Place got a little busy on a Sunday evening. Service was just ok. Servers didn't come check in on us after giving us the food. We asked for water refills multiple times and also asked for to-go boxes a few times before they brought it out to us. Food was decent, kind of pricey. The chicken tteok- bokki was pretty good and flavorful.

We ordered the house special combo Two people could easily share it; it was plenty of food The price was super reasonable, and we were surprised by how much food we got! The short ribs were unbelievably tender. Seriously, I'm curious how they make them so delicious They also have Korean BBQ here. Remember to make a reservation or get on the waitlist ahead of time, then go shopping. Otherwise, you'll be waiting a long time

The food was fantastic and came out quickly, and the interior of the restaurant was clean and casual. We were seated immediately and were brought hot tea and silverware/plates. Our waiter came back a while later and took our order, we saw him again when he brought our plates, and then a final time when he dropped off the check. A check-in or two would have been nice, but it did offer us time to have relaxed and uninterrupted conversation. The prices are comparable to any other restaurant in the area, and we will absolutely be back to try more of the menu.

Steve and I paid a visit to Korea House not too long ago and we liked the food we had quite a bit! I got Chicken Katsu and Gyoza Dumplings which very good! Steve got a kind of soup with which he liked pretty well too. The Gyoza and the Katsu was prepared very well and was quite enjoyable! But I started to get full and had some leftovers to take home. As with many Korean restaurant style experiences we got all kinds of little dishes of delicious things to snack on along with our meal. All of it was very good! Definitely a rewarding experience coming here!

Delicious veggies and offer cold noodles on a hot summer day. Plenty of parking in the lot. Service was kind and tea was good. For the chicken, it wasn't flavorful enough IMO but might be ok if you like dark meat chicken. Bulgogi was thinly sliced and easy to chew. Beautiful presentation all around. Will definitely be back to try kalbi and stews.

I ordered food for to go few times lately. Staff has been always greeted me right away, but not memorable. Food are good. The price is pretty pricey. I guess it's common now for many Korean restaurants, sadly. The restaurant needs some love for sure. It shows lots of signs of wear & tear. Hopefully, it gets some fresh touch soon, so customers will feel it's a nice & clean restaurant.

This place is located in a strip mall square with plenty of free parking right off of the main road. So is really easy to locate. It is a larger space and I wouldn't say anything extravagant about the exterior or interior, but it is clean and comfortable. Service is always very fast and you are usually greeted and seated right away. There always seems to be a cute Korean server too, which is always a plus. I wouldn't say they go above and beyond in terms of service (like you have to ask for more water), but they are friendly. This is comfortable for families with younger children too. Menu is large and covers most American Korean favorites and some more traditional Korean foods also. They could go heavier on spice and the food is good. Definitely a spot i come back to, but I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had. Overall, always a good experience here.

Pricey but very good tasting Korean food. Being visiting from L.A. I noted the following: side dishes smaller in quantity and portion size, tofu soups have little heat whether "mild" or "regular". Galbi short ribs are smaller and less meaty.. A tofu soup combo will set you back $30 (less in L.A.)

Delicious! We finally made it here. The smell and the sizzling dishes coming out made me drool. Kids got ramen. Could have easily shared one ramen bowl between 2 kids. The kimchi pancake was yummy and HUGE!!! The garlic pork belly dish was sizzling goodness...very large portion as well. You need at least 4 adults for these dishes. The prices make more sense when you see the portion size. I actually wish they had half portions for less money. I would never come here alone. You must come in a large group of foodies to share. Lots of tables and decent service.

Delicious! The food here is delicious and big servings! The service was spot on, always making sure we were ok and never wanting. The ambiance is very comfortable! 11 of us had dinner here on July the 3rd. It is truly a wonderful restaurant! Lots of delicious food to eat. Please see the pictures below but there were a bunch of dishes ordered and everyone loved their meals plus the apoetizers! Come here's for some very delicious food! We will be back the next time we are in the area!!

