    Inside the store
    Peter X.

I stopped by this Five Below store since I had to go into the office nearby and wanted to wait for rush hour traffic to end. I found parking easily here since the plaza this store is in is very big and not ever busy. When I walked inside the store, it seem pretty quiet but we'll organized. I went straight to the candy area to see what they had. I then walked around the store to see what they have here. I got some candies and a rgb light for nephew. The check out process was easy, the person working was very nice with me during my visit.

Very nice place. Very clean and I had a lot of fun perusing the wares. Very different from a dollar store type of experience.

Samantha was so friendly and has a good attitude. I was greeted when I walked in by Samantha. I recommended this store to all friends.

Fun place. Most of the stuff is worth $5 (or less) but there were a few gems that I found. Lots of candy and electronics.

This used to be the 99 cents store. Now it's the Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree has a great selection of…read morelow cost goods for us consumers. Over the years, because of inflation and the rising cost of living, they had to raise prices. When the politicians fail to deliver their promises to lowering the cost of living, it gets passed down to the businesses and then the people. Some complain that the Dollar Tree isn't the Dollar Tree because they don't sell things at one dollar. I agree. It's one dollar and twenty-five cents or more. This isn't an isolated problem taking place in California. It's happening everywhere, blue and red. Many low budget stores are forced to raise prices when the cost of living goes up. This is why, you as the voter, if you vote, must hold the politicians accountable. Not say, I don't want to see the other party take in charge or it must be a conspiracy. When you let the politicians do whatever that want, and shout comments like it's fake, or fake news, it's you who pays the price. Not them because they're wealthy class people who make tons of money and can afford anything they want while the working class, middle and poor, pay the price and complain why life isn't fair. Calling it a scam, well, show me a place in Simi Valley, that sells a large selection of consumer goods for a dollar or less? Because right now, I can't find any. The store is clean, the shelves are stocked, and organized. You can find lots of items easily. If you're lucky, sometimes they get stuff from places like Target and Walmart, and sell them for a low cost. Now as far as customer service is concerned, you'll be lucky if there are more than one cashier. Just like the 99 cents before, the dollar tree has one to two cashiers through out the day. This location has always had problems hiring people. As always, when people get hired, they make excuses to why they can't work certain days, weekends and holidays. The burden is put on the store and us consumers have to stand in long lines, just to get out. In the end, the dollar tree in this location is a great place to shop. Grant you, they don't sell things at a dollar as it can go from one dollar and twenty five cents up to five dollars or more. But that's the cost of living today. Stop with the nonsense that you want things to change. Change only happens when you're forced to vote out the people that you generally support. Hold them accountable! Stop defending them because they represent you're beliefs. If you want the cost of living to go down, and it can, by voting out the politicians. Blaming businesses isn't the solution as they take a big hit as well and when people stop shopping, they go out of business. But as long as places like the Dollar Tree exist, there are people who need the goods for a low cost in order to survive.

What set this store apart was the courteous service to every customer by the checker in our lane. The lines were 10 to 15 deep and a call for a 2nd checker hadnt brought one yet. This didn't faze Amber. She just smiled and greeted every customer and handled the long line with courtesy and efficiency. This bumped an average store rating to 5 star for great service.

Dear Hubby has been super happy to learn of Mike's Clocks, especially. DH retired as a jeweler and watch enthusiast/dealer, and the love runs deep still. I was cleaning and found a unique acrylic-surround clock from the late 50s or early 60s that he'd forgotten about. He took it to Mike for cleaning and evaluation. In a couple days Mike called and said that cleaning and lubricating was all it needed. He gave tips for how to keep the movement safe (use it on a surge protector, as a power spike would likely fry the works). I fell into the rabbit hole of one of their crafty vendors who makes letter signs out of found metal objects. Creating a "J" out of a claw hook, topped with a bottle opener, fastened to a distressed piece of wooden board is an example of the craftiness. All of the pieces utilize things that might have been discarded as old, beat-up, possibly no longer useful. Their rag-tag appearance, when repurposed into new display pieces celebrates American manufacturing, back in its heyday. The hardware also reminds me of all the "pieces - parts" my grandfather used to collect in his garage. Nostalgia for days! We now own four of these small remnants of the past, but that may not be the end of it. The shop owners encourage diving into collecting the letters, by having displays spelling out "SPRING", "CELEBRATE", etc. Possibilities are endless! The various vendors do a wonderful job of freshening their spaces, keeping current with seasonal changes. Some of the accent furniture is repurposed, having undergone a milk paint treatment. Great prices, friendly staff. Keep a sharp eye out for treasures, lest another shopper snag one before you do!

I found this location and it is actually pretty neat and modern inside and I was told that their donation center is behind the building on the side where you can drop off all your donations. However, once I did find the area to donate. I did like how it is someone outside and there's labeled bins to put your donation items in. Unfortunately, the only thing I didn't like is that the guy really didn't help much and he noticed that it was a big bag I had to carry. I feel like they could have just helped out a little more, but overall, I feel like this Goodwill is very convenient and easy if you want to donate something you could just pull up in the bins is right there when I'm in the area and I have clothes to donate. I will come back to this location.

I asked if it was a mistake & she went to go & check. When she came back she said she couldn't change the price because on eBay the item was going for $80. I was surprised that goodwill has their employees checking eBay prices when goodwill themselves receive all these items for free. I wanted to add the Funko to my collection but it makes no sense that they mark up the prices per eBay postings. I might as well shop on eBay if that's the case.
