My husband happened upon Ookkuu's website while looking for lighting - and we were shocked to find that they carried a number of items by famous Japanese architects and industrial designers that we'd never imagined we'd find in the states. We're lucky to have this shop in South Pasadena - I don't think there's a shop like it elsewhere in the states. Their showroom is on the second floor of an office building, don't be fooled - they love walk-ins! The showroom is small - but they carry quite a few of the items from their website. It's amazing what they can fit in there. It's definitely worth a visit to see these pieces in person. They also have a few small items like glassware, incense, plates and paper lanterns.