We visited for dinner and were immediately seated. We ordered the fried dumplings for appetizer, two soup noodles (beef Short ribs and chicken) and the chicken Fried rice for entrees. The dumplings were good and came with some soy sauce dipping. Both the soup dishes were good. They were very hot, so it took us some time before we could start enjoying. The Chicken Fried Rice was the best. It tasted more like the Thai version, and we loved it. The place was not too crowded and not too loud. The person who helped us was very patient and helped us with a smile all the time. Really appreciate their service. Will definitely visit again.

There was no wait for a table for four on a Saturday night (the restaurant was never more than halfway full). We are in the middle of a cold wave this month (temperatures are in the teens during the day in Seattle), but I was still disappointed that the restaurant felt like it was 55 to 60°F. That's pretty chilly for a restaurant. Wait stuff were kind and service was prompt. The restaurant is in the middle of a strip mall, and the decor inside is nice, but not fancy. As as the food goes, we were happy but not that impressed. We ordered the "garlic chicken bulgogI", the "yache paa-jun" (vegetable pancake), and the pork deopbap, and it was plenty of food for four adults (the wait staff recommended we order one more dish but I'm glad we did not). The garlic chicken bulgogi was very impressive (I would invite foodies to try it!), but the other dishes were just good. If I lived nearby, I would come back occasionally, but this restaurant is pretty out-of-the-way for us, so I do not plan on coming back.

Did the ownership change recently? I went today... no familiar faces. My 3 year old asked where hyung-ah (older bro) is... food also not the same...

Same owners, they just hired more people, they are about to open another location in Maryville

Can you barbecue your food yourself here? And do they serve the potato salad?

Marie is right. No potato salad and no grills.

When we had left just a few minutes shy of 12pm, the restaurant was full and there were a few parties waiting outside. The staff were very attentive and would immediately replenish our radish if we were low. The jjamppong and jjajangmyeon tasted fine, if anything the jjajangmyeon was a little sweet. The fried rice however (without the jjajang sauce) was pretty bland and a bit dry. I don't know if it's intentional because they give the sauce on the side but I'd like to have the rice taste good without the assistance of the sauce. Other than the bland and dry rice, my only other nitpick would be that the jjajangmyeon came out a lot later than the other dishes. Otherwise we paid around $117 (without tip), for five dishes and two appetizers, which I think is pretty good for this area.

I was expecting a noodle forward Korean place but it's a Chinese Korean fusion place. I struggle with fusion food.... The place was not busy on a Wednesday night and seated immediately with very quick and kind service throughout with very nice ladies! A little plate of pickled Daikon was immediate and oddly refilled before gone. No ban Chan here though which disappointed me! I can live on the little Korean pickled snacks! Menu is QR code. Very clean restaurant with ample parking. We ordered the beef and noodle soup and they were great at backing out the other seafood for me beyond prawns. We also got the pork cooked in a sauce with rice and a fried egg on top. Food came quite fast. The noodle dish was good but sort of spicy and very gochujang heavy. But I liked the broth. It didn't like me the next day. It was essentially a stir fried beef prawns and vegetables in a Kimchee soup style with basically large spaghetti noodles. I'm pretty sure most of this came from the chef store next door. Not fresh or unique noodles. I would order this again if I went there. The pork dish was really a very sweet gloppy mess with a nice mound of rice topped with a fried egg. We didn't eat much of this and took it home. Maybe my wife will eat the leftovers?? Overall I am generous here with 4 stars, mostly for service, and we are on the fence over returning again. Decent food but just not our "jamb". Ultimately we ate the leftover spaghetti soup (I felt ill after) but threw out most of the gloppy sweet pork dish and rice packed in a cardboard box that dried out! If you like the different home cooked Korean dishes instead of KBBQ you may like this place.

