here so often. And it seemed like it was not as hot. And I look over and saw another table with the same dish and they got a lot more. So who knows. My family usually asks for no peanuts because we have some members who are allergic. They forgot once and made a new one and gave us a discount. They are very kind and generous and discount things when they make a mistake. Or if one dish comes out a lot later than the others. And it was clear that others at the restaurant thought so as well. Now enough about service, the food was very good as well. My highest recommendation is to get the Garlic Pork Belly with Squid. The Squid was low key the highlight for me. The squid was not tough and had the classic squid taste that I usually do not get in other Korean restaurants. We also ordered Soft Tofu Soup and it was good as well. FYI, the menu says their spicy level is mild, spicy. But when I asked for spicy, they also offered EXTRA SPICY for both the orders. I love spiciness so this was a HUUUUUUGE plus for me. Would come again! Also, although the restaurant name is the same as the one in Marysville, the owner is different!
