Went with friends since it's the closest Korean restaurant on the east side. We ordered the combo special with soondubu, bulgogi, spicy pork, and fried and sweet and chili chicken. The restaurant is clean and medium-sized compared to others in the area, and the server was friendly. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations, so I'd rate it 3 stars. The soups lacked depth--the broth tasted mostly like spicy water. The bulgogi seemed under-marinated and didn't have much flavor. The fried chicken was drenched in sauce, which attracted flies while we ate, and the meat inside was blan

This restaurant is part of a chain and is located in downtown Bothell, the same shopping complex as the Safeway. There is plenty of parking spots in front of the establishment. The inside is spacious, but somewhat dirty. However, the server was very nice and took our orders soon after we were seated. We tried the Korean spicy fried chicken and the pork bulgogi and soft tofu soup combo. The dinner entrees came with many side dishes as well, and they were delicious. I liked the spicy fried chicken, but I do wish they weren't as heavy on the sauce. It was so soaked that the skin lacked its signature crunchiness. The pork bulgogi and the soup were both very well made. Overall, the food here is great, but somewhat pricier than the average Korean restaurant.

I was happy to find this location of this restaurant because the Redmond location is closed and will have to be moved to a new location because their building is being torn down for condos. This location is much smaller, but it is good. There's only one person hosting and serving, but somehow they managed to keep up and keep all the tables served and replenished. Impressive. This person needs a raise. They are keeping this business going in a positive way. I only had the hot bibimbap this time because it was lunch. It was very good. Space is clean and inviting. The food the other customers were getting also looked very good. I will definitely be returning.

Ordered spicy cold noodle. It was very delicious! If only with protein option besides half of boil egg would be better. Chicken gangjung for appetizer was good too. I would order both again next time.

Always a great experience at Stone in Bothell. The Kalbi and Nengmyun for me are always my go to favorites, and they have excellent side dishes (BanChan) as well. Look forward to coming back soon!

I love this location of Stone! They have THEEEE BEST sundubu and really good kimchi fried rice. I also loveee their bonchons. As a fellow Korean this restaurant has my seal of approval;) Stone is a great restaurant for families, friends, and solo meals. The food here is so comforting and delicious and service is super fast and friendly. They also have the good soju too. I have been coming here for years and it has still been my favorite location for good sundubu!

Service was noticeably slow on this Saturday afternoon around 1pm, which appeared to be attributed to limited staff. We were asked to put our name down on a clipboard waitlist and told it would be a 15 minute wait, despite half the tables being vacant. We were seated within about 10 minutes, and it took about 15 minutes for our server to come to take our order. For 3 adults, we opted to share the Chicken Bulgogi and Soft Tofu Soup (with beef) combo (which comes with a bowl of rice), a kimchi pancake, and added an extra bowl of rice. The kimchi pancake and banchan came out first. We were shocked how big the pancake was, definitely could be shared between up to 6 people. The pancake was not super spicy, as one would expect, and it was crispy. And the dipping sauce that came with it was a good pairing. My favorite of the banchan were the pickled cucumbers, wasn't really a fan of the other offerings (which included kimchi, broccoli, fish cake slices, some jelly appearing dish with a soy sauce glaze, and bean sprouts). The tofu soup was good, the tofu was super soft, there was a good amount of thinly sliced beef. I felt it was pretty comparable to the other soft tofu soups I've had at other Korean restaurants, certainly not worth the $18 they charge for it as a stand-alone entree. Chicken bulgogi also nothing special, though the chicken was tender and juicy. Tasted like a slightly better version of chicken teriyaki. Came out to be $55 for the items we got, and we walked away with some leftovers. Overall an okay experience. If I come back, I'd want to try the fried chicken - it looked really good sitting on the table next to us!

Nice clean restaurant with tasty food and sides. Portions are just a tad small for the dinner prices but overall good food and friendly service, frequently checking in on us.

We went for gan jjajang and brisket jjampong, which are not the standard ones that come in the combo meal with tang su yuk, but our server kindly made it into a combo meal. I think these special versions are definitely better than the standard ones which we've tried before here. So much more flavor! The price is quite reasonable and the service was friendly and fast. The restaurant was quite clean! If you're craving Korean Chinese food, I'd recommend here over the newer restaurants in the area.

