I was happy to see they had 2 pints of my favorite ice cream brand left. (My local GO hasn't had it for a few weeks.) I was also happy to find the last bag of ~8oz bag of York Peppermint Patties on the shelf selling for $2.99. Sure they expire this month but I just saw the same bag at Walmart for $5.99. I've been known to live dangerously when it comes to chocolate and I will consume chocolate that has been sitting in my pantry for a year so it expiring the same month as purchased doesn't frighten me. The cashier was really nice and I admire her that she is fluent in Spanish and we spoke briefly about how great her Spanish is. (I'm learning Spanish.) I definitely recommend this location. I just wish I had more chances to check it out but I live in Oxnard and even though I am in Simi Valley once a week for work, I don't have the time to pop in.

Cauliflower was $2 for a head. Jumbo sausage patties were $3 for 60g of protein. Silk oat and pea blend milk was $1.47 because the best by date is today. I wish they'd marked it down to a $1 but $1.47 is already $0.50 cheaper than their normal price so I guess that's decent enough. I'm not sure if the pound of tamale corn husks for $10 was a good price but I looked up the price at smart&final and supposedly, it's cheaper at grocery outlet. It really shocked me to see the receipt say 25$ at checkout though. Hopefully, my tamales turn out well because the corn husks were way more expensive than they should've been. I was looking for coconut oil and there was plenty of staff around Wednesday morning, working on restocking the store, so it was easy to flag one down and ask for help. She guided me to aisle 1 which I mentioned I'd already looked through and she went to check the back for me. A minute later, she came out and apologized that they didn't have any in stock. I appreciate her doing a thorough search for this item for me instead of just waving me in the direction she thought it'd be. I would've been sent on a goose chase for a product that they don't even have had she done that. I wonder what discounts they offer to people who have a phone number with them. The cashier never asked if I have one with them. Maybe I shall look into that so I can see if I can collect points since I enjoy shopping here.

Ten dollars is the price for Fridays, $8 on Saturdays, $5 on Sundays, $4 on Mondays and so on until you get to products that are worth $1 on Thursdays. New items are brought in on Fridays, a variety of items from games to photo frames to vitamins and supplements, steamers, calendars, knick knacks, and more. I've encountered items that I had no idea what it was and also found myself holding an x-rated item after I read the description to figure out what it was. . So yeah, they have loads of items and half the fun is just figuring out what you're looking at. Items behind the display case behind the cashier are more expensive as are the pictures on the wall. No "bin" really has any particular order to it. You'll have to dig through stuff here. You might want to bring gloves, but it's not really dirty so much as finding your way through a treasure trove of items. Some products I found online and compared to the price online doesn't seem like a great deal, but I have found and bought some random objects that were very useful on a day when the price is low. If you're curious, like a good deal, and don't mind burrowing into who knows what in items, then you should check this place out!

You also have a Smart & Final, TJ Maxx, Kohls, Panda Express, Del Taco, Denny's and many other places.

I'm not sure what they are exactly, but the pink/white flowers definitely brightened up the overall property of the shopping center. After eating, I walked across to Famous Footwear and did a quick walk-through, and then on to TJ Maxx. It's great that those businesses were able to withstand Covid-19 and are still there for shoppers. Most of the major tenants are also intact after many years. There have been a few changes, mostly in the food court area near Kohl's. Carbon Health has gone in between TJ Maxx and Target as a new tenant. I believe that's an urgent care facility. The Marketplace appears to be a strong local shopping / dining plaza for Moorpark. Its location near the 23 freeway at L.A. Avenue makes for great convenience. Lots of free parking!
