This review is for people looking to sell, not buyers. I brought in a dining room table and chairs to sell and the owner told me that it wouldn't be a problem. She warned me that the seats might have to be reupholstered so the asking price would have to come down. I told her that it would be fine and to call me with any offers. While she was getting the paperwork together, I was looking around the store to see if there was anything that I liked. I found a china Hutch that my wife might be interested in, and the owner came over and went on and on about how bad it was. She told me that she would almost take anything for it (not sure that the owner of the hutch would agree). She wrote me three weeks later and said that she wasn't going to be able to sell my dining room set and that I should come pick it up. She didn't keep it for 90 days, and I'm sure she spoke about it just like she did the hutch. When I told the owner that I would come get it in a week, she told me that it wasn't even worth it, and that I should donate it--I told her that I'd rather sell it. So in short, this was a very bad experience... If you want to get as much as you can from your furniture, I'd take it to a better salesperson. read more

I am very embarassed by this, but apparently, I reviewed Encore Decor when I meant to review a conignment store down the street. Obviously, this needed addressing. The owner was kind enough to send me a very nice message apologizing for my experience and then subtly pointing out that perhaps I was at the wrong store. I would like to offer my sincere apology to the owner. His tact was impressive and I will surely seek out Encore Decor for a visit that I'm sure will be most enjoyable. This is my second interaction with Encore Decor. A few months ago, I reached out to them to try to sell a set of fine china I have and that time too, was greeted with a thoughtful and considerate response. What a beautiful store and great selection of comfortable and stylish sofas and chairs, as well as smaller pieces. And did you know, they will let you "try it out?" If you try a piece of furniture at home, and it doesn't work, they will take it back. Never heard of any store doing that. Monique, the owner, is an interior designer, and she can also help you get the window coverings you need. Amazing. read more

This place is fantastic, we purchased a beautiful high-quality couch in pristine condition. The original price of the couch was $3,000 and we purchased it for $800. We have been looking for months to replace our existing couch with something similar in style and color but it was either not available or way out of our budget. Over the years we have purchased furniture for ourselves and family and we are always amazed at the incredible quality, style and prices. In the past we have purchased a leather recliner never used for $600, we also purchased a beautiful custom-made sideboard which happened to be the size we needed for our sink and cabinets. Our contractor Brian fitted our sideboard with a kitchen sink and granite counter table top and gave us exactly the look we wanted. {Btw, I find it absolutely absurd that anyone would give this gem of a store a bad review because it had a camera to protect itself.} This is a high-quality consignment furniture store that offers outstanding furniture at a great price. Terrific store with wonderful high quality furniture. The owner is extremely helpful, knows lots about furniture, and is more than willing to share her expertise. The prices are reasonable and, of course much lower than what you would pay when buying something new. It's a really enjoyable place to shop and we highly recommend you pay a visit! read more

I've visited this store twice! I have enjoyed this store immensely. I purchased a dresser drawer here recently. When I purchased it I knew that it had a broken pull handle! I saw that it had been installed upside down and just was thinking out loud that it appeared upside down and that I bet if I just turned it right-side-up that would fix the reason why the handle came loose. I arranged for delivery and guess what! I noticed they had fixed the handle! Yup! I hadn't even asked, I had purchased it with a broken handle because I thought the price was very fair even with a broken handle but they had fixed it before it arrived to my house! I will definitely be shopping there again. read more

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at Monique Padberg's Encore Decor consignment shop. She had down filled sofas, Drexel Heritage and Ethan Allen furniture, and has been in business for just a few months. A few blocks from Encore Decor is a well established consignment shop filled with many more items but was a disappointment after visiting Encore Decor. The prices at Encore Decor were very reasonable and it will be a shop I'll visit frequently. I therefore disagree completely with Amy V. We spoke with the owner and found that her husband is a real estate agent and she is an interior decorator. The shop was tasteful in furniture selection and was invitingly displayed. read more

Very wierd selection of items. I saw a few pieces that were nice, but were WAY overpriced.

Best consignment experience! Monique sold 2 of our Drexel Heritage end tables and 2 Horchow lamps for a great price in about a week. We didn't want to deal with the hassle of getting the items to her so we used Matt (recommended by Monique) to pick up from our house & deliver to the store. Matt charged a small fee, which was well worth it and made the whole experience so convenient. Monique and Matt were very professional and made the consigning process so easy. Can't wait to do more business with Encore Decor! read more

Enjoyed my first visit to Encore and found several items I liked. Can't wait to take home one piece I found for my new home; it's the "inspiration" piece for my living room.
