    Loving all the RED.

Just love love this location always finding treasures and things I don't need. This is my happy place and the happiest in all of Thousand Oaks. The employees do a great job of keeping the shelves full and fun. My only challenge with this store is keeping my self to one shopping cart.

Calling All bargain hunters, deal finders & shopaholics... Who's ready to shop until you drop? Get your running shoes on... Grease up those shopping cart wheels.... Stay focused and remember to breathe.... Ready. Set. GO!!!!!! Ahhhhh HomeGoods, the epitome of amazing bargains, killer deals and reduced prices on everything to decorate your home with style. At HomeGoods, you will find an eclectic array of decor, furniture, kitchen and bath wares and everything in between to make all of your friends jealous of the great taste you have, all while you save a pretty penny. My only piece of advice... If you see something here that you absolutely Love or even remotely like, Don't hesitate on buying it because the likelihood of it being there next week or even tomorrow for that matter is quite slim. The upside as well as the downside to shopping at HomeGoods is the constant variety of incoming merchandise being stocked, but the chance of it being there the next time you come back is a very low probability. The stores layout is organized by areas within the home and it can be like a scavenger hunt to finding that perfect piece for your home. The vast array of merchandise and constant flow of different incoming product make this store a great place to frequently check out to find the latest & greatest deals. Highly recommend if you are wanting to decorate your kids bedrooms with a specific theme. They have such off the wall cool things that can really elevate the look you want to create for your kids room. Best of luck, I wish you well on your shopping hunt for everything Good for your Home.

Things break when they are over stocked on shelves!

HomeGoods is a fun place to shop but I've usually found this location's selections mediocre. Today it was seemingly better and worse!!!! It was overstocked!!! I stopped in for a few things and ended up filling up my cart today. Lots to dazzle you. Things you need and things you didn't know you needed until you discover them here. This location is overstocked with merchandise on shelves, in aisles, and piled on stock carts left just about anywhere. It is truly a hassle getting around the store and g_d help you if you are trying to push a full sized cart around. With the mass of shoppers on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't easy. Also when a store notoriously stocks their shelves with items and then shoves more on top of, and around the already full shelves, it #1 makes it very hard to see what's available, #2 makes breaking something very easy, and # 3 makes it unfair to the shoppers when piles of items come tumbling down to the floor. I'm usually courteous in stores cleaning up if I drop something but the way things fall if you breathe in their direction, I feel like the customers should not pick it up but leave it laying on the floor. At least you can then see what's behind it! In all seriousness, it's nice to have a big selection! If you are not overwhelmed by the masses of things, then take your time and slowly look around. You never know what you might find!

I went to HomeGoods last week to buy towels. They had huge bath sheets, really soft, for $7.99. (My son, when he lived here, thought that he could use any towel to wash his car. He managed to use quite a few so we are repleneshing. All is forgiven. ) They have a great selection of merchandise at good prices. They offer a large selection in their large store. Kudos to their buyers. They have good taste. ** I would like a HomeGoods in the Oxnard/Ventura area..... please.

Found the chairs, the pillows, the horse, and the coasters there. It's impossible to walk out of there not purchasing.

In the…read moresummer of 2023, they held three of them at The Oaks in Thousand Oaks (east parking lot, where the Thursday Farmers Market is held). Not sure if they'll do multiple sales in 2024, or just the one. The June 8, 2024 version featured 65 vendors. Many were local to Ventura County and western L.A. County. Others came from further afield, bringing their antique and vintage treasures. I found a couple of things that will add some pops of color and interest to our home, including a "Big Red Cherry" metal pitcher, and a cherry-print accent pillow. It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours, browsing past all of the booths. I enjoy how many of the vendors bring in fresh flowers and plants to layer in color and natural touches to the whole endeavor. Many Americana accents were on hand ahead of 4th of July and other summer events. A lot of the vendors Dear Hubby and I know from other shows, yet it's always an adventure to discover new dealers from out of town sharing their finds. Each dealer handles their own transactions; there isn't a central payment station. Some of them only take cash, a few accept checks. Some are set up with Venmo. Having cash is often the safest bet. Generally, prices were fair. I didn't attempt to bargain for a lower price on the items I bought, as I felt a good value was offered. https://www.facebook.com/events/oaks-mall-thousand-oaks/summer-vintage-market/1110909930329406/ This is their Facebook page. You can check there for other upcoming shows. With free admission, free parking, and lots of interesting items from furniture to clothing, jewelry, accessories / home décor, there's a lot to enjoy.

I enjoy both Westlake Village locations, with the store having more of a boutique feeling, and the warehouse having lots of merchandise from which to pick. The prices are generally terrific! They do feature seasonal merchandise to inspire and fill in accessories to boost your home or business décor. They also keep a large stock of Christmas items, should you ever need them at any time during the year. I tend to end up with a goofy smile on my face checking out the different items that bring color, whimsy, and cheer. Right now they are Bunny-Central with lots of charming Easter bunnies in various forms. The location can be tricky to reach if you're not comfortable with traffic circles. Shoulder on and you'll find seasonal inspiration, plus floral options for days. It's just an adventure to wander in the many rooms inside. Lots of free parking, too.