You really taste the spice if you ask for it. In long We've been talking about kimchi fried rice for 3 weeks, and finally got an order in. We're trying to cook at home more these days, but we opened the app and we were total suckers for the special. It was just a few bucks off, but when we built the order, it was 2-for-1, so we have an awesome pile of leftovers now. Showed up fast, still plenty hot. Kimchi fried rice Awesome chewy texture, great spicy tart kimchi flavor, savory fried egg on top with extra seasoning just on the egg. We got our 2-for-1 on the rice, and the portion is pretty big, so we will get at least 4 servings out of this. Tofu mushroom soup Ordered 4 stars, and there's actual noticeable kick to it, which not every place does. Excellent flavors. For $25, 2 little cups doesn't seem like much, so if I see that 2-for-1 again I might put it in on the soup instead of the rice. We're trying to think of delivery these days as a rare treat, and this place more than met the mark. We had a dozen other dishes in the cart before we could make up our minds, too. The whole menu here looks great.

The first time I came to Modoo Hansang, I found a long hair in my soup, then a long hair in my rice. I left quickly without finishing much of anything, but the situation was taken care of by the manager. I understand this could just be a bad day, a fluke of sorts... so about 7 months later, I came back to give it another shot. They have a decently extensive menu, and they have a lunch set that is half-sized portions. I got the soondooboo and the galbi lunch set, and it was a good amount of food for one. The side dishes aren't really your traditional side dishes, and they're presented very beautifully. It makes you feel like you're fine dining. The flavor seemed a bit more fusion than traditional. They also give apps like california rolls, salad, and soup. (My gripe is that they should have used a miso dressing instead of an Italian dressing that tastes like it came from a bottle for the salad.) Overall, you order your entree, and you get what feels like a 5 course meal. Went at 1:00 PM on a Saturday, but it wasn't busy at all. I can imagine a line out the door during peak hours. I ordered the mushroom soft tofu stew (sundubu-jjigae) + pork bulgogi combo (medium spicy), and my wife ordered the Galbitang. The food arrived 10-15 minutes after ordering, despite three more tables arriving and placing orders around the same time - I noticed they got their food within the same window. This place is efficient. The sundubu-jjigae arrived in a stone pot, broth running surprisingly clear and light for how substantial it tasted. The pork bulgogi came out still sizzling on a cast iron skillet over a wooden board - the kind of presentation that makes the table next to you immediately regret their order. Portion-wise, the pork felt slightly light for a $28 combo relative to everything else on the table. The banchan deserves its own mention: eight-ish dishes - kimchi, bean sprouts, gyeran mari (beautifully golden rolled egg), seasoned greens, braised tofu, pickled daikon, and a couple more I'm still trying to identify. None of it felt like filler - the kind of sides you keep reaching for absentmindedly mid-conversation until they're gone. The rice was a multigrain mix (purple-black grains) rather than plain white, a small detail that signals care for the fundamentals. My wife's galbitang arrived looking like a commitment - massive short rib bones in a rich, clean broth that meant business before you'd even picked up a spoon. She ended up so full we packed the rice and half the dish to go. When your takeout bag solves dinner that evening, that's a PORTION SIZE WIN. One last detail worth calling out: they proactively offered me an apron since I was eating spicy food in a white polo. Small gesture, real thoughtfulness - and apparently aprons are limited, so I appreciated being asked first.

We arrived around 5PM on a Wednesday and there was no wait, but the restaurant began to be busy an hour later. There is compact parking in front of the restaurant, but more spots available to the side of the lot. We ordered: Soft Tofu Stew - I love the kimchi they serve. Their kimchi is a little more spicy and pungent than what other restaurants serve, but that is exactly how it should be. Yukgaejang - A hearty and nourishing soup. Plenty of broth, beef, and leafy vegetables to even take home afterwards (you can see with the depth of the bowl). LA Kalbi & Pork Belly - Generous portions for the price. LA Kalbi was the favorite for the night, but pork bely was also just as good. Served on a hot platter it was nice that the meats remained warm even towards the end of meal. Tteok-Bokki - So so much.
