Amazon returns are now located in the back of the store near the returns desk. This isn't handy if you have heavy items to carry. An employee no longer opens the sole entrance doors. Women's racks have been relocated back to their original locations in the middle of the store without regard for social distancing. Expect to rub elbows with other shoppers in the narrow aisles. Overall, the store remains a pleasant place to shop with the exception of the clearance aisles and employees' refusals to open the entrance doors upon request. read more

Kohl's, in my opinion, is a step up from WalMart, but a step down from Target. They are structured like Macy's, but with lower prices and mostly lower quality items, but not always. They have plenty of name brand stuff like Nike, but they also carry stuff from the Kardashians, Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez etc. I like to come here and purchase their gym clothes. Huge variety of all sorts of sporty attire and during sales very affordable. It's a great place to buy stuff for the home at inexpensive prices and they offer a lot of times huge discounts for using their Kohl's card. If you join their mailing list, you'll receive huge discount coupons, 20% to 30% and then if you use your Kohl's charge card, at times, they will give you an additional discount. I like that this location has enough cashiers to keep the lines moving. Nothing like standing in line holding your purchase items for 15 minutes. Makes me cranky! LOL! read more

Went to Kohl's Dec. 2nd. I was sent a coupon 20% off. The line to pay was over 6 deep, only 2 open cashiers.I waited 20 minutes plus. When I finally got there, I was told my 20% coupon will not be honored, due to exclusions hidden deep in the misleading ad. Sadly, the Simi Kohl's is not my fave. I usually will go out of my way to drive out to the one in Moorpark simply because it is kept organized and clean. On top of that, it just seems that when it is super busy you can see employees just chit chatting off to the side and not helping the craziness. This has happened more often than not for me and I think that is a bummer. (I dont remember the last time I waited long in line at the Moorpark location... hmm...) This black Friday, things were VERY unorganized and regardless of it being black Friday, I shouldn't have to wait well over an hour to purchase 4 things at 11am! All in all Kohl's saves me tons of money all of the time and you can't beat the deals you get, esp. if you have a Kohls chard card! I love Kohl's period, just not a fan of the local one... P.S. NEVER purchase your Keurig cups here -- seriously Kohl's?? $18.99 for 18 cups??? on sale for $13.99?? I dont usually like shopping at the kohls in Simi just because the people that work there if you can find one arent the most helpful nor the most friendly but I would like to comment on the friendly service I recieved from wendy my cashier today. She was cheery from the moment. I walked in the door. She made checking out so pleasant. Was nice and chatted with me and was helpful. It is actually the second time she was my cashier and she was just as wonderful the first time. She makes me rethink shopping at the moorpark one. I also should say the store was pretty much a disaster when I went in at about 3pm. I visited the ladies bras and panties and there was stuff all over the floor and nothing was in order and it was the same in the junior clearance. I did how ever get 20% off and had $25 in kohls cash. So it was a win. read more

Be very aware do not order anything on line from kohl's. Run, just don't do it. They are horrible. You'll never know what you get in your order. Could be a name brand packing with a cheap lesser item in it that's been used. Could be a cheap set of sheets that have been slept on and returned. It could be a double shipment of another item or something you didn't even order all together. Their distribution centers or a logistical nightmare and have no idea what they are doing or what customer service is. If you call the customer service line you might get stuck on hold then disconnected. Kohl's in general is turning into a nightmarish place to shop. Run the other direction. My feelings on stores that constantly send out coupons stands with this place... If you always advertise sale and send out coupons, you are ripping your shoppers off with high prices. Sure enough, I get coupons in the mail weekly, and when I visit the store 90% of the racks are marked as sale items, yet when you look at the sale price of said item, the prices still ridiculously high. For example, my girlfriend was looking for new clothes and found a shirt she really liked. She thought it was a steal because the advertising told her it was 40% off and then she could use her 30% coupon on top, receiving an amazing 70% off this shirt... What a deal!!! Right? No. Even then the shirt was still $45... Come on kohl's, when you get your clothes from a sweatshop and you pay pennies on a dollar, don't mark up your items to make them seem likes good deal. Con-men is what kohl's is, and I avoid that store more than the plague. Buyers beware: their advertising tactics are working on you! Don't be fooled... I hate to say it, but go to Ross and get the same items for 1/3 the cost, or take a journey to the fashion district in LA and pick up some real deals. Oh yeah, the service sucks... From the front end, the aisles, and customer service. Rude, unhelpful, and lazy. read more

I have not gone to Kohl's for a very long time until I recently received some coupons. So I saved some email coupons and brought in the store. When check-out, this person told me none of the coupons are good for the purchase. WHAT??? He just said, "Oh I usually work in a different department... " won't give me a slack with my $50 purchase. Gabe is his name, so I think he is a very unhelpful employee. Very non-apologetic. Bad news!! He said all my email coupons were no good, and the he kept it in his registrar. I'm in utter shock on how I was treated by the woman working at the check out station. I can't remember her name but she was an older lady with long blonde hair. My boyfriend and I went in to get one set of sheets and the store was an absolute mess but I can let that slide since it was Memorial Day. Once we get to the Point of Sales line, I realized we didn't have my boyfriends kohls card or the coupon we left at home. I let her know and she cut me of before I could finish and told me to apply for a Kohls card to get the 30% off. I said I wasn't interested and she kept pushing to the point of absolute rudeness and saying "It's usually the woman has the card." And "I always hear about you guys." What?! I've never been to this location before and I definitely will NOT return. That woman needs to realize meeting her sign up quota isn't more important than decent customer service. read more