We stopped by numerous times to sit in a few different chairs and to finally decide which one we wanted to purchase. It's being hand crafted in Japan as I write this! Both my husband and I fell in love with Japanese design and craftsmanship a few years ago on our first trip to Japan. Since then, we've been drawn to various Japanese shops and stores around LA. There are a couple great shops for housewares around southern California - but we never found a shop that carried Japanese made furniture. My husband happened upon Ookkuu's website while looking for lighting - and we were shocked to find that they carried a number of items by famous Japanese architects and industrial designers that we'd never imagined we'd find in the states. We're lucky to have this shop in South Pasadena - I don't think there's a shop like it elsewhere in the states. Their showroom is on the second floor of an office building, don't be fooled - they love walk-ins! The showroom is small - but they carry quite a few of the items from their website. It's amazing what they can fit in there. It's definitely worth a visit to see these pieces in person. They also have a few small items like glassware, incense, plates and paper lanterns. They get new pieces in pretty regularly - so it's nice to go back often. Can't say enough great things - we'll be back when we decide to make our next purchase!

**Buyer Beware: When a Discount Isn't What It Seems**…read more After four years and over $20,000 spent furnishing our home through Arhaus at the Oaks Mall, we thought we knew what to expect. We trusted their quality, their service, and their pricing--until a recent purchase shattered that confidence. We spotted a beautiful floor sample bookcase marked at $4,800. It was offered at 80% off, which seemed like a steal. We paid $960 and arranged to pick it up ourselves. But when we arrived at the store, we noticed something odd: a second price tag on the bookcase itself listed the original price as $3,360. Confused, we asked the manager for clarification. Her explanation? They had *raised* the price of the floor model by $1,440--42.9%--to $4,800 *before* applying the discount. In other words, they inflated the price to make the discount look better. That meant our "deal" wasn't really a deal at all. Had they honored the actual price of $3,360, our 80% discount would have brought the total to $672--not $960. We weren't just disappointed. We felt misled. This wasn't about the $288 difference. It was about trust. About transparency. About a store manipulating pricing to create the illusion of value. And for loyal customers like us, it was a wake-up call. We've since decided to take our business elsewhere--to retailers like Crate & Barrel or Restoration Hardware, where pricing feels more honest and straightforward. So here's our message to fellow shoppers: **buyer beware.** If something feels off, ask questions. Check the tags. And don't assume loyalty guarantees fairness

I'm not saying I am good at it, but this store and what it sells helps me greatly to be my best at it. While I typically buy small organizational items to fit inside drawers and cabinets, etc, we very recently purchased an ELFA custom desk and shelving unit that is installed onto a wall. We paid extra money to have the Container Store set up installation through a 3rd party vendor. Soooooo glad we didn't try to do it ourselves... not something either my husband or myself could've done without problems ensuing. As it was, we ran into what I deem as an "unusual" problem during the installation, which is the reason for not awarding all 5 stars. To give a slight background, the depth on all shelves is 16 inches. The desk depth is 20 inches. Enough 16" metal brackets were ordered for all the shelves, but ironically, no 20" metal brackets were ordered for the desktops. Yet, that's not even what makes this "unusual." It gets weird that when I spoke to a Container Store rep about this, she informed me that the 20" brackets do NOT come in the graphite color we got to blend with the walnut desk and shelves AT ALL.... the 20" brackets ONLY come in SILVER. They're not out of them; they simply don't make them in all colors that ELFA offers. Here I have dark walnut desk and shelves and dark graphite hardware, and then, smack in the middle of all this darkness, I have to get SILVER, or I get no desk. I NEED the 20 inch brackets. Period. But why tell me why does the Container Store (or is it ELFA?), in all their glory and brilliance and endless items available known to mankind, NOT make 20 inch metal brackets in graphite to match and go along with allllll the other products it has to construct this very custom unit that THEY designed and offered? I didn't dream it up. They did. I just said I want it. Nobody seemed to know the answer, and they still don't. Somebody, somewhere, in all their design glory, SCREWED UP..... and frankly, should fix it for future reference and need. As for our situation, we will stick with the silver brackets. I have my desk, and I really do love it. I don't sit there and stare at these brackets, but I know they're off in color. Thank goodness, their version of silver is not as bright and shiny as I would've imagined, but that's no excuse for NOT offering the 20" graphite color bracket. I've taken pictures for you all to see. Bottom line is this... pricey as they are, I STILL heartily recommend the Container Store for all your organizational needs, and by the way, when ELFA has a 35% off sale, THAT is the time to make the purchase... like we did. Saved us a bundle and made this opportunity a reality !
