    Truck
    Akiko I.

    - Locale Destination - It's a food truck. I guess you can find them either FaceBook or Twitter. Everybody bought it with cash, so I believe CASH only.. Most trucks are like that. - Gluttony Expedition - - $3 for regular size and $4 for large size shaved ice. - You buy the shaved ice, and can pick flavors out of 10 syrups (you can pick whatever you like - there's a section with self dispensers). I think the syrups tasted a little thicker than normal Hawaiian ones. Interesting flavors. - The shaved ice is very chunky. I'm very spoiled by amazingly fluffy Taiwanese shaved snow :p So I'm not a fan of this. - They also have ice candy bars. - Conqueror's Deduction - It might be good for die-hard Hawaiian shaved ice fans or kids. But some Hawaiian shaved ice isn't chunky like this. So I don't say I don't like it. I just prefer the fluffy Taiwanese shaved snow. It's kinda cool that you can pour whatever the syrups you want by yourself, but that's about it. I'm not a fan of this "chunky" shaved ice.

20 flavors, free condensed milk, Mochi, Vanilla Ice Cream. Sour Spray... Sadly this truck doesn't offer any of that. The menu is real simple, buy a small or large Styrofoam cup of ice, and help yourself to one of the 10 flavors they do have. The self-serve flavor is a great concept on paper; but how much syrup does one put on? Believe it or not there is too much of a good thing. Why not at least put up a sign saying how many pumps is best? it isn't bad, because I think bad shave ice is impossible, but it really isn't any better than a Slush Puppie at an anonymous gas station mini-mart. I had a large for $4.00 and and chose Tigers Blood and Pina Colada Flavors. Neither one was outstanding. I don't know if they make their syrups from scratch or buy the bottles at Smart and Final. Either way they were underwhelming. "Gourmet Food Truck #91 on my never-ending quest to try every truck in So Cal"

It tastes the best. Better than ice cream. I got the combination of cherry, coconut and vanilla. I liked that it uses natural ingredients.

We paid for the shaved ice on Saturday, and it was such a hit, we ended up paying for more so we didn't run out.

They have a plethora of options on the menu from *ceremonial grade* (very important) matcha, fruity refreshers, caffeinated drinks, black sesame drinks and mochi related items. They are known for their shaved ice options with fruit! I wanted to try their classic Injeolmi but when I came, they were still making some ingredient in it that wasn't going to be ready for like 5 to 10 minutes. I was in a rush to get back to work so I didn't wanna wait that long. Instead, I got the ube mochi waffle. it was quite delicious! I could definitely taste the high-quality ingredients. The service was pretty quick & there was only me and three other people. The interior was very modern and clean. The reason why I gave this place a four stars instead of five is the parking! parking here throughout the day and night is just a nightmare. There's underground parking but it's kind of creepy. Not their fault though. It is what it is. Overall, HEYBINGS is great!

We tried the mango sago dessert and the double skin milk with fresh fruit--both were super fresh, not overly sweet, and had that comforting homemade texture. Rich but still easy to drink, not heavy or artificial tasting. Service was friendly and patient, even when it got a bit busy. Everything came out quickly and nicely presented. We arrived around 6:30 PM on Saturday (7/25) and were instructed by the hostess (Asian young lady) to join the waitlist, where we were listed as party #1. Shortly after, a party of five arrived and was listed as #2. After about 10 minutes, multiple tables were cleared. However, the hostess permitted party #2 to bypass the waitlist and be seated ahead of us after a member (the mother) of their party approached the hostess. When I inquired why the queue sequence was not being followed, the hostess unhelpfully claimed we had arrived at the same time, completely disregarding the fact that she had explicitly numbered us sequentially on the list. To make matters worse, that same party then took a chair from our newly assigned table without asking. Frustrated by the clear lack of organization and fair treatment, we decided to leave. *** Management Note: Please implement proper training for your front-of-house staff. If customers are required to use a waitlist, it MUST be honored sequentially. Allowing guests to cut the line sets a poor business standard and ruins the customer experience.

This week were herbal tea samples! :))) Meet Fresh is a Twainese dessert chain focus on shaved ice with red bean soup desserts and boba. I stopped to try their matcha dessert along with a Hong Kong egg waffle, and both really hit the spot. The matcha latte was not overly sweet, with that slightly bitter, earthy taste you want from good matcha. That said, the Thai Ice tea is good but desserts feel a bit watered down compared to what I remembered. The base prices seem reasonable at first, but once you start adding toppings or upgrades, the total climbs quickly and can be a little shocking at checkout. The HK matcha egg waffle was fresh, warm, and had that perfect contrast: crispy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside. It's a simple item, but when done right like this, it's super satisfying. Honestly, it pairs really well with the matcha desserts. There a several tables to enjoy your teas.

Came here the other day to catch up with a friend and we both really enjoyed it. This spot is located inside an Asian market next to a dumpling place, and they had so many different desserts to choose from that I honestly couldn't decide I ended up playing it safe and got the bubble waffle with red bean filling. The waffle itself was really good.. crispy on the outside and soft inside. I just wish the red bean filling was a little more smooth and pasty instead of having whole beans, but it still tasted really good either way. My friend also got one of their pudding-style desserts and we both loved it because it wasn't overly sweet at all. Perfect balance of sweetness and super refreshing after eating. Definitely planning to come back to try more of their desserts because everything looked so good. Thank you for the yummy sweets ... you've officially gained a forever customer
