What a wholesome establishment! My mom who frequents this place was particularly aware of the difference in quality of food and service. We learned that the owners changed just 10 days ago. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. They refilled our tea and banchan several times. The fish cake is my favorite but I was also taken by some new additions I haven't had before, namely the pink pickled radish and sweet cucumber kimchi. The husband was telling us how the ingredients are bought fresh from the market everyday. The wife is the head chef and worked previously at the restaurant as an employee before transitioning to being the owner along with her husband. Their son also works at the restaurant. The lunch specials are from 11-3. I got the spicy stew with the beef brisket for $13.95. I asked for spicy and it wasnt very spicy just the standard Korean level. However you can ask to decrease the spiciness with the waiter/waitress and they can accommodate your request. I thought the soup was done well. Had pieces of the soft tofu with soft pieces of brisket. Loved the fact I didn't have to ask them for the purple rice, they automatically hand it out. Banchan is decent. They had the fish cakes, fried potato and, kimchi and more. Service was good and they kept refilling our barley tea without any of us having to wave them down. read more

BELIEVE IN THE HYPE! This place is not only so good, but also incredibly hospitable. Expect a wait at any time of day, but it's worth it - they treat everyone wonderfully. When we were called up, we sat at a table where a lot of sunshine was filtering through. Without saying anything, one guy - who I believe was the manager - taped some paper on the window so we wouldn't be blinded by the sun anymore. Then the food came - lots of yummy banchan, the spicy galbi was delicious as was the kimchi sundubu. Yum! After we paid, we got up and left... and then heard the manager running after us just as we got into the car. My boyfriend forgot his card there and the manager ran into the parking lot just to give it back to him. A+++ service. Specific shout out to Morrison! My boyfriend and I came here needing some "good for the soul" food, because we had just celebrated his 30th birthday the night before. (You know how that story goes.) We have been here 3 times together and the food is ALWAYS delicious. I grew up on home-cooked authentic Korean food and it tastes just as good as my mom used to make. This place feels like home away from home. Morrison is extremely personable and has such a fun bubbly personality. He makes the entire experience at the restaurant that much better just because he has such an upbeat attitude every time we come here. Since it was our 3rd time here, we had to make a point to get his name to make sure he was recognized for his amazing customer service and personality. One of the better Korean spots I've eaten. By far the best bang for your buck. We've eaten at other Korean spots around Seattle. Korean spots are usually expensive and the portions are hit or miss. This spot game both generous portions and reasonably priced. We got the combo special for 2 and the quality of the food was great. We got enough to bring a good amount of leftovers home. Service was S L O W, and not Covid friendly (using water and tea pitchers to refill, no hand sanitizers or disposable menus or utensils available, server eating at the counter where customers can see). The spicy pork was so good last time, this time it tasted strange, almost reminded me of candied hot links. Soups were both okay but not very hot. All the banchan was very mediocre. Kimchi Pancake first off was thick as Chicago style pizza pie in result it was very doughy. Normally Kimchi pancakes are 1/2 inch thick and semi burnt orange in color and well this was no where near that. I have been visiting Korea house ever since they opened several years ago, but on my recent visit I learned it is under a new owner. The food still taste really good and the staff is very nice; however some of their recipes have changed and for die hard folks at Korea House have noticed. I know for my go dishes, they still taste just as good as before. One of the reviews was about their Korean Chicken Wings...they are no longer chicken wings, but similar to popcorn chicken which was a disappointment specially since I was expecting wings. Also each family has their own kimchee recipe and you can tell the difference too, but its a settle difference. Still very good. I wish the new owners continued success as it was with the prior owners and will surely miss the old owners. With that said, I do think the staff/owner do need to make some changes when it comes to reservation. Finally last time we went for dinner around 5 the place was packed, but they had over 4 tables reserved that sat empty for over an hour...either they set a policy for holding reserved tables for 30 minutes and then seating walk-ins if the reservation does not show. read more