When we had left just a few minutes shy of 12pm, the restaurant was full and there were a few parties waiting outside. The staff were very attentive and would immediately replenish our radish if we were low. The jjamppong and jjajangmyeon tasted fine, if anything the jjajangmyeon was a little sweet. The fried rice however (without the jjajang sauce) was pretty bland and a bit dry. I don't know if it's intentional because they give the sauce on the side but I'd like to have the rice taste good without the assistance of the sauce. Other than the bland and dry rice, my only other nitpick would be that the jjajangmyeon came out a lot later than the other dishes. Otherwise we paid around $117 (without tip), for five dishes and two appetizers, which I think is pretty good for this area.

They sat us at a relatively private area since we are here with a toddler that requires a high chair. We ordered the lunch special Kalbitang ($22.99), Bossam set ($23.99), and the spicy chive pancake ($9.99). They provided kids utensil and a plate, which is super helpful even though we didn't ask for it. Our food came after 10-15 min of wait, and there were 10 side dishes (all of them are delicious btw). We also got a side salad and fish cake soup, which might be a lunch special thing? I'm not sure. I'm not a big fan of the salad dressing, but it's complimentary so no complaints there. Everything we ordered was delicious. There were tons of chives in the pancake, and the meat was tender in kalbitang. My toddler also ate a lot of pork, beef, rice, eggs (in kalbitang), and broccoli. The only downside is that there is only one waiter taking care of orders/bills, so it could be a bit slow. However, everyone was friendly to my toddler and a waitress came to check on us in the middle of our meal too. She also smiled at my toddler as well. The only downside is that we asked for tea, but we got water instead. I had to ask again, but that mistake is really minor. I prefer this location over the Lynwood one as that one is always way too busy and super noisy. It's quieter here and the ambiance is better. Overall, we had a good time dining here with our toddler. The first time I came to Modoo Hansang, I found a long hair in my soup, then a long hair in my rice. I left quickly without finishing much of anything, but the situation was taken care of by the manager. I understand this could just be a bad day, a fluke of sorts... so about 7 months later, I came back to give it another shot. They have a decently extensive menu, and they have a lunch set that is half-sized portions. I got the soondooboo and the galbi lunch set, and it was a good amount of food for one. The side dishes aren't really your traditional side dishes, and they're presented very beautifully. It makes you feel like you're fine dining. The flavor seemed a bit more fusion than traditional. They also give apps like california rolls, salad, and soup. (My gripe is that they should have used a miso dressing instead of an Italian dressing that tastes like it came from a bottle for the salad.) Overall, you order your entree, and you get what feels like a 5 course meal. Went at 1:00 PM on a Saturday, but it wasn't busy at all. Got seated immediately, and there were 2-3 other parties dining as well. Modoo Hansang gets the job done if you're craving a hearty Korean meal~

After ordering a beer/soju tower, our server asked for our IDs, which is completely understandable. However, she proceeded to examine them for an uncomfortably long time while repeatedly looking back and forth between my face, my ID, and my sister. She then told me I "don't really look like" my ID photo because my hair is different and even commented that my ID looked more like my sister than me. We're twins! At one point she had both of our IDs side-by-side comparing them while continuing to question things. I finally told her that while I understand validating IDs, the interaction was making me feel like the legitimacy of my ID was being questioned. What made it even more awkward was her repeatedly commenting that the tower we ordered was "a lot of beer," which honestly felt judgmental and unnecessary. We are clearly adults, presented valid IDs, and were simply ordering something from the menu. That said, the actual food was delicious. The BBQ combo we ordered was excellent, the sides were plentiful, and overall the meal itself was really enjoyable. It also seemed like the server realized the interaction had gone poorly because she later brought us complimentary soup and dessert, which we did appreciate. We still tipped well because we understand serving isn't easy and wanted to be fair. But honestly, the initial interaction left such an uncomfortable impression that if I returned and saw the same server again, I'd probably immediately feel uneasy. There's absolutely a professional way to verify IDs without making customers feel scrutinized or subtly accused of fraud.