I visited Kohl's today on November 12th 2017. I had to bring a shirt in that I purchase the night before because they forgot to take off the plastic security tag. Although there was a line for the registers there was a lady, her name was Valerie, closing out a register so I stepped up to that register and she greeted me with a rude response she said yeah like what are you doing here and I looked at her and made eye contact and said really that's how you're going to greet me and I walked away. Honestly I think that when you're working with the public even if you're tired at the end of the night you need to keep your professionalism intact. It is not my fault that one of the tags did not get removed. Love your job or leave it people. I love shopping at Kohl's but I do not like being treated in a rude manner. read more

Recently went here after not having been since Christmas and saw good stuff in sale but long wait line at register with two open registers. Problem was, one register lady was as slow as molasses.. i mean super slow! The other register lady was the biggest chatty Kathy with her customer.. it delayed the line! She didnt turn around to see the line grow, then when she was almost done with current customer, she turned around but kept talking. I understand being friendly with your customers but what about those of us in a line thats not moving for 8 minutes due to slowness or chattyness. I like this store. Definitely shop here all the time. Normally get great service and prices are decent. Had to return a couple things with no problems. But PLEASE stop with the Kohls charge card thing. I get that you have to ask once, maybe even twice, and I'm sure employees get commission so they want to push it. But the last two times I've made a purchase I felt like I was being harassed. One was an older blonde woman who absolutely refused to ring me up before asking me ten times if I wanted to get a Kohl's card. I almost walked out and left my stuff. She was SO rude and would not take no for an answer. She just kept giving me attitude and rudely saying things like "I can't believe you don't want to save 30% today. It's simple math. Who wouldn't want to save 30%?!" She went so far as to apply the discount to "show" me what I would be saving and then told me I might as well sign up since she already applied the discount and that I'd have to wait even longer for her to take it off if I didn't get a card. She finally rolled her eyes at me and finished ringing me up. Didn't say have a nice day or thank me for my purchase or anything, just silently pushed my stuff at me and turned away. Next time was a man, middle aged, mustache. He was also VERY rude and pushy. Also tried to pull the whole "Why would you not want to save 30%? That just doesn't make sense. That's a bad business decision." No means nooooooo. There are a million reasons why someone might not want to get a credit card and you need to respect a no. Heck, they might not be qualified to get one and don't want to be embarassed. The one and only time I purchased an item that offered a rebate I was advised they would not be issuing me a rebate as they never received my documentation! Well lets see...I followed their instructions to the letter but they claim they never received my request even though the post office never returned my information. Trying to get through to their customer service for rebates was a joke....I hung up after a half hour on hold! Same thing with their live chat. I sent a letter and was advised that they never received my rebate request. Funny, they received my complaint letter, just not all the junk I mailed them for my stupid rebate. I stopped by here today to get a workout watch. I was helped by a young floor staff (I didn't get a chance to check his name) and he was very professional and helpful. They did not have the color that I wanted and he even checked other locations to see if they have the item I was looking for. I don't shop at Kohl's that often since I have Oaks mall nearby my house but I got really good impression from this store. It was a busy Saturday afternoon but everything seemed to be in right places and well organized. You need to have realistic expectations. You need to consider the money you spend at bargain stores vs places like Nordstrom. Considering the sweet deals they provide, I can't think of any bad things about Kohl's. read more

I bought a few pairs of jeans today at this location. Everything was fine until I went to check out. The cashier asked me if I wanted to sign up for a Kohls credit card. I told him I was paying off credit cards, no thank you. He asked again....in different verbiage. I politely said no again. He just didn't get the hint! I said no at least 5-6 times. He seemed annoyed. Look, pushy sales people annoy me! I said no..and NO MEANS NO!! I was so mad when I left. Even the customers behind me were annoyed that he just didn't get it. I said from the beginning I was PAYING OFF CREDIT CARDS! Honestly, this irritated me enough to want to file a complaint with Kohls corporate. If you are reading this, contact me!! No one seems to know what they are talking about and if you ask a question more often than not they tell you they don't know where you can find what you're looking for or anything about what you're talking about. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the Cosmetic girl is absolutely fantastic and so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable that I don't want her to be punished for the rest of the people working at this Kohl's. The lines are always ridiculous and the people at the cashiers are unfriendly, barely speak English, and genuinely seemed annoyed by the simple fact they have to work. I came in here on a Tuesday at around 6pm, it wasn't busy, but the place was a wreck. Overall the entire women's clothing section is merchandised horribly. It's impossible to find sizes because none of the sizers on the hangers match the clothing; everything is in disarray and aside from that, the smallest size they have in misses and petites appears to be size 4??? I think they would have better sales if the clothing didn't look like it was from a yard sale and people could actually find their sizes. I only came here because someone gave me a gift card. I hate this store. No one ever offers to help me. Their returns department has horrible employees working for them (theyre doing their job but could smile every now and again). But I met a gem last night! Her name was Joyce. She was one of the cashiers. She had a smile when I approached the register, said hello, and she even waived at me to make sure I knew she was acknowledging me specifically and not just repeating company scripts. She was very fast at ringing us up, she gave me a discount, and made sure to ask if I'd return to shop. Wow, horrible experience....went to make an exchange (gift). Store was a wreck, after 40 minutes found something I liked and correct size. Stood in line for 20 minutes due to too few cashiers. Then come to find out "the system" only lets you do an exchange for like items. I would have to go to customer service, like I'm gonna wait in another of your lines...nope !! Can't remember ever being in the store before but I promise you I'll never go in again. And we wonder why brick n mortar are going outta business, can't let the machines run the business. read more

KOHLS totally misleads you on their cash rewards.,They 'tell' you that you never lose them... even if you return items. I was assured this by more than one customer sales sales person who finally convinced me to open a kohl's charge charge card to get 'extra' points. When I did my first return they took '$10 off my total return saying I had used my $10 rewards and this had to be deducted from the first return I used with them...