Oh, Korea House is such a treat! We ordered the house special for two, and it was a legitimate feast. So much food! BBQ beef short ribs, fried chicken, mackerel, dumplings, tofu soup, and side dishes. Eat item was so tasty, and we had quite a bit leftover (which we love). We also got the seafood pancake, and it was HUGE! Way bigger than I expected. It was crammed with seafood, like squid, clams, and shrimp, so be sure you love seafood if ordering. I can't wait to try the kimchi and veggie versions. We will definitely order from here again when we have a very hungry stomach. read more

The Korea House used to be one of our favorite places to go but no longer. Today I went to get their used to be awesome spicy and sweet chicken (Dark-Gang-Jung with Peanut) with peanuts but no more!!! They used to use real big chicken pieces but what we got looked like little marble sized processed chicken balls??!! Called them questioning if I ordered the wrong dish and was told they changed to these chicken balls since January??!! I can understand if they changed this for now because of the challenging situation for restaurants, but having made this change and raised the price at the same time back in January is really disappointing especially the quality we are used to getting from this really good restaurant. I could have ordered some chicken nuggets and covered it with bottled sweet and spicy sauce and it would've been similar. New owners since right before COVID. Every time this happens, we cross our fingers and hope the food doesn't suffer. Good news, the food is still good, now the previous owners had exceptional banchan which rotated weekly which the new owner doesn't do (the one disappointment is the banchan selection which is pretty ordinary and nothing special) however, the soups and pancake, and even their bbq meats are still pretty tasty. We liked the place but..... We have been here at least 3 times. We came for lunch today and got seated immediately. The server asked us if we preferred water or tea. My wife replied with "both, water and tea", I answered him with the same. He said that it's "water or tea, a table can't have both", I find that really that they would have a weird drink restrictions. What's next fork or chopsticks, not both. Sometimes, to celebrate a birthday, you need Korean food. Thank you Korea House for providing delicious food for a special occasion. We ordered the bulgogi, jap chae and mandu . Everything was seasoned perfectly, filled with flavor and filling. The side dishes were yummy and we emptied most of the bowls. We were stuffed silly and brought home half the bulgogi (and it was the small size!) and almost half of the jap chae. Everyone we interacted with there were super friendly and attentive. I believe the owner was right in the middle of the action and bringing things out to tables. The restaurant isn't huge but is spacious and comfortable. There were a number of families with small children as well as a variety of other guests. We went in at about 5 on a Sunday and were seated immediately when we left, there was a bit of a wait and the place was happenin. Don't let the restaurant in a strip mall appearance fool you. This was our first time dining in since February! Location: There is plenty of parking as it's located in a plaza along Bothell Everett Highway. Dropped in around lunch time. The weather was nice and door was kept open for ventilation. We were one of three couples and were sat every other table. Restaurant seemed clean overall, utensils packaged (not reusable), and staff is friendly and masked up - we felt generally safe. They are using reusable menus and don't provide hand sanitizer but we had our own or you could use the restroom. We ordered dumplings (steamed/boiled), chicken katsu, and kimchi tofu soup. Food was piping hot and brought out in a timely manner and came with purple rice ++ banchan (kimchi, marinated bean sprouts, pickled cucumber and radish, marinated fish cake). Since we were starving, this hit the spot. Portions were decent for the price and we left with full bellies. I'd give this place a thumbs up and will go back in the future. read more

The last time I went to this restaurant was years ago and I loved it. It was just down the road and the food was very tasty. However, I returned and it was definitely not the restaurant I remembered it to be. I don't know if they changed owners or something but the food was average compared to the price. The one thing that disappointed me the most was the service. Right as we entered, one of the servers seemed annoyed at us. He had curly-ish hair and was very passive aggressive to us when we ordered. It seemed like he didn't like when my family spoke a different language. The pancake here is sooo good! We got the seafood one and I don't even really like seafood but it was amazing. The pancake itself is huge. The outer layer is perfectly crispy with a hot, dense, moist center. Probably the best Korean pancake I've had so far.
